When I booked the appointment, there was no where to select that I needed polish removed for a Dazzle Dry manicure. They added the charge on without notifying me. I called to express my disappointment at their customer service and was told I made the mistake! All I was looking for was some validation about my experience and they turned the bad experience on me! I needed a quick manicure for a work event and was able to get a same day appointment at Lacquer Lounge Nail Spa. Their website is easy to navigate, and I was able to schedule my appointment in less than 5 minutes. The salon itself is actually really nice. It's practically spotless and decorated beautifully. It's a very relaxing atmosphere in general. I arrived about 20 minutes early, and when I walked in, I wasn't really greeted or directed anywhere. I understand the estheticians were preoccupied with other customers, but a quick turn and "hello" or a simple acknowledgement would have made it a lot less awkward. After standing around for what felt like forever, I decided to just go in and pick my color. My manicure was great. It was quick and done exactly how I wanted. One slight annoyance was the lack of drying machines. I'm used to having the ability to sit under the dryer and walk out without having to worry about my nails getting ruined, but unfortunately, Lacquer Lounge did not have those tables. It's not at all an issue, but just keep that in mind if that is something you're looking for. There's street parking right outside and I believe there is another pay to park parking lot on the opposite side. Overall it was an okay experience and this nail salon is definitely great for the area! read more

First time trying Lacquer! Cute little space with plenty of street parking available. Seems like a lot of regulars in the area come because it was busy and they all seemed friendly with their customers. I booked a classic, regular mani and pedi which runs $60. Gina was great, professional, and had great attention to detail. She did a wonderful job with my toes and nails. I have a broken toe nail which usually requires glue or a patch, but she felt inclined that I didn't need it which was interesting. That toe nail looked great when she finished though! I like this cute salon, but a few things threw me off: 1) they don't use heel graters; I read a review that said it's illegal to do so which is interesting 2) no massage chairs for pedicures 3) no drying machines, just a couch and spray. Staff is super friendly, space and salon is clean. The the above reasons would prevent me from coming back or making this my staple salon for my pedicures but everything else was fabulous. I've been a customer for about 2.5 yrs. I always have a positive experience here and never feel rushed. The salon has a relaxing feel and is clean - I appreciate they don't have jets in the pedi bowls which is more hygienic. So many OPI colors it's often hard to choose which one to get! All the nail techs are so talented yet quiet which could come off as rude but I think they're just shy. The receptionist is so sweet and does her job so upon walking in she is sometimes on the phone making appts or running around assisting where needed. They have online booking which makes it easier for me to make my appointments at any time without having to call during business hours. The one thing I wish they had is massage chairs at the pedi stations. read more

Hmmmm....service was okay. Didn't like that I wasnt offered to tip on a CC and wanted me to QR a zelle tip...very strange. Accidently booked the wrong appt and asked to change it. It would have been a 15 min difference. They made a big deal in out of it, while the tech was doing her own nails at a station. In the meantime, they took a walk in. This will forever be my go to spot! The space is feminine, with hues of cream, gold and blush, and extremely calm. Even with other clients getting services, I felt relaxed and not at all rushed, making it a truly enjoyable experience. I have been with Oyuka for two and half (2.5) years. I didn't use to get my nails done, but I felt having a pair of manicured-hands would be important, for I worked luxury retail in the past and now web fulfillment that I utilize my hands heavily on pulling orders, lifting boxes, and packing. I found Oyuka via Yelp and NEVER looked for another nail salon ever since. She's very hard-working, and you can call her a perfectionist if you want. However, in this business she's made for doing what she is doing now. I'm very happy to see that her salon has expanded and upgraded to be where she's at. "Lacquer Lounge Nail Spa" has four (4) manicure and pedicure stations. Therefore, it's still intimate just like her old "M Nails Studio," but she's got space to truly accept walk-ins when she or other staff is able to take them. In addition, her spa pedicure is very thorough. Oyuka takes time to connect with me while massaging my feet and part of my legs. The paraffin treatment is always a nice touch. She doesn't rush her steps; she takes her time. By the same token, don't expect getting in and out of the salon fast. If you want to use the time to relax, SHE'S GOT YOU! Oyuka's no-chip can last. Mine often look clean after three (3) weeks until the nails really grow out. She has high standard and does her job 100% each time. I know many of you don't go to a nail salon and intend to build a long-lasting relationship or friendship with your nail tech. Nevertheless, Oyuka is not only my nail lady, but also a friend of mine. Oyuka cares for her clients and you can definitely tell. Once again, I'm glad she secured herself a larger place for her business because she certainly deserves it. I visited the salon in October to scope it out based on the positive reviews. The salon did not disappoint! I dread going to nail salons because of all the chatter, the loud TV and the customers who choose to speak on the phone their entire appointments. This salon is the definition of relaxation. It is quiet, serene and the music helps set the mood. Everyone is there to relax and leave with a beautiful manicure/pedicure. I highly recommend the Milk/Honey Spa Pedicure. There are plenty of color choices. Regulars know that once you walk in you are expected to walk directly towards the bathroom (the back of the salon) and wash your hands before you check-in for your appointment. She also did the removal of the previous no chip manicure and it was a pleasant surprise to have her not use the electric filer to remove my polish. It is a cute space in a nice and accessible area, but this was probably the worst no chip manicure and pedicure I've had since moving to Chicago. My nails chipped after 4 days, the morning of a big event, and the pedicure was not great either. I had yo ask my tech to clean up the edges so that it wouldn't lift and she dropped the towel my feet were on on the floor 3 times and never replaced it. This is the only nail salon I will continue going to. It is clean, quiet, and peaceful. There is street parking all around the salon. The workers are all great and do an amazing job. I got the no chip manicure/spa pedicure combo. The spa pedicure was the best pedicure I've ever received in my life. They have an option of milk and honey or lavender, I chose the lavender. They have a wide variety of colors to choose from for both no chip and regular nails. Pricing is fair as well. I will for sure be coming back here. read more

Very chic, clean, and comfortable. After having a baby (8 months ago), I was longggg overdue for a pedi mani. I went with a girlfriend of mine and had the best time. I'm VERY ticklish and I warned the nail tech beforehand cuz I didn't know how uncontrollable/annoying my laughter would get. She was so sweet and accommodating. Even picking out the color was a process for me (I wanted to make the most out of this girls day so I was being extra picky) and they helped easily without making me feel like a jerk. This is by far the best place to get a manicure in the Chicago area. I moved over 45 minutes away but still drive to Park Ridge every two weeks for a manicure. The girls pay such attention to detail. If you notice something like a smudge, they are quick to fix it and they fix it well. And this attention to detail makes the manicure last AT LEAST 2 weeks. When my husband proposed it was after a 3 week trip to Italy while on a week long trip to Yellowstone. I was comfortable taking pictures because my no chip was still perfect (just a little grown out)!!! It is also not like those walk in salons, there is no drying station, just comfy couches; there are no bulky pedicure stations, just stylish couches and bowls. Each visit is an experience and like a visit to a friend's house. It does not smell like a typical nail salon either because they don't use acrylic products. The manicurists will have a conversation with you rather than the co-worker besides them. It really is a place where how you are treated is important. The owner makes it part of new employee training. They will also try different techniques to help your nails be as healthy and long as possible. They stopped soaking my nails because it caused the polish to peel once my nails dried, and now they only file my nails because it helps them not break. My nails have never looked better- and it is my natural nail not a thick fake looking acrylic set! read more
