I waited 4 years to cut my hair. I made appointment full of excitement to finally get this hair gone. Showed a picture of what I wanted. Oh nooooo. She just chopped and chopped my hair all off. The back looks like a bad man's haircut. I can't do anything with it. I have a big thing to go to Saturday and my hair looks like shit like a toddler cut it. I called Monday to complain I didn't want money back but that girl needs more training more consultations with her clients. She didn't even show me the back, I had to ask to see it. Great salon. Very clean and friendly hairdressers. After some DISASTROUS encounters with a salon that the hairdresser turned my hair purple because she was lazy (several hairdressers told me their opinion of her and how she left my hair) and couldn't watch it correctly as the years progressed - to another girl that I saw for a year -who burnt my scalp where I had to get antibiotics and steroids from my dermatologist for burns due to a supposed molecule change in the toner... this salon has probably got it the prettiest blonde I've had. Doing low lights accordingly as well. I'm not going to mention the hairdresser's name that is doing it now here - as the salon that I was seeing for 6 years that was turning my hair purple from the toner still likes to stalk my yelp profile 1.5 years later - but what I will say is: ask for the hairdresser there that knows how to do blondes. They will know who you're talking about - as she's been doing blondes for 16 years and knows EXACTLY how to get the blonde you desire without the purple from toner left in too long and overlapped ...or burning your scalp so that you're pussing from the scalp. Hopefully my luck continues with this salon and particular hairdresser-as she does a wonderful job. read more

After just moving to Attleboro from Boston, I needed a new hair salon. I have long hair and would dread getting my hair cut as some would always cut way too much off! Well, after 3 years and many tangles later I decided I needed my hair cut! I googled salons in Attleboro and LaCave had great reviews. I called yesterday and was booked the next day (never would happen in Boston!) Kerri was my stylist and she was super nice, funny, knowledge and listened to exactly what I wanted. I've been going to my hairdresser for 5 years now and the girl is completly GIFTED! I don't know what I would do without her! So overpriced - people often think that things are better when you pay more. So not true. At this salon, everything is overpriced - and, every clip of the scissors is an extra charge - trim bangs: charged $10 - trim a little off the bottom: charged for 1/2 a haircut. And, then, there's the older receptionist at the front desk - let's not go there. At LaCave, you don't get an itemized bill - just a bottom line amount due total - no cost of services posted - don't ask for clarification....she will embarrass you. Being new to the Rhode Island, I came to yelp.com to look over hair salon reviews and notice La Cave was the only salon with 5 stars in my area. So being that i'm a little finniky with my hair and it being cut just right, I figure I'd give them a try. I called and was able to get a same day appointment! The atmosphere was very comfortable, the stylists were all friendly and my stylist worked so well with me in making sure I was able to get exactly what I wanted for my fall hair-do. She also took the time to teach me a few tricks and tips for when I style my hair, which I have actually tried a few time and succeeded! I am happy to say that the first salon I chose here in RI, will have my future business for sure. Also, the cost was actually LOWER than anticipated! Now that's something to smile about! After years of searching for a stylist that meets my (admittedly) high, perfectionist standards, I finally found Kerri, at La Cave. The salon itself is tastefully appointed - both classy and welcoming. The staff are always friendly and quite helpful. As for Kerri, she has been a Godsend. I always associated great hair stylists with big cities. But after years of mediocrity in both LA and Boston, I gave up and decided to try this salon since it's close to where I live. I called La Cave and asked for their suggestions on a stylist who could help me with my fine hair. I ended up with Kerri and I couldn't be happier. I've been going to Kerri now every 6-8 weeks for about 2 years.....I have yet to walk out of that salon even remotely disappointed. Kerri is meticulous and detailed. I have an inverted bob style, which requires a keen eye to ensure it stacks properly in the back. She is the first stylist that has ever been able to perfect this style on me.
