I closed my eyes and woke up in the Swiss Alps, only everything was made of the most delicious chocolate. This confectionery, located inside the American Dream Mall is truly a dream. My head was dizzy with delight over the smells and tastes. I am afraid to list all of my purchases, but let's just say my dentist will probably be happy to see me. Cha-ching. The bark varieties are incredible for snacking while exploring the mall.

I was visiting the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Saturday to ice skate. They have a beautiful rink and in the morning hours not too crowded. After skating I walked around the mall and passed by Laderach, a Suisse chocolatier. Scheduled to attend a house party that evening I stopped in for a gift to bring along. This couple live in Hoboken, NJ and both work on Madison Avenue. I decided on a box of Truffle alcohol infused chocolate 8 ($22). Well, Forrest Gump once said, "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get". That might be true for life but it definitely is not true for Laderach chocolate. What you get is a chocolate that fills the room with it's aroma, an intense rich cocoa flavor, quality ingredients, unique recipes and hand-crafted finishes. If you love chocolate, treat yourself to Laderach. Laderach Suisse Chocolatier was founded in 1962. They have 220 stores worldwide. Elias Laderach is recognized as a Master Chocolatier.

Laderach.....oh, Laderach! My happy place for my sweet tooth cravings and delectable chocolate. Truffles are my favorite and Champagne Truffles are at the top of my list. They are addicting and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. A little fun fact as to why Laderach is so good and special......Laderach has huge respect for the cacao farmers. They only source ethically, fair trade beans for their luxurious chocolate. Service is always professional and helpful. Their stores are beautifully decorated and the displays are gorgeous. If you haven't experienced Laderach, please do so.....soon.

I almost walked right past Läderach, but the rich scent of chocolate stopped me in my tracks, and thank goodness it did. The inside is absolutely beautiful, sleek and inviting, and the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a smile and a chocolate sample. One bite of their creamy, nut-packed magic and I knew I was in trouble (the good kind). Smooth, decadent, and absolutely worth the indulgence. They let you taste before you buy, which is both generous and... let's be honest, dangerous. Every sample made it harder to walk away empty-handed. The quality is unmatched, each piece feels like it was handcrafted by Swiss chocolate angels. If you love chocolate, this is an amazing experience Between the warm staff, luxury vibes, and unforgettable flavors, this place is a five-star experience.

Läderach's beautiful displays are absolutely eye-catching, you simply have to wander in. The presentation alone is enough to tempt any chocolate lover, and once inside, the experience gets even better. The employees are always welcoming, generously offering free samples that make it impossible to resist a purchase. There's a great variety of chocolates to choose from, whether you're treating yourself or looking for a gift. The dark chocolate pistachio is divine, an absolute must-try. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality makes it worth every penny. I simply cannot visit the mall without stopping in for a sweet treat.

This is a Chocoholic's Heaven. They offer you a sample and it's too good to be true. The hazelnut milk chocolate is decadent and smooth. The price is based off of the weight. Everyone there is super sweet and nice. I'll be back tomorrow

This is a great chocolate shop!! Pros: - They have a wide array of flavors I haven't seen before - They don't skimp with the samples - They are very good at judging the weight of a piece of chocolate before it's weighed, so you get one solid piece instead of smaller ones. Aesthetically, it looks much better when packaged. Cons: - The store is disorganized; the place to sample the chocolates is right next to the cashier, but the place to weigh the chocolate is separate so there was a lot of back-and-forth between crowds which was confusing - They don't have many standard flavors like peppermint, caramel, or cherry.

The chocolate here is incredible! There are so many options to choose from, you can't go wrong with any choice. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, answering all our questions with ease. We got to sample a few chocolates, and each one was absolutely delicious. Their products also make for perfect gifts. We will definitely be back for more!

My second visit to a Laderach chocolate store. This time in the American dream mall! This location was definitely more retail and sold many packaged items and different types of their Swiss chocolate. At the current time it was busy and there was a line to purchase the chocolate. Laderach has very good chocolate with many containing fruits and nuts which are delicious. Their quality is good and prices are even better. This shop is easy to find in the American Dream mall and is surrounded by other stores that you can browse. I highly recommend visiting at least one of their locations. It is very worth it.

I was almost afraid to stop in, the chunky slabs of chocolate in the window looked so dangerous. I went in anyway. So happy I did. It's an upscale chocolate shop set up as if displaying jewelry. Streamlined shelves lined the space with pretty cellophaned packages of goodies in all shapes and sizes. I looked every wall up and down in awe while salivating, imagining putting a piece of that dark chocolate on my tongue and letting it slowly melt. Problem is, I had just eaten a huge meal. Then I saw the spinning tiers of tiny bon bons. I could manage a couple! I ordered one dark and one white chocolate ball. The kind gentleman helping me said I'm welcome to both as samples. My heart clenched. So sweet! You made my day. Next time I'm going to skip lunch and get one of those variety boxes. Or a slab of white chocolate strawberry bliss. For today, my two chocolates were exceptional! Thanks for being awesome Läderach!!

I've never eaten anything that I didn't like. My faves are: milhojas, breakfast croissant sandwich, and any and every cake with dulce de leche filling. I only tiny, minuscule complaint I have about this place is the lack of signage for the pastries and cakes. It would be nice to know what I'm looking at without having the ask. Absolutely zero gatekeeping here. Please everyone keep patronizing this establishment. I need this place to continue to exist in my hood.

So get anything fresh, like made to order cakes or things you see come out right when you're there. Otherwise you run the risk of getting old stuff, which sucks that they don't manage that at all. On a Sunday afternoon lines moved quickly and we were able to find seats. This is a cute cafe that offers plenty of savory items and lunches, plus drinks like matcha, cakes, pastries and cookies. There is also a bathroom! The women behind the counter were all nice and patient with my questions, they also kept the line moving and were quick. I had high hopes for the Alfajores as this is an Argentinian bakery but unfortunately the ones given to me were stale. The cookie was very hard. Also the Dulce de leche was too sweet and burnt tasting to me. I also got a chocolate covered one and the cookie in that was also hard and dry. The strawberry croissant was amazing. Never had anything like that before. Not too sweet and very flaky. It has a ribbon of red on the outside which gives it a unique look. I would love to come back and try savory items. I'll continue to stick with the cakes and croissants for desert and make sure it's fresh!

I tried the pistachio and rose flavor, and the sponge-like, moist texture was so good. It would have been perfect and super absorbent with a cup of tea. These are definitely specialty donuts that feel handmade and would be great for events like a birthday or a wedding, something with real significance. The service was excellent. The owner of the donut stand, when I saw her at Holi Seaport (downtown Manhattan), was very nice and humble. Even though she was working a packed station, she still took the time to serve me personally. She sold out all her donuts, which tells you just how amazing they are. The ambience depended on the event, since it was just a stand -- I didn't go to her actual shop in Weehawkens. Given that she does a lot of events between New York and New Jersey, the vibe will vary depending on which one you attend.

We got both vegan options they had that day (tiramisu kulfi cardamom and spiced chai latte), and they looked great for our snack. We didn't see the prices before ordering (not my usual MO, but it was busy and they brought over the unit to tap our phone), and when we saw the charge later, we were floored. Smorgasburg pricing is always kind of ridiculous, but this was so high that we thought something went wrong with the order. Over $30 for TWO donuts after taxes and fees? I'm all for supporting small businesses, but for two small donuts, that's kind of outrageous. For the price we paid, I'd expect the best donuts I've ever had in my life, and while these were fine, they were not that. Since the flavors are Indian-inspired, they're flavors that are not common at other donut shops, which is great, but the pricing is just completely off. Pretty donuts, but can't see spending this much again.

I was craving sugar after a really good snowboard day, which is my go to flavor after snowboarding any day xD, but I've been eyeing these cookies for awhile! I'm so glad I tried them! Definitely will return! There was a line to get these cookies, so they must be something special!! PRICE They're $5 a cookie, but these cookies are muffin sized! They're gigantic! Very worth the price. A lot to eat. You will not finish it in one sitting, especially more so certain flavors. Certain flavors are just over powering. I have a huge sweet tooth, and I did not and could not finish this in one sitting. They're super soft too, well baked, way better than Crumbl Cookies. Packaged well. COOKIE FLAVORS I TRIED: - Sea Salt Chocolate Chunk - Snickerchurro - Triple Chocolate - Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk SEA SALT CHOCOLATE CHUNK Sea salt chocolate chunk was good but I didn't quite taste the the sea salt. It tasted like a regular chocolate chip cookie. A bit too sweet for my liking and I felt like I was gonna throw up a few times after eating it. The taste of everything was amazing but the filling was just too much to enjoy well. It took me multiple times to finish it. Rating: 4 out of 5 TRIPLE CHOCOLATE Tasted more like a brownie, and probably my favorite out of the bunch. Probably because this was the only one I could finish in one sitting because it wasn't over powering. Rating 5 out of 5 PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE CHUNK This is an easily forgettable flavor. There's nothing that was wrong with it, and there was nothing that really stood out to me either. It tasted like a regular peanut butter chocolate cookie. Rating: 3 out of 5 OVERALL It took me the span of a full week to finish all the cookies. I gave my "free" cookie to my sister. Which she also ate one half one day and the other half another day. They are huge and some of the flavors can be a lot. But they're highly worth the money and will try to stop by at an earlier time to buy some of the other flavors! If I do, I will update my review.
