    Pistachio Cherry Bar, $3.95 (I think) - 3 Stars
    Eva M.

Lady Yum opened a much larger shop in the Village at Totem Lake, replacing another bakery. Compared to the OG in downtown Kirkland, this location is maybe 3x the size with multiple tables to enjoy sweets and drinks, and shop amongst their gift items. The décor is café cute without being overtly IG-centric. This location has coffee and basic liquor, such as a glass of champagne. When we arrived at 12:30pm, only one person is working, and we were the only customers. Service was warm and friendly. Food wise, Lady Yum is renowned locally for their macarons. I noticed recently they are selling brownie, cookie, and blondie bars. This store has them, too. The newest offerings are petits gâteaux (little cakes). These are all entremet types, or mousse cake. They have a small cake at the bottom, a mousse dome, a glossy finish, plus decorations. They are beautiful. P.S. Costco sells their gift cards at a discount now. The Food: The Dark Swan, $10 - 5 Stars Description: chocolate fudge cake, chocolate cremaux, bittersweet cocoa nib streusel, milk chocolate mousse This divine mini cake is as tasty as it is pretty. Modeled after French pastries, they are pretty darn close to what I remember in Paris. It tasted freshly made. The outer chocolate layer is surprisingly liquid-like. The server snapped on a clear dome and placed in an iridescent box; the Dark Swan transported to home perfectly fine. Pistachio Cherry Bar, $3.95 (I think) - 3 Stars Sweet and sour, this bar wasn't a fav. Sweet from the sugar, tangy sour from the cherries, it didn't sing one way or another. Macarons, $3 each - 4.5 Stars I have enjoyed their macarons since the OG store. I still tell folks about them. For this visit, I chose Irish chocolate, passionfruit, and lemon. $3 each is getting up there in price.

This location is a new one for Lady Yum. It replaced another sweet shop. So it was a pleasant surprise when I was in the area and I saw it... and who can resist a macaron so I went in Like all of the Lady Yum shops, the macarons are always consistently amazing regardless of where you go. And in my opinion, the best I've had of anywhere I've been. The outside has the perfect amount of softness and crunch combined. And the centers are creamy and delicious. And they always taste exactly like the flavor they claim to be which is amazing in my mind And because macaroons are made from almond flour, 99% of them are gluten-free. But it's super rare, that they are also dairy free. This location also has different types of mousse which had an amazing outside, beautiful shell. I just couldn't try one since I can't have that much dairy. They look like a masterpiece though and I don't say that about stuff like that. (The location in downtown Kirkland does not have these) Within the last week, Lady Yum has also introduced a new "bar" that I literally don't know how to explain but they give free samples (as of now, probably since they are new to the market since they don't typically give samples of anything). They are delicious. They are gluten-free The shop had plenty of seating that was super comfortable and was very clean. They have 4 times the gifts / fun items that you can buy as the downtown Kirkland location and they are very unique, and would make great gifts. There are things you would actually buy. This location also offers espresso drinks. They only have one type of tea though and it is black and caffeinated, so tea drinkers are very limited. I'm not sure which brand it is This location offers some pastries (which are not gluten-free), but the downtown Kirkland location does not They also offer champagne to go with your macaron, but so does the downtown Kirkland location. Like the downtown Kirkland location, the service was "meh." They are there just doing their job and putting in their time. They aren't unfriendly but they're certainly not friendly. In fact, while I was figuring out the tip I wanted to leave on the screen and paying with Apple Pay, the woman who was checking me out, was typing on her phone... But holding it kind of low so it was kind of in hiding... But very obvious she was typing on her phone. If I was the manager, I would be very upset about this but I know not to expect an amazing customer service experience there and I just wanted my yummy treat, so I really didn't care. This location has really high glass separators between the customer and the macarons which is actually a problem in my opinion. Well, it is only a problem if both the customer and the employee are 5'6" or shorter, which we both were. So we could not hear each other through the glass and literally had to repeat every single sentence that we said which was highly annoying. And there's no little place just to move over and quickly say what you want so you're literally talking through glass the whole time. Not a deal-breaker but EXTREMELY ANNOYING. I don't think many people could remember all the individual macarons that they want if they were to go off to the side and list them all at one time. So to summarize, the macaroons are amazing and worth the "meh" customer service, and just be ready to yell your order over the glass :)

I would give this place a 4.5 star if I could!!! I been to other locations so I knew what to expect. This place has new stuff so I was excited. It's a small place with some seatings. They have not only macarons but some pastries and other desserts. The people there are pretty nice, there was a person walking around talking to people sitting. We ended up getting: Butter beer macaron: 3/5 --- good texture but flavor is not there Magic bar: 5/5 --- this is really good. There was a variety of things like chocolate nuts Coconut etc. it was sweet with a hint of salt. Crunchy soft and everything in between. The mermaid entremet 4/5 - smooth top and crunchy bottom. I like the flavors. It think it taste better cold than room temp. Overall, I would definitely come back!!!

This is my favorite macaron place, it has yet to be topped. Every flavor I have tried has been amazing. My favorite permanent flavor is the raspberry chardonnay because it has a tasy raspberry jam in the middle. The seasonal flavors are all delicious too. I love their $5 macaron and glass of bubbly deal. They recently introduced a line of cookie bars/brownies and the key lime one is to die for. The shop is so cutely decorated and they have cute little miscellaneous items for purchase as well. The staff is also always helpful and nice.

I'm re-reviewing after my second experience for 3 reasons. 1. The first time I went in was a hot day 2. I chose odd flavors 3. I bought from the counter for my to go pack This trip, I pre-ordered a pack and then also sat down to enjoy the $5 special. On this visit the macaroons were MUCH different. My last review noted they were a bit chewy, I did not have that experience this time. They all tasted yummy and fresh! I would recommend placing orders ahead of time and maybe not visiting on a hot day, perhaps the heat got to them that day? Anyway the employee working was so sweet and nice as well. I am really starting to like this little gem

Came in on Mother's Day to get a treat for my mama & Lady Yum did not disappoint! This was my first time visiting this location, and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too crowded. I expected a rush with the holiday, but the timing worked out perfectly. As I started picking out macarons, a few more groups trickled in, but the process remained smooth and easy. The setup is simple and customer-friendly: choose your box size and fill it with as many mouthwatering flavors as you'd like. Lady Yum never fails when it comes to variety and creativity. Some of my personal favorites are Honey Lavender, Salted Caramel, Raspberry Chardonnay, and Toasted Coconut. Absolutely dreamy! My daughters are big fans of the Unicorn and Mint Chocolate flavors, which are both fun and delicious. Beyond the sweets, the shop itself is a whole experience. The whimsical ambiance makes you feel like you've stepped into a storybook; it's charming, cozy, and totally Instagram-worthy. Whether you're a macaron lover or just looking for a special treat, Lady Yum is a sweet stop worth making. Will be back to try their delectable entremets (beautiful, individual mousse cakes).

Lady Yum never disappoints! The newest location is beautiful like the rest, with vibrant rich wallpaper and velvet chairs. The addition of the espresso bar is very appreciated. I was so excited to see coffee was an option here. They also have entremet! Which, if you don't know is only found at some of their seattle locations. They have pastries too but on this second trip (first was their soft opening day) they were sold out, it seemed. The iced lattes we got were really good. I liked the espresso a lot. The entremet was of course delicious, and the macarons well... I got a 15 pack to go :) Such a great spot for grabbing a coffee and treat, or relaxing inside with a book and some macarons.

Had no idea that Lady Yum expanded over here! We also did not think the shop was open but we tried the door and were pleasantly surprised. The interior is super clean and polished, also cozy as in I could do work or study here. Worker was super friendly and talkative, introducing new flavors and open to conversation, definitely left a strong impression. They also sell champagne before 9:45. We were told that Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Peach Prosecco, and Hazelnut Hennessy, Mermaid, and POG are new flavors. They also have other classic macarons sold across Lady Yum stores. Each one is $3 but buying over 15 gets slightly cheaper per macaron. The Dark Swan - I had never seen cakes at Lady Yum, only macarons, so I decided to try a cake instead. Beautiful presentation and very creamy. I'd definitely get this as a gift instead of for myself, but had to make sure I'd like it before sending to others! The base is a chocolate crumb layer that's very soft, similar to cheesecake crust. The dark chocolate was not overly bitter and the mousse was very creamy. We were also told that this had been getting good remarks from customers. Chocolate lovers should get this.

They consistently nail the texture: lightly crisp on the outside with a soft, chewy center. I also really appreciate that there's indoor seating. The last time I went, my parents were visiting, and we sat inside sipping tea and chatting. It felt warm, cozy, and just really sweet. That consistency makes such a difference. Such a cute little gem in Totem Lake. Perfect for gifting or a small afternoon treat!

I was pleasantly surprised (and amused) to find their macarons with custom printing at the "REVIVE I-5" booth at the University Street Fair. I was amused enough to write a separate review for them. The quality of the artwork and print colors are fantastic and vibrant with the rainbow colors. Please see photo. If I was interested in custom macarons, I would most definitely order some from Macadons. The flavor in this case is a simple vanilla, which has its charms, though I typically buy other flavors. The shell doesn't have the characteristic slight crispy, which is understandable since these are not fresh from the store. The inside is a very creamy filling that squished out on the sides as I bite down. Everyone has their own texture preferences. I personally like it less creamy. I had a friend gathering to go to the same night, and wanted to bring some desserts so this place came to mind. For it being very wet and rainy, this place feels like a nice relief from all that with the bright lighting and the cafe-like feel of the place. There's a grassy wall near the back for photo ops, and there are some tables, window seating and front couch seating. They don't only sell macarons here; there's also coffee, tea, and macaron ice cream sandwiches. I got a baker's dozen, which comes with 12 randomly assorted regular-sized macarons in a small container. This particular one came with three limited flavors: red velvet, cran-orange and a pear-like flavor. They were marked separately on a card provided with the box that shows all their regular offerings of macaron flavors. This came to $36 compared to $40 for the same number of macarons if you wanted to choose specifically which flavors you wanted instead. I also got myself a Thai tea macaron ice cream sandwich; each one is prepackaged and $8. Both people working at the counter were extremely helpful in helping me decide what to get, and explaining the differences between both sets. Flavor wise, I was not disappointed: - My Thai tea macaron ice cream sandwich hit the spot! The macarons did not come apart too easily and I could still maintain the shape of the sandwich throughout. Ice cream consistency is great, and the Thai tea flavor is not too strong. The whole thing is not too sweet by itself either, and this goes for all of their macarons in general. From other visits to their stand during conventions, I recommend their Cap'n Crunch berry, lemon, peach and durian flavors for ice cream sandwiches. - One of my friends and I loved the Vietnamese coffee flavored macaron. Taste is strong like phin-brewed coffee and it didn't have much sweet of a taste, something that would not have done well for this flavor. - The cran-orange and blueberry flavors were our other favorites; both had tastes that reminded me a lot of their respective flavors. - The box also had dark chocolate, vanilla, ube, Thai tea, pistachio and salted caramel flavors. All were decent and tasty. What I like about this place is that the taste for all of their macarons is exactly as advertised and never bogged down by the flavor that macaron shells are usually full of. I can't eat too many of these at once since they can be too sweet over time, so I would save these for a group setting where you can share these. By themselves, they are a great way to get your sweet tooth the love it needs!
