This is my favorite bakery in the area. I've been coming here for years. I am not sure what is going on lately, but I have now had three bad experiences with my food. The last three times I've ordered. 1st time- I ordered on Uber eats, an egg and cheese sandwich and they sent it brick cold. I'm not sure why whoever was working would think to not warm up the sandwich. Made no sense. 2nd attempt- I ordered the same egg and cheese sandwich and it was drier than cardboard. I've been getting this sandwich for years. I'm not sure if they forgot to put butter on it but the sandwich is typically never dry. Not sure what happened there. 3rd attempt- At store. The new employees seemed frazzled and you need to repeat your order to them about 10 times because they keep forgetting what you just told them one minute ago. I love this place and I'm only giving this review so that it doesn't go downhill. There are a lot of new cafés opening up in the area and I would hate for them to be left in the dust. The owner is very kind and cares about her customers, so I know she will care about this review and do something about it. read more

Honestly can't say enough about this neighborhood bakery. Camille is such a tremendous part of this community! The owner and staff are so sweet and attentive. I have yet to try anything I didn't like, even treats I'm not usually crazy about from other bakeries. It's wild how much of a variety they have for such a cozy spot (gluten free items included). They also have some of the MEANEST croissants and sandwiches (that's a good thing lol). And the fresh bread AYOOO! Try everything! But be careful with the croissant loafs, first your just picking at it little bits at time and next thing you know BOW it's gone and you're walking back around the corner for another one because nobody else got a piece. Perfect financiers and tasty latte. Love the fact that they offered coffee ice cubes. This is rare to find these days. The line moved quickly and the staff was friendly and helpful. The quiche we ordered wasn't warmed enough. I'd recommend asking for extra hot on the pastry. There's seating for about 8 people in steel stools and three two tops outside on the sidewalk. Lovely French decor and offerings. I particularly liked the handmade card / postcard station. read more

Never would have thought there would be a French bakery in the heart of West New York but here we are! It's definitely in the middle of WNY and If you know anything about that area you know parking is a challenge. However typically in the morning hours you can find a spot. The bakery itself is small with no seating so it's more of a grab and go. They have a lot of French pastries to choose from some I've never heard of. They even had a few vegan muffins for the vegan folks. I decided to get an almond croissant though I wanted everything! Now I've been to Paris and swore I would never have another almond croissant in the US but this one was pretty amazing. It was moist and flaky. Just the perfect combo. I also had a cappuccino which was made with the right amount of espresso to foam ratio which is hard to come by. They also have non dairy milks. They have cookies, sandwiches and cakes as well. Definitely a nice change in food types for the neighborhood. I will definitely be back for a cheat pastry. The service was good as well as the woman behind the counter was very friendly. read more

I ordered from grub hub at random! Just wanted something sweet! I got a the cinnamon escargot, the roasted red pepper thingy and the vegan muffin! OMG! Everything! Then I come to yelp and of course! It's a five star bakery near me that I don't know about! I'll be walking just their door today! I also got the zucchini soup which was bland as heck! Not worth taking a second bite. No flavor at all. What a neighborhood gem this little French pastry shop was to find out about. It's a blessing and a curse because I see myself coming here often for a quality French pastry. The quality of their baked goods does not compare with any others in the surrounding area and a quick drive or even walk from Weehawken. I am never disappointed and everything Camille (the owner) makes, you can tell is made with love, intention, skill and passion. Her French classics are divine, perfectly flaky and buttery, just the right amount of sweet. Everything from her various croissants (almond is my fave and the BEST in our area) to her quiches, to her other baked goods are amazing. I even got to try a true French King Cake and what a difference between that and the New Orleans style. Parking is the only challenge, as is common in West New York, but totally worth the trip. Egg sandwich needed to be warmed up more, would've been better if you add cheese and an aoili but the bread was so good. Very friendly staff inside. The cutest little French bakery!!!! They do really good coffee, I recommend their mocha. Their sandwiches are also surprisingly good - they look pretty average in the display case but the bread is divine and they're perfect to take to go and eat whenever. I'm a huge fan of their cheese twists. They also do special orders for special holidays and occasions, I remember for Thanksgiving you could order ahead of time and that would be a great way to have fresh and delicious breads and pastries when you're hosting! read more

In Northern Hudson County county you can get great Hispanic baked goods but French is almost impossible. This place is legit French baking with a few Spanish twists mixed in. Great place to pop in for Breakfast and Lunch. The almond croissant is my new favorite and definitely will be visiting often. One day I just happened to be driving by and caught them before they closed. I must say one of the best decisions ever. I have gone back so many times since then. The almond croissants are absolutely amazing. They are the best I've ever had in my life, and i have had many. I have tried other things and eve thing tastes good, but the croissants have my heart. This past week I tried their iced coffee. OMG! This is the only cafe I have been to that offers coffee ice! It's small things like this that make an iced coffee that much better. My husband and i get all drooly for this place all the time. We've had amazing croissants before but I think hands down - this beats them all! That almond croissant does everything right - even the parts that look burned are buttery delicious - not really burned but crispy and perfect! The filling is just so well balanced between almond and sweetness. its delightful! Something to try is their canelles. I don't know what kind of evil genius this is but they are soo incredibly addicting! Don't let them fool you - they again look burned but its caramelized on the outside and soft, buttery, ever so slightly gooey on the inside. They are bite-sized pieces of heaven! Also try the nutella croissant and the LEMON TART!! The place doesn't have a lot of space inside and often there's a wait but I never mind - so worth it!! I don't write reviews too often but felt this was very deserving. First off this place is adorable, the staff is so lovely and inviting. We tried a few types of croissants, which were comparable to ones you would find in France. The caneles were addicting, I've only had them once in Bourdeux and forgot how delicious they were.
