I called Aqua Specialties and left a message on thier answering machine. I got a call back that and Chris came over to see what was wrong. He found our pump had been turn off and switched the circret breaker on for the pump. ( my husband thought he was truning the hot water tank off) The pump came back on and it worked fine. Chris then went out side to see the water run and it was still murky. He said let it run for 20 mins on and 20 mins off to clean the sediment out. He was very nice to come over after not expecting a call back until Mondy because I did not call for emerancey call. Had Bubs out to fix two small leaks and prime our well pump. My mistake was letting them start…read morewithout asking for their rate or an estimate. Getting water running again was our priority but he suggested starting on the leaks. Not long after beginning, Bub's father told me they couldn't attach their fitting to the well line because water was coming through; realizing my well line is gravity-fed after beginning. I had to pull the well line above the water level myself before they could install a shut-off valve. My well cover is about 300lbs and the line is 8ft down. I'm not sure what their plan would've been if I was not there. After saying the water was flowing again, they later told me my pump was done for and not to run it. They quoted $925 for a new pump, not including labor. With two hours of labor, the bill also came to $925 and my family was no closer to having running water. The materials installed were six feet of copper pipe, several compression fittings, a shut off valve, and a pipe hanger. I called another plumber afterward, who knew right away (just from a phone call) that my pump was fine. He had it running smoothly in minutes by clearing a port of sediment and then adjusting the pressure switch. Bub talked a lot about his experience and showed up with help but needed me to find a way to stop the water in order to address the first leak and then either missed or ignored the step that would've gotten my pump working. Their website claims they're transparent and budget-friendly, but I wasn't told his extreme rate upfront, the bill wasn't itemized (still waiting 9 days after he confirmed he would), and I nearly paid for an unnecessary pump replacement. Leaving 2 stars because the copper work itself was solid, but charging $250 per hour for six feet of easily accessible pipe work feels unreasonable. Being given the wrong diagnosis on the pump was unacceptable and raises concerns about their expertise or honesty.

My Bubble-UP system needed to be reset every 24 hours so I called for service. The technician replaced a diaphram making it worse and said he didn't know what was wrong but would contact the manufacturer. The system was left disabled. The tech said I would hear back in a couple of days. I never heard back so I called and didn't receive a return call. I have reached out to the office where they say thay will look into this and call back, they never do. I have tried a couple of times per week calling and still no call back. It has now been three weeks of no call back. I reached out to the owner but he has yet to return my phone call. Apparently this company has no intention of servicing what they sell.

I felt terrible about my mistake and was apologetic about putting them off their schedule, but they never made me feel badly or that I had messed up their workday. I was treated with disrespect before the equipment was even installed (twice the installers missed the service date without calling to inform me) when they finally arrived they caused a major flood in my cellar with damaged my furnace. When I informed the owner he didn't even apologize. I have been calling and emailing every week for three months and they still haven't put me on the list for maintainance. In fact they claim they didn't receive and voicemail or emails from me. I offered to show them my phone records. They declined. I threatened to get my attorney involved and gave them two weeks to respond to me. I heard nothing. I called today and was told I was still not scheduled for maintainance because the secretary was "not impressed with the tone" of my last email. Despite the fact that I pointed out my tone had always been cordial up to the last email, she wasn't willing to listen to me. I have never had a worse experience with any company, and strongly recommend that if you're considering hiring them you will take this review to heart. I spent $5700 with them, the equipment has never worked correctly and they have treated me with a truly amazing level of disrespect for more then 3 months. I wish a rating of negative stars was an option, honestly, even giving them one star is more than they deserve.
