A friend suggested I try this place about 2 years ago because she loved it and it was close to her house. Two years later I REFUSE to go anywhere else. Debbie and her team are the best - they help with color selection, my nails always last FOREVER (and I am real rough on them) and they are super accommodating with appointments. Ok so... I really loved coming here. But it's been 4 times now that I've had an off experience. It's just been a bad date with some of the nail technicians. 3 of the 4 times I've had to come back to get my nails redone or fixed. This recent time, I came in with butter yellow nails and asked to for the same color. I came out with... something light yellow. It was their lightest yellow. And of course, not what I asked for and definitely not happy. I was vocal about my distaste for the shape, color, and thickness of my nails prior to leaving. The thickness of my nails on one hand is thicker than the other and I asked for my left hand to be shaved down more. My nail tech stated that my nail beds were just wider on one hand. I explained to her that my nails don't usually look like this and said that I've gone here multiple times. The shape is better, but not quite where I'd like them to be. And well for the color, I can't change it until my next appointment. I've come to understand that I just need to ask for certain nail technicians. I learned some of their names and know who to request for now, but they get booked fast. Any person who gets their nails done just wants to feel happy with the result and I feel like I have to come back with a follow up appointment to get it fixed. read more

Cute nail salon with a private parking lot with ample spaces. My friend and I called to make a same day appt for mani and pedis and they were able to accommodate. Everyone is super friendly and they offer a beverage. The massage chairs are great! They have so many color to choose from and they specialize in dip which I have never tried before. I chose a lavender and my friend found a fun bright pink with glitter. My gal spent a good amount of time on my mani. I had some ridges on my thumb and she used some powder to even it out. Same with my pedi. They took great care in details. They have matching colors for pedis. There are a lot of fun pedis to choose from and we went with the Honey Sensation- it smelled so delicious and felt amazing and the result was super soft legs! Super reasonable prices. We did dip mani and gel pedi and the total was $139 before tip. It's been almost 3 weeks and my mani is still perfect. No chips at all and my nails feel very strong. Cute and friendly. I'm from LA and I needed a mani/pedi and I have not had good luck finding a place. I read the reviews and then booked my appointment. When I got there the receptionist was on break and everyone was busy. Then Tina appeared apologized for the wait and told me she'd be doing my pedi. Off to a massage chair and hot water. She was very friendly but not in an intrusive way. Then Tao appeared to do my nail dip, again very friendly. The ladies asked what color I wanted and then came back with some options. I know it bothers some customers when the technicians speak to each other in another language while doing your nails but I like to read so I don't feel like I'm being rude while they're talking. And whatever they were talking about made them laugh so it made me happy. My nails and toes came out perfect. It took just over an hour and I'm so pleased. Definitely going back. read more

I have been coming to Lacquer Me Up for years. The staff has always been very accommodating and it's easy to get an appointment. The first time I came here, I walked in and was greeted by the owner. I explained that I was looking to try the dip system, but another salon advised against it because my hands were in water all the time because of my job. Debbie explained how dip would work and we proceeded with the service. A little over 7 years later, I still return to Debbie as her client and I am thankful that she was able to get my nails in healthier state with the sip system. The quality is subpar compared to the prices. Everyone is nice, it's a clean and relaxed vibe; the service was fairly quick; but I left with acrylic stuck under my nails, on my skin, and with extremely uneven and bulky nails. My friend also got a set with design and it started chipping badly in no less than a week. Some might say, go back and get it fixed, but my travel schedule doesn't allow me to go back so I am not able to do so within the warranty period. I get nails professionally done for this reason vs just using regular polish. In general, after 5 years getting acrylic, never had such a poor experience. The reason why this is not a lower rating is because I did visit the salon for pedicures a couple of times over the past year, and they were good. So probably, good for pedicures, but not so much if you like precise work on your hands. read more

They overbook themselves. They made my friend wait 45 min for her pedicure which happens ok fine. But they stopped her pedicure to start someone else's before they even painted her toes. She was just sitting there waiting forever lol. It was bizarre. And for me, the pedicure was great but my hands I feel like are lack luster. Not because the artist wasn't great or anything maybe I'm not sure. The polish isn't to the base of my nails which means I'll have to refill sooner. Which some salons do do and it just feels scammy to me lol I don't know the intent of course but it's scammy in my opinion. My wife found this place and wanted to bring me for my birthday. I left with less than excitement. For starters she picked the place because it was said in previous reviews the place served mimosas/wine which my wife knew I'd love. We had no offer of it whatsoever not even water. I called ahead and asked if they'd be able to take us at 6pm for two pedicures , even though they close at 7 per google. They said absolutely yes. We showed up 5 mins early and picked our colors. My wife and I both sat down, Hanna began her "honey" pedicure, I waited hoping I'd get started shortly after or atleast get some water to soak my feet it. Instead I sat and waiting for 30 minutes before someone came over. I chose the cucumber pedicure. It was said that real cucumber would be used as well as honey in my wife's pedicure. Neither were used and instead we got scrubbed with a slice of orange..? Because my pedicure wasn't started until 6:30 (30 min after my wife) Vicky didn't get done with mine until 7:30. I then noticed in the door that apparently they were actually open til 7:30. As soon as Vicky finished painting my toes a different color than what I wanted bc I'm assuming the quality of polish I chose wasn't good. (I originally chose a nice deep teal color.. it was watery & bc I felt rushed I just chose the same color as my wife. hot pink.) Well long story short, I understand you close at 7:30, but please don't say you're available and then make us wait & then rush us out... I would have simply just chosen a different salon. My nail polish immediately smudged bc I accidentally hit it on the way to the car. Wouldn't let me dry my toes for more than a minute. read more

I have been here 3 times. The last visit was for a pedicure and a dip removal. The tech foiled my nails while doing my pedi and most of the dip came off, except a little around the cuticle. I should have asked that the tech NOT use the dremel to finish my nails BUT I trusted she understood how to use it properly and at the correct speed. Once she was done, my nails were extremely thin, beyond thin! I then asked her to cut them only because I could tell they looked weak. Then after getting home I had to cut them all the way to the nail bed because they kept chipping and breaking, my nails actually hurt! I understand anything can weaken your nails even polish, but my nails were long and strong prior to the dremel (see the photo). If you're getting your nails done, please don't allow them to destroy your nails with a dremel. The owner apologized but did not offer a refund. Her philosophy was that nail treatments are risky and can thin the nails so I should've known better. It makes me sad, my nails have never been this short, thin, and weak :( I won't return. read more

I was in town visiting and got referred to this nail salon by a mutual friend. She recommended it and said really good things about it, but to be completely honest I had the worst experience here. Their quality job is horrible, and the basic nails I did turned out gross. I got a fill with a light pink gel color on top and every single one of my nails came out bumpy rather than smooth. You can see in the attached photo, it almost looks like there's little holes engraved within the nail. I really don't recommend this place if you are looking to feel pampered and have nice nails. I came here for a gel manicure and a french pedi. First they told me my toenails were broken and wouldn't look right with a french tip and my gel manicurist thinned my nails out so much and cut me three times on my left hand. I left there in tears (not exaggerating) because of the pain and the unsanitary and unsatisfactory work and service they did to my nails. I had this done a month ago and today my nails are still brittle, thin and easily break I have to wear press ons to protect them. Instead of refunding me for this service they just offered me a discount for my NEXT visit. What makes you think I'd return after this experience? You traumatized me. I have been on the fence about leaving this review. This happened a few weeks ago and I'm still dealing with the results, so here we are. We used to be regulars here and had lovely nail techs that have since moved on. The last time we came, we wanted to have our gel polish removed, and we wanted to just have our toes and fingers done with regular polish so it would be easy to remove ourselves. After they tried to convince us to get gel, they then told us how much it would cost to remove the gel we had on. We agreed, and they used a drill tool to remove the gel polish. I didn't notice how much damage this did to my toenails and my fingernails until after I got home. My nails are destroyed and now they have to completely grow out before I can even put anymore polish on them at all. There are drill marks across every nail and they are all dented and uneven. Needless to say, we will no longer be regulars here. read more

I made an appt for 5:30, they took in two girls that came in after me and started attending to them right away. I waited for 30 mins before someone came and asked if I was doing dip nails. I told her no full set gel acrylic. She walked away and started attending someone who had recently walked in. I got up and the guy in the front told me that the lady that was supposed to do my nails left early and that basically no one could do my nails. 3 years later from this original review and I'm still going to Lacquer Me Up! Debbie has always kept my nails' best interest in mind. And I've seen her do the same with all of her long time clients as well as anyone new who walks through the door. She listens to what you want and always assigns the best nail tech to match your needs. I really appreciate how accommodating and efficient Debbie and her team is. If I need a last minute appointment (which most of mine are lol) she will get me in and I'll be out in no more than 90 minutes (sometimes even less!) with a fresh mani and pedi. While I've had my nails done by most of the nail techs, all providing great service, Trang and Tee have been taking care of me lately and I couldn't be happier! They have an amazing collection of dip colors, many of which have matching gel or lacquer colors. Their technicians are all top notch. In addition to a range of mani/Pedi offerings, they have a full range of other spa services as well. Lacquer me Up has been my dip powder manicure home since I moved to Las Vegas. The location, the cleanliness of the salon and the selection of colors and designs are what kept me here for so long. I do like that the technicians are always so happy to help me come up with ideas and are honest about what wouldn't look good and what would look good. I did try out other salons as I did have a couple of manicures that disappointed me. BUT nowhere in Vegas compared to them, so alas I'm bacccckk. And honestly happy to be back. Lacquer Me Up introduced me to "dip nails" and what kind of black magic is this?! I am now a huge fan! I dropped in for a quick manicure while I was getting my oil changed next door and they were able to accommodate me as a walk in. This was my second time visiting (first was with my mom for a pedi) and I have to say this place is incredibly busy/hectic but they somehow manage to stay organized and appease their customers. I was lucky to get my dip done by Debbie, the owner, who was nice and quite meticulous about my nails all while managing the flow of the salon. Talk about multi-tasking.. anyhow, I like how she filed my dip polish down so it was smooth, light, and thin. I'd say I was in and out in about 45 minutes. There's an urgency to their busy-ness business, with fast turn over and good quality. You can definitely expect to be worked on by 2 people if you come for both a mani/pedi which I like.. I have been coming to the nail salon for about a month now. Every two weeks when I get paid I look forward to getting my nails done. Everyone here is so kind and really does a great job. I'm always offered water, soda or tea. Kevin has been doing my pedicures and I appreciate that he takes his time especially because I have very bad ingrown toe nails. He always ask if it feels better or if I want more cut down. I always let the nail techs do what they want with my nails after telling them the vision I want because I genuinely trust them. I was in a hurry which is why I made an 11:30 appointment and had stated that while I'm the pedicure chair. When getting a pedicure this was my exact request, "I just had one last week so I'm looking for more of a soak and a 10 minute massage." I got a 30 dollar toenail painting. Very disappointed. I then went to get my nails done. I had to tell them what I wanted 4 different times and there was still confusion. "Please just file them down, and we can just do the same polish as my toenails. I don't have time for a fill today so I just need the polish off and the acrylic at my cuticles filed." One hand was done and then the lady left for a period of time. Finally I had to say, "Anyone please, I have a meeting at 1:00 so I really needed to just make this a quick file down and paint and now I can't even get them painted." I had an apt for 11:30 I'm not sure why it was such a struggle. I can say this is the first time I have ever had an experience like this when getting toes and nails done. And the response from their owner just goes to show exactly where the problem is. They are trying to justify their service they gave me which is fine but it isn't what I requested.
