My parents used to live in this neighborhood and Nail Pro used to be a regular stop for me. I hadn't been here in years but stopped in on a Tuesday on my way to mobap to get a pedicure. I chose OPI bubble bath. It's a very pale neutral pink. I was here in August after the kids went back to school so it was quiet and peaceful. I sat for a while to dry after. As a man I rarely get pedicures... I had a wonderful enjoyable time getting a pedicure here this week. The pedicure was as good as it gets and the upgraded massage was wonderful as well. Nail Pro in Des Peres has won a spot on my regular nail care visit list. There are two rooms full of Spa Pedicure Chairs. Each pedicure room has around ten chairs. They also have two butterfly pedicure chairs for little ones. The Staff will offer a menu with different choices as you are seated. My pedicures have never chipped from Nail Pro. Manicure stations are abundant. There are at least twenty finger nail stations with a wall dividing the tables. They offer manicures, gel, acrylic, dip powder, and more. Appointments are recommended. It is easy to get the time slot you need due to the amount of Staff at Nail Pro. The parking lot can be busy as it shares a lot with TJMaxx, McAllisters, and Aldi. read more

I wrote my first review of the Nail Pro in November and I've been coming every other Tuesday for a gel manicure from Tammy and been extremely pleased. In early June I picked a color that "lifted." They fixed the first one with a smile and without charge in about 15 minutes. When two more lifted two days later they said it was likely the color I had picked so they changed the color for me - again with a smile and refusing any payment. Two days ago my current color began to lift on three nails and it's a week until my next mani, so I dropped in. Again, they fixed the three nails affected and carefully put a gel top coat on all the nails. Again, all done with a smile and no charge. They absolutely refused to let me pay anything. This salon understands customer service. Not only did they provide it, but they do so with a smile. They seem to appreciate their customers and this customer sure appreciates them. I have been a customer of NaiPro for over 20 years. and have always been happy with their expert services. I wouldn't go anywhere else! Since the onset of the pandemic, when they reopened after a closure last spring, they implemented procedures to protect both their employees and customers, including plexiglass barriers between the nail techs and the clients, readily available hand sanitizer, and of course masking. I went here for the 1st time back in December (my usual location is the one on olive) & got a gel manicure from one of the ladies there. It was the best manicure I have ever gotten! Stayed completely on until I had a color change about a month later. I decided to again since i was in the area & had a great experience the 1st time I went. I went at the end of March and just wanted a gel fill. It was pretty busy, but I got sat right away. I had a man this time, and he tried and got me to try dip powder for the 1st time. My usual color is Big Apple Red by OPI which they didn't offer in dip. No big deal I found a pretty similar one! He rushed through my nails and as a result I've had my worst manicure ever! I needed a quick dip manicure in a pinch, and Nail Pro was able to fit me in right away with a walk in! Emily was my nail technician and she did a fabulous job. She was warm and welcoming. When I went back to get my nails fixed I was treated poorly by the nail tech and was told not to come back. The guy that works the front desk is also extremely rude and does not know how to run the business. He booked me with the wrong tech after scheduling an appointment and was unapologetic and made no efforts to make things right. The staff is unfriendly, their prices seem to change alot, the work is not quality (especially their pedicures) and they don't treat all of their customers professionally and with respect. Nail Pro doesn't have to worry about me ever returning. The way that they treated me was disappointing and flat-out rude. They won't get another dime out of me!!! Decent place for manicure. I came here since I was already in the neighborhood and have had a bad manicure the prior week. My cuticles looked horrible and I read some pretty good reviews so I figured why not? My nail tech did a good job cleaning off the cuticles and even asked me if they were acceptable before she started paintig them. I got a french manicure in gel. She only did one coat of white but did a fairly fine job with the application. However, I would have preferred 2 coats of white. She also accommodated my special instructions of wanting the white tips bigger. I hate when I go somewhere for a manicure and I am told that thicker tips don't look good with my super short cut nails. If I am paying for the services, I should have the right to get them done the way I want even if you don't agree with my decisions. She also cut my nails really short which I love! Overall, I was somewhat impressed but the place is quite pricey compared to other places I have been to. My manicure was $35 (before tip) when everywhere else charges $30. And seriously, nothing special was done to me for that extra $5 in fact, I got less paint for the price. This is probably the only reason why I won't be back. Have been going to this salon for a few months now. Always leave unhappy with the service but kept hoping next time will be better. First time cut my nails way too short! Next time another person finished and my nails were not shiny. Said something and they had me go back and polished my nails with a stone which didn't really do anything. This last time after 10 days a whole dip nail color came off! Have never had that happen in all the years I've been getting my nails done! Wouldn't fix it or give me a discount on having my nails done! Said most dips only last 10 days! Most should last 21 days or longer when done properly! Walked in at 3:30, an Asian man was at the counter cashing out 2 girls. When he finished with them, he looked at me and walked away. He did not acknowledge my presence. He went to the back and began on someone's nails. Next an older Asian lady came to the counter to check out her client, they close at 5 or 6:00, and she told me to come back the next day because they were busy. She didn't ask if I had an appointment, didn't greet me, and was unfriendly. As I was leaving, 2 Caucasian ladies were coming and they were accommodated. The salon doesn't appear to be minority customer friendly. I had to give one star to post. read more

I had a very bad experience today with this business and will not be returning. I have been a loyal, on-time, 20% tipping customer for 5 years now. During my time, I have mainly gone to two of the technicians. Today I called to get a dipping powder manicure and pedicure. My normal girl could get me in for both, but not until 5 and I had to be somewhere by 6. I asked if anyone else could do a pedicure before she does my manicure at 5, and the answer was not for me, she (the technician) is not happy with me going to someone else. Anyone else is able to be a walk-in, but because I'm an established customer I can only go to her for a pedicure? Ridiculous. I will be going somewhere else in the future. Too bad because she did a great job on my nails (hence the 2 stars). read more

I paid $35 for a dip "manicure" a month ago and now it is $40 for a "regular" dip not w the manicure part clipping cuticals. I was pretty disappointed in both the cleanliness of the salon and also the service. For the amount of money that they charged also there wasn't a lot of personal attention. Felt a little like a factory and got some eye rolling when I asked for a fan to start my toes drying during a manicure or some plastic wrap before putting boots on. The place didn't feel very clean either and they didn't give out any type of paper or plastic slippers so clients were walking around barefoot. If you're in a rush and lives right around the corner I would say it make sense to come here but if you're looking for a nice day out and want to enjoy a mani pedi I would look elsewhere. read more

First: I've been to A LOT of salons. I've never seen one with so many FULL tables and pedi chairs. The quality of the polish work was A-. The pros: The French manicure was very even and didn't make my daughters nails look stubby. Some places start well into the nail bed. No. Her nails looked great. The colors were plentiful. The painting was very well done. They were also very reasonably priced. Free nail art for kids. Lower priced mani/pedi for kids. No idea what it would normally be as I couldn't find a price list. The cons: No printed price list that I could find. They are very fast. There is no relaxing and just experiencing the treatment. People who came in after me left before me. They are fast. But good, so there's no diminished quality. Just no feeling of being "treated". After removing my daughters dark blue polish there was still significant blue "stain" on the corners of her nails. That would drive me crazy. She doesn't seem too upset. I'm not sure it could be removed but I bet I could've gotten it off. At any rate - we will definitely go back. I would recommend if you're looking for a quality mani/pedi. read more

I came here as part of a bridal party on a Saturday. + The place is really big and could easily accommodate a bridal party of 12 plus their normal weekend customers. +They have a lot of colors and have basic, Vinalux, gel, shellac, acrylic, etc polish. +The spa was clean and well-maintained. +The technicians wore name tags and were friendly. -Paying at the end was really confusing and took a really long time. It seemed like they didn't have experience working with large groups. They became pretty unfriendly when they thought we were not paying for everyone (we did, just not all on one check!). -Some girls got regular polish and it chipped before they got out of the parking lot. -I got a gel manicure and four days later I have a small chip. -They didn't spend a ton of time on my cuticles.
