    Hot Basil & fried rice
    Andrew S.

Got a to-go order at this restaurant last night, went to pick up order, the restaurant ambience looked good. Our order was Drunken noodles, Hot Basil and fried rice ( paid extra) and appetizer Fried Calamari. The good first, the drunken noodles were awesome. Very tasty, right spice, right portions and super good. The Calamari was good but it's a lot less for $9, the portions were super small. The Hot Basil was tasty but the meat vegetable ratio was very bad and the bad part the extra fried was so teeny. It was packed in a styrofoam container which was melted and bent out of form because of the heat. We were here for a soccer showcase, this is not going to feed a hungry soccer teen. Very poor portions for the price. What is there in providing a little extra portion of fried rice when charging extra. SMH! One hungry person will need 2 Entree's at this place.

Doesn't look much on the outside but let me tell you. This place is a little gold mine here in Goldsboro. Has a cool bar area and it's a cool little spot. The Satay is a great street food and the peanut sauce was so good! The chicken was high quality! The Tom sum or papaya salad is very refreshing change with it being a hot summers day. I like spice and I asked for a 3 out of 1-5 spice level. It was really good! I would even say authentic. If I was living in Goldsboro this is my Go-To!!! The pricing is pretty steep for the portion size that is my only thing that I have as a negative with this spot!

Being Asian and coming from Hawaii with diverse food restaurants, this place is a little far from authentic. However, it's not bad at all. I understand the history of this place, but I doubt it's cuisine is still made in the same manner. Their pho is ok. Not the best, but it's not the worst either. Their egg roll or their summer roll (both fresh and fried), are subpar. The pineapple fried rice was decent, the pad thai was delicious, and their fried tilapia was bomb. Their boba tea is lacking though so I'd pass on that. This place is as close as I can get to Thai food (or even a little other Asian cuisine), so I'll keep coming back, but don't get your hopes up if you're wanting authentic thai dishes. Customer service is great. I think the older gentleman is the owner, regardless of who he is, he's really nice.

We randomly picked this from the 2 Thai restaurants in Goldsboro, NC. I'm so glad we did! Social distancing possible, wait staff masked, hand sanitizer on each table, clean well equipped restrooms. Safety first. Door Dash and take out were popular options. Check. Now for the food! Five stars all the way! We met Larry, he and credits his wife and her sisters as the masterminds behind this authentic Thai restaurant. Much of it cited as family favorites straight from the sisters' mother. It has an extensive menu, at reasonable prices, full of choices, some very healthy. We had chicken wraps, and these were different from what we usually have. Nice addition of veggies. I had the Yum Nua salad, which I loved. Great combination of steak, veggies, spices, and zip. Hubby had the Khao Soi Kapow! Also very good with huge amounts of tender white meat chicken. I will not wait until my next birthday to eat here again!

Food is always delicious here at Nai Thai 2! We've gone several times over the past couple of years and have never had a bad service.

If you don't want super sweet teriyaki sauce on literally everything, don't go here. Get scallops?…read more Have a squirt of teriyaki sauce. Just veggies, big ole wad of teriyaki sauce. Who puts teriyaki sauce on scallops and veggies. Order Hibachi chicken, bam, teriyaki chicken. Never have I been to a Hibachi place, and I have been to a ton, and seen so much teriyaki sauce used on literally everything. Again, who douses the veggies in teriyaki sauce. I've never had such bad food at a hibachi restaurant. I mean the cook could have asked if we wanted teriyaki sauce. Nothing we ordered was teriyaki. Service, young waiter, took our drink order, brought them out and the soup and salad. Had I not asked about dressings I would have got ginger, which I'm not a fan of. When all was done and the waiter asked us how everything was. We told him that everything was covered in teriyaki and we didn't order any teriyaki. Anyways, basically two full plates taken home, mainly because we paid for them, but never again. Seriously, who covers the veggies (zucchini, onions, mushrooms) in 100% teriyaki sauce. Overall everything was just teriyaki flavored and no where close to the other hibachi restaurants we go to.

She's learning and I can appreciate that. The place appeared to be clean and newly renovated. The exhaust fans and the grills were noticeably cleaner than what we are accustomed to. We were definitely grateful for that. The seating arrangements were closer than we are used to in DC/MD/VA. There were literally five people in our party (four adults and a toddler). There were also two other couples seated with us around one grill. We spent over $200.00 and the chef stole shrimp from us. (See video) Very disheartening that your employees have to steal food. We ordered the Samurai dinner, an additional order of scallops, two Mai Tai, children shrimp, chicken and fried rice, salmon and shrimp, vegetable sushi, steak hibachi, and whatever else is on the receipt. I usually make it my business to graciously tip the chef and graciously tip the server. I did not tip the chef anything because he took his own tip today. Not sure how they generally tip in Goldsboro NC but the waitress/server was super shocked by receiving a 25% gratuity. I've never had two strong Mai Tai for $9.00 each. That's absolutely unheard of in our neck of the woods. I expect for Wafu to contact me and make this right.
