After a heavy week, I booked a little reset at Sweet Mia Natural Nail Spa on Manchester Rd in Des Peres--and it was exactly the oasis I needed. What I got: the basic pedicure ($49!) What blew me away: * Complimentary warm neck wrap the moment I sat down * Hot stone massage included with the basic pedi (unexpected and so good) * Zero-gravity chairs that genuinely helped me unwind * Tea, coffee, and water offered--nice touch * Calm, clean, minimalist space + kind, attentive techs I left relaxed, polished, and honestly a little more like myself. Good to know: This place is popular--make an appointment. Parking and location are easy to get to on Manchester Rd in Des Peres. If this was helpful, tap "Useful" and follow me for more honest STL finds and self-care gems.

This was the most relaxing manicure and pedicure I've had.

Beautiful and relaxing space, friendly staff, and great pricing for the services. I enjoyed every moment and did not feel rushed at any point.

SELF-CARE MUST VISIT: Sweet Mia's in Des Peres! Sweet Mia's is the best nail salon in STL! The "Natural Nail Spa" is super welcoming and promotes health and relaxation! A few things I love: They use non-toxic polishes and even mix up their own lotions The pedicures are pure bliss with zero gravity chairs and fresh pedicure bowls that are changed between customers Warm neck wraps and hot tea are offered for all services You definitely need to book ASAP!

Make Sweet Mia your next spot for a self care day! I booked online for my birthday pedicure. Rosina took care of me. I received an excellent pedicure and shoulder/scalp massage. Anti gravity chairs, exceptional cleaning, and a scented warmed neck towel. I can't believe this is my first time here, I will absolutely be back.

Like someone previously advised - it's best to make an appointment before. But Rosina was very accommodating, as I was a walk in. Luckily she had availability and she did a very nice job on my pedicure! I love the ambiance - there are no TV's, but music playing softly in the background. I also really like the zero gravity chairs! Not only was it comfortable to lean back on (so that I can fully enjoy the pedi), I'm sure it helps Rosina and the rest of her colleagues with any sort of back strain. I shall return - this time with an appointment made well in advance! :)

Finally! So if you…read morerecall in my last nail review, I got gel-x nails but wasn't happy. After doing some more research, I found this place. I made an appt, showed up, and away we went. Upon walking in, I couldn't help but notice the aesthetic. The salon is immaculate, the floors were shiny and clean, and it totally gives off the high-end vibe. After signing in, they confirmed what services I was getting and brought me back. The person doing my nails was Paige and she couldn't have been more pleasant. When we got started, she confirmed the design and then suggested I get the gel builder vs gel-x and gave her reasons why. During the process she was extremely attentive, making sure I was satisfied with each step before moving on. Everything was fine and then it came time for the design. She nailed it on the first time! There were no struggles, hesitations, or sighs. She did everything with ease and was able to mimic the design the best out of all the other salons I've been to. Once she was finished, Olivia brought me over and did my pedicure. She was amazing and also super friendly. The massage chair was heaven and easily one of the best I've had whilst getting a pedicure. Overall, I was beyond pleased for my first time at the salon. While the prices are a tad higher than what I'm accustomed to paying, it does ring true you get what you pay for. The level of care and attentiveness I received was so refreshing and really made me feel valued. I for sure will be back.

Granted this was my first time coming to this shop and I wasn't sure of the process. I typed my number into an IPad and told them I was there for my appointment with the nail tech listed above. I was seated at a service station and then I was moved to another part of the salon. I sat and a gold small clip board was sat next to me on the table top. Finally, a nail tech by the name of Sam asked was I getting dip polish and I said not that I had an appointment with Chloe at 1pm for an acrylic nail set. A young lady at the front asked me was I "Stephanie" in which I stated my name and told them I was there for Chloe. Another young lady said I told her my name was Stephanie. Not sure why she would say that when I'm aware of my name. A short time Chole appeared and we got started on the service. I showed her the shape I wanted my nails and she nailed it. She was professional, efficient, and fast. This review is no reflection of her services but not sure if I will be back given the miscommunication in the beginning and sort of being blamed for the mishap. Was $50 for this service and it was pretty pricey for the basic type of style.

I ended up speaking with the owner and told her I currently had acrylics but was wanting a different sign. I sent her a picture of the design and she said she has plenty of people that could do it, that it was easy, and she'd love to get me taken care of. She then suggested I try gel-x, which I was somewhat familiar with but had never tried. When I asked how much it would be, she said $75.00 total. I decided it was a good deal and booked my appt for the next day. I came a bit early for my appointment and they took me back right away. The place is beautiful but this is where things took a turn. When I sat down, I confirmed the design with the nail tech but I noticed there was a bit of a language barrier. When she was unsure of what I said, she'd ask her co-worker for help. Things were going ok until it came time for the design. I noticed she did the design on both hands the same direction, when instead each hand should have been opposite. When I pointed it out, the owner came and said she'd try. She then sat down and removed what the girl had done but what she said next really threw me for a loop. She goes, "you know most people with designs get them facing the same direction." I said, "interesting because everywhere I've gone for designs always faces them the opposite direction ." Regardless, isn't that common knowledge? She then started on the lines of the design and made the comment, "this is really tedious, you know." I'm sitting here thinking, "wasn't it you I spoke with on the phone yesterday that was saying how easy the design was and that you had techs that could do it?" She finishes up and I go to pay. If you remember earlier in the review, I told you she told me it would be $75.00, so imagine my face at the register when I look and it's $110! When I told her this wasn't the price she said on the phone, she said, "well, that didn't include the removal of your old nails, the shape, length, etc". I'm like ok. I paid and quickly left. After 5 minutes, I decided that didn't sit well with me, so I called and asked to speak with her (the manager). When I asked why she didn't tell me that when I was on the phone with her yesterday, she was like, "you're right. That's my fault. I should have done it. I'll refund you the extra $35.00." I told her I appreciate the gesture, however, I didn't call for a refund. Put yourself in my shoes and ask yourself how you'd feel if you were told one price over the phone but charged something different in person." Again, she apologized and said I was right. I then asked why she made the comments about it being tedious and she said she was just saying it aloud but it wasn't directed to anyone. Again, even if you felt that, you could have at least waited until I left to voice your frustration. You meant for me to hear it and that's all I'll say regarding that. If she had been transparent from the very beginning, none of this would have happened. While I appreciate her giving me back the $35.00, it doesn't excuse the fact that she didn't convey the extra prices. Additionally, regardless of you how felt, you should know better than to voice your frustration at me knowing full well YOU were the one that said it was easy before I even got there.

The booking system is pretty odd- its online but it doesn't actually show you what is available. It gives all times and days- and you put in a request and wait for the salon to text you that if that time slot is okay or not. If not, they try to offer other ones, but it can take up to 24 hours to hear back. They are also closed on specific days but it allows you to book still. I just want to know if I have an appointment right away, so this system isn't ideal. The salon has very cute decor, comfy couches and great color selection- featuring nontoxic polish (really appreciate that). The salon is very professional, but other things were a miss for me. They dont have any massage chairs- I think that is one of the best parts. The standard pedicure is done pretty quickly- with minimal soaking, scrubbing, etc. The leg massage is really short with the tiniest amount of lotion (they use amazon branded lotion). They don't remove dead dry skin off your heels really at all. When I got back, I noticed the blue tablet they put into the water for the pedicure dyed the bottom of my foot blue. It took awhile to scrub off- but also how did they not see my foot was blue?? I also noticed the smallest bit of nail polish missing at the top of one of my toes. It wasn't the end of the world, but compared to how many nail places are out there I probably wouldn't go back unless someone I was with really wanted to. Overall experience: 3/5

I've recommended this spot to so many people scrambling for same day services. I've never booked with a specific person, always just chosen whoever is available and every visit has been incredible. They are willing to use any inspo pics and are transparent on cost prior to doing - which is so helpful in decision making if it's going to be a lot. The music is always so good at elevating the experience, and so is the bar a mimosa during a pedicure? What could be better! I'll never stop recommending this place, if you need a nail salon, pick HER.

This salon teeters on the 1-2 star seesaw in multiple categories. My nail tech is its only saving…read moregrace (for me). Short version: 1. There are a couple of great nail techs who do amazing work and they're nice. 2. The pricing structure is hella suspect. Feels like they make up whatever price they want to on any given day and I don't like that. 3. They rush the take off process if you're removing nails. It's unhealthy and it's painful. Long story: My first time trying them was October 2025. I was in need of a new nail salon with a bomb nail tech; one who was excellent with shaping stiletto nails as well as nail design. After perusing their photo gallery and seeing the shaping and designs, I decided to give HER Nail Lounge a shot. I called to make the appointment about 2-3 weeks in advance. I advised them of the aforementioned criteria and I was assured they had the perfect tech for me. When DD and I arrived, we were greeted and sat together, which I really liked. As I walked around the reception desk toward our assigned numbered seat, a lady smiled and gestured at me. I smiled back. Then something was said and a man came and sat in front of me. I was immediately off put by his demeanor; cold and unfriendly. I showed him a photo from their ig page and asked who did the work, to which he shrugged. He grabbed my hand and began aggressively ripping away the acrylic that was currently on my nails. No soaking, no foil & wrap, just tearing up your cuticles and nail beds PAINFULLY. After one particularly painful rip, audibly squeaked and I snatched away my hand. I said, "That's it. I need someone else." The young lady who initially smiled at me as I walked around the desk was the one who was originally supposed to be my person. She sat down and got to work. I gave her an idea and she took it from there. I was very happy with her and with my nails. The shape and design were great. The lady who did DD's nails did an ok job, but she was unprofessional. She talked on her AirPods 90% of the time she was doing my child's nails, cussing and acting like she was at home with her friends instead of at a place of business. Whew chile; the ghetto. And my nail tech had to show her how to do the blood splatter that DD wanted for her Halloween nails. Very simple, yet she was charged $120. The audacity. Upon check out, they push you to write a review. I was honest and told the owner that my review would reflect my honest experience. The owner apologized and explained that they want to give all the nail techs in the salon a chance. I understand this, but as a customer I expect to be given what I ask for. I've returned multiple times since October 2025, always going to my same nail tech. I noticed that the no soak nail removal process must be standard for this salon. They never take time to soak off the old acrylic or gel. Instead they cut and pry. They couldn't care less about the pain you're enduring. I attribute this to the salon rushing the techs, because why else would they be doing this? Lastly, the pricing. There are no set prices, not really. Everything is "and up." Granted I understand that the pricing has varying factors (length, shape, design). But I paid more for a fill-in one week than the full set I previously had (both with designs). That being said, the nail techs (especially mine) deserve top dollar for their talented work- 100%, no debate. What I want is transparency and upfront knowledge of costs. Not on the spot fantasy numbers, because $150-$180 (before tip) for nails bi-monthly is crazy work. The salon itself is nice and bright. There is a large bar in the middle, that's mostly for looks, I guess, because no one has ever asked me if I'd like something to drink. Every other nail salon that I've been to with a bar will always ask if you'd like something to drink. However, on my very first visit, the owner asked the Caucasian lady next to me if she'd like something to drink. So maybe it's for certain guests only.
