I was told by my insurance, to contact Bill's to get a quote on the damage to my vehicle, that was done by another vehicle. Bills is one of the few shops around the area that deals with this type of damage I've been told, so I wanted to give them business before taking my car across the pond to a big dealership to be serviced. I called and a woman answered. I simply explained how I was unsure of what to do, what the proper steps are, and how to go about making sure my car gets fixed. Instantly the woman has a rude attitude and proceeds to tell me multiple times "she's been in the business for over 25 years and that's not how it works" - I again explain, I'm confused and unsure of how the process goes. She tells me bringing my vehicle in would be a waste of time because insurance needs to "pay her." Instead of helping me understand, taking social and context clues of "hmm this girl seems a little confused" she continues to disrespect, power trip, and belittle me. I understand that many businesses are struggling during this time, and I certainly have never been to Bill's, but wanted to help give back to local businesses before taking my car across the lake for service. It is evident, I will be taking my service else where as I also advised the woman she could take her attitude elsewhere. To the woman who was rude, disgusting, and randomly combative on the phone - I have been in the customer service for years as well ma'am, and I can tell you.. despite my age, I certainly would like to share some knowledge that I've learned along the way. No one cares how long you've been in the business, people care about how you treat them. You could've given me the worst service, but been an absolute gem, which would make me want to go back. Instead, you were a jerk, and made me feel very belittled and helpless. I hope others have had a better experience, but I certainly will not ever be going here.

We brought our truck to Bills Body Shop in Peru N.Y. to be repaired and when we received it back…read morethere were swirl marks(scratches) in the paint which made the truck look horrible. A few weeks later the bondo started cracking and coming through near the rear bumper. We brought it back and showed Bill,who said he would go good for the horrible work and we havent even heard back from the shop since then or received a call back when left a message. This is horrible service.

We were on the second night of vacation about 7 hours from home and I hit an animal, damaging my…read morebumper, with part of it curling into the wheel. The gentlemen at Dick's checked it out to make sure I was safe to drive, could still enjoy the rest of vacation, and patched everything up so it looks practically good as new until I could get home to get the bumper replaced. Their kindness and compassion was incredible and so needed, and there work was perfect - made it home safely and you can hardly tell there was any damage!

My car looks brand new and they even cleaned the inside out for me. (That's above and beyond in my…read moreopinion) I just expected the damages to be fixed. it did take a while to get the appointment and get my car back however it was right around xmas/new years so I understand the longer wait than the estimated 1-2 weeks, they also took on more than what I initially needed repaired (I hit a second deer just before the appointment for the first damages) and they repaired both in the same instance which was nice to not have to bring it back for a second claim/second repair. The communicated with me well through the repairs 10/10 would choose them again for any car related repairs.

My partner and I recently used Pellerin for their U-Haul services. The owner was extremely nice and…read morethoughtful and ended up getting a brand new truck with around 2400 miles on the odometer for our 800 mile journey. The vehicle still had that new car smell and helped make the 14 hour journey bearable. I can't vouch for the welding or auto body work, but judging from the U-Haul service awards in the office and the kitschy decades old tourist map of Plattsburgh hanging inside that prominently features the business, I can only assume Pellerin maintains a similar standard of service in all its endeavors and has done so for many years!
