Dark interiors with cozy, intimate vibes--perfect for a relaxed date night. We started with excellent bread and a lovely selection of Italian wines. The pistachio mafaldine was outstanding: nutty, creamy, and perfectly balanced. We also asked for a spicy arrabbiata (not on the menu), and they happily made it--packed with sun-dried tomatoes and a beautiful kick from the peppers. The chocolate bomba was a full tableside show and such a fun ending. Service was warm and attentive, and the live guitarist who stops by each table to sing makes the experience feel extra special. A wonderful evening with great pasta, good wine, and an easy, romantic atmosphere. Everything else aside, the uneven welcome at the door stood out -- some guests while waiting for a table were offered prosecco, others weren't.

Loved the vibe and the music (what a beautiful voice the gentleman had). My favorite dishes were the appetizer meat ball, the truffle cheese, and the pistachio pesto pasta. The group's favorite was the ravioli. I loved the tiramisu as well - big thank you for the free dessert as a birthday courtesy If I have to pick a bone, I was honestly disappointed by the carbonara and the wild boar bolognese. The flavors felt kinda flat. Thank you again for the amazing time!

There's honestly nothing like this atmosphere anywhere in Washington that I've come across. Rimini, right on Lake Washington Boulevard in downtown Kirkland, is an absolute gem with an unbeatable location. Owned and run by Italians, this place delivers a true Italian experience from the moment you walk in. We felt genuinely welcomed--more like stepping into someone's home than going out to dinner. The vibe is incredible. Minimalistic décor with black walls, framed photos everywhere, and classic mob-style movie clips (think Scarface) playing on a screen--it's effortlessly cool without trying too hard. There's also a fantastic guy walking around with a guitar who will literally sing anything you ask for, which adds such a fun, lively energy to the night. We scored an amazing window table and spent the evening watching the world go by--such a perfect way to enjoy the space. The service was outstanding: warm, attentive, and not pretentious at all. It truly felt like being welcomed into a family. Now, the food. Unreal. Flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with love. I had the Sunday Sauce pasta with beef sausage, pulled pork, and short rib--holy hell, it was divine. Comforting, rich, and perfectly balanced. And don't even get me started on the birthday sundae... absolutely insane and delicious. So fun. Rimini is the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit. A beautiful location, incredible food, soulful atmosphere, and genuine hospitality--this place is something special.

This is a lovely authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown Kirkland. They are only about a year old so I hadn't realized they moved in, until we decided to try it for my birthday dinner. I'm so glad we chose this spot! The restaurant has a small shopfront on Lake, and then goes back all the way to the other side of the street, facing the water. It is very cozy and the warm family vibes are really felt from the time you enter to the time you leave. It really felt like when I'm with my Italian extended in-laws around the holidays. We started with a bottle of Montepulciano to go with the arugula salad and eggplant parmigiani - both were delicious! Next we were entertained by lively accordion music and singing before our dinner arrived. For dinner I had the cioppino and my friend had the ziti. The flavors were savory and filling - and portions were enough to warrant leftovers! We finished the meal with the homemade cannoli and Nutella cheesecake, which they topped with a large sparkling candle (accompanied by beautiful singing!) Everything made me smile from ear to ear. We had a wonderful evening here thanks to the welcoming team of folks working here and the warm and inviting space. The only thing that wasnt absolutely perfect was the Montepulciano that we chose - it gave me a headache before we even left the restaurant. Next time I will go for a different rosso.

I really enjoyed the service at Rimini. This rating is mainly for the food. They have an extensive pasta menu and I ordered the carbonara. the flavor was good but the pasta was less than al dente and quite chewy. We also ordered the clams, which were good but fairly standard in flavor. One of the staff members entertained guests with his guitar and sang "Happy Birthday" with a sparkling candle, which made the evening feel unique and memorable.

My husband made a reservation for us for my birthday and it was our first time there so we did not know what to expect. When we got there the place was pretty packed so I was sure that this place had great food. We got seated right away due to our reservation and the waitstaff was attentive from the get go. The place is pretty dark inside, and pretty small, very clean and tidy, felt upscale IMO. We did not order any appetizers but I am more than confident they are as amazing as the dishes we ordered. The pasta tasted so fresh, and the sausage, meatballs etc in the dishes were made in house. They even had us try some housemade cheese (amazing) My filet mignon was cooked perfectly. I also had the white chocolate tiramisu where they presented it the most sweetest way possible. They sang happy birthday in Italian then in English and it was epic, thanks to Tony La Stella whom is their nightly entertainment. Highly recommend this place but I suggest make reservations.

We had dinner at Rimini Restaurant on Friday, December 12, 2025, around 8:30 PM, to celebrate our friends birthday and honestly... WOW this was one of those nights where everything came together perfectly. From the moment we walked in , the restaurant was completely packed not even room for a drop yet the staff was still on point the entire time . Our server kept checking on us, making sure we were happy, and recommending their most popular and must-try dishes . We never felt rushed, forgotten, or overlooked, even with how busy it was. Huge shoutout to the staff for being incredible with our 2 1/2-year-old nephew . They were so kind, patient, and playful, keeping him entertained and smiling which made the whole experience even more enjoyable for our family. Not every place does that, and it really meant a lot to us . The live music was a HIT lively, fun, and added so much energy to the room. It truly made the night feel special and memorable. The décor was beautiful too cozy, elegant, and very Italian , with a warm and welcoming vibe. What we ordered (and loved every single bite ): * Prawns & Calamari Fritti * Bruschetta Tomatoes * Pollo Porcini Marsala con Sacchetti * Gnocchi Pesto (no prosciutto) * Lamb Shank San Marzano * White Chocolate Tiramisu * Chocolate & Vanilla Gelato * Mojito , Mocktail , and Coke The food portions were HUGE and everything came out piping hot exactly how it should be. The flavors were rich, comforting, and perfectly cooked. You can tell a lot of care goes into every dish . The drinks were also fantastic refreshing, well-balanced, and very enjoyable. And let's talk about the tiramisu ... OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. One of the best tiramisus we've ever had light, creamy, rich, and absolutely unforgettable . A must-order, no question. A 20% gratuity was included, and honestly, it was 100% deserved . With the level of service, food quality, live music, and overall experience, the bill felt very reasonable. Parking can be a little tricky with mostly 2-hour street parking , so plan ahead. And reservations are a MUST this place fills up fast for a reason. Overall: Amazing food , outstanding service , great live music , family-friendly staff ‍‍, and a lively, beautiful atmosphere . Rimini is an absolute must-try experience, and we'll definitely be back again and again

Came here to celebrate a birthday. Reservations seems like the way to go as place was packed from when I entered to when I left. Allocate 2-3 hours for a meal here as there's lots of singing and the staff really want you to enjoy your time dining. Upon party arrival, we were served complimentary toasted bread with olive oil drizzled in it and some type of cheese with a balsamic(?) sauce on it. It's a little pungent fyi We got shrimp and calamari frittiti to share and both of these were delicious. I got pasta carbonara and this plate was huge, I took home half of the portion to eat for lunch today. We spent quite a bit of money for our meal, but I enjoyed my dining experience here with the accordion player singing and numerous birthday songs going throughout the night. It's definitely a nice place to take a date or celebrate something

My husband and I came here for our first wedding anniversary, and we had a great experience. The food was delicious, the servers were friendly and attentive, and the drinks were strong--in a good way. Definitely make a reservation before you go; it gets packed, and you can tell it's a favorite among locals. There are plenty of Italian restaurants in the area, but this is the one everyone seems to recommend. Parking can be a bit tricky, though. We ended up circling for a while before finding a spot. We didn't mind paying--there just weren't any open spaces. So plan to arrive a little early, even on a weekday.

The last few times we did a walk in, we couldn't get seated. So, made a reservation this time and we're seated outside on the curb side tables...a bit European but in the middle of a busy Kirkland street...lol. All pastas we ordered were very good and generously portioned. The owner I believe comes over to your table and serenades you with his harmonium. The cannolis were decadent! Next time I sit inside to get a more sut down, quieter ambience.

You come here for the experience and hospitality -- a true five-star affair. From the moment you walk in, you're warmly welcomed and treated with genuine care. The food was good, though not something I'd rave about. We were provided complimentary cheese slices and bread. The menu leans heavily toward pasta dishes and runs a bit pricier than other Italian spots in the area. That said, portions are generous, so you definitely won't leave hungry. The evening ended on a lovely note with complimentary dessert and glasses of Prosecco for digestion -- a thoughtful touch that perfectly captured their spirit of hospitality.

Right away the atmosphere is so cozy and the staff is very friendly! Theres live music and he was moving throughout the restaurant even to the back room where we were seated. There were a lot of birthdays and the musician would come with his guitar to sing to them. There is complimentary bread and olive oil which were very yummy. The meatball and caesar salad were excellent appetizers. The meatball was very soft and comes with burrata. The short rib ravioli was sooo good. The meat was very tender and the raviolis and sauce were very flavorful. The lobster and steak ravioli were absolutely amazing. The steak was so tender and juicy. The sauce was so rich. The white chocolate tiramisu was nothing special but still tasted great. They also gave complimentary prosecco after dessert as well as chocolates at the table. They again gave more chocolates as we walked out. The staff were so so attentive and were very personable. They noticed we had leftover appetizers and they immediately offered to take them and pack them up for us. 10/10 experience and can't wait to come again

The restaurant looks big and roomy. They have parking on their lot; the streets nearby offer parking, too. My BIL used to love this place because they have "cheese-on-everything". The Food: Italian Sausage hot oven grinder - 2 Stars Menu: spicy Italian sausage, marinara, green peppers & cheese Hubby had pizza in his mind when he choice this grinder, meaning the individual chunk (globs?) of sausage meat. The Italian sausage was literally a sausage sliced in half and placed in the sandwich. He said it tasted like a polish sausage with hot dog texture (yikes). It also has a pale red/pink color that resembles a hot dog (yikes again). The toasty bread that we saw in other Yelp photos was less so for both of our sandwiches. They were toasted but much softer/limp when we unwrapped our sandwiches. Vegetarian hot oven grinder - 4 Stars Menu: mayo, lettuce, cheese, onions, green peppers, black olives, tomatoes, mushrooms & seasoning I asked if there's a half cheese option. She said they can do light cheese. My grinder is well filled with all sorts of veggies with discernible cheese. It's fine by me really. I asked for no mayo, and I added my own hot sauce at home. It tasted quite good that way. The next time I take-out grinders again, I will bake them in the oven to brown the bread a bit. These sandwiches lost some texture on the way home. Note the website says $13.95 for all grinders. The Yelp online ordering says $16.95 instead. I didn't ask for a receipt, so I have no idea what the correct price is.

The service is often warm and charming. The restaurant is painted with warm tones and artworks of villas. Business partners from foreign countries often find this restaurant adorable. I recently visited with girlfriends, so extra desserts are involved. Lol. The Food: Salmone Piccata, $32 - 4.5 Stars Menu: Fresh salmon filet, capers, lemon, garlic, white wine sauce This is my standing order - a good size piece of salmon rests on veggies with a wonderful wine sauce. It's light, it's a repeatable dish, and I don't feel guilty afterwards. The tartufo is more unique, and somewhat reminds me of a much better Ferrero Rocher. I particularly like the cool gelato. The tiramisu is of course the classic. If I am sharing with hubby, the tartufo is the easy win.

My wife had never been here, and for me it had been over 10 years, so we were looking forward to it. Unfortunately, it turned out to be disappointing. On the positive side, the bread was good, the burrata appetizer was tasty, and my Marsala chicken wasn't too bad. However, my wife's Linguine Tutta Mare was not good at all. The mussels tasted completely off and had a bad smell. I tried them myself and they were fishy, not how mussels are supposed to taste. We told our waiter, and he kind of brushed it off, saying they get their seafood in daily and that mussels can sometimes be "that way." He gave no apology and no real acknowledgment to the issue, but just cleared our plates and walked away. To top it all off, they were out of the Panna Cotta, which was the dessert I'd been looking forward to. The other options didn't appeal to us as much, but we settled for them anyway. Afterwards, we still felt a little hungry. For our first lunch date in a while, this was a real letdown. Definitely not worth $35 per person.

Super tender (without losing texture), especially the tentacles, and the olives were so soft they almost just melt in your mouth. The sauce was so good we basically wiped the plate clean with bread without even thinking. The porcini risotto was fascinating. First bite had me wondering if it was a little to salty, and then it just... opened up. Turned into this really nice earthy, savory, slightly sweet thing. Kept getting better the more I ate. The seafood pasta carried that same sense of layering. It's not just "seafood flavor," but a combination of natural sweetness, umami, and brightness that made each bite feel complete. Our waitress Jennifer was super friendly and made the whole experience really easy and comfortable. We chatted with the owner, Michele, who mentioned he ran restaurants in Italy for 23 years, which honestly explains a lot. He suggested swapping our Aperol Spritz for a Campari version so it wouldn't be too sweet, and he was absolutely right. It paired beautifully with the food and kept everything feeling clean and balanced. Honestly, we're a bit spoiled when it comes to cocktails (we spend way too much time at Kro Bar), but even then we both felt their drinks had real thought and intention behind them. My friend and myself walked in and asked her for a table at the host stand. She asked if we had a reservation and I said no, and she immediately acted strangely and almost in a defensive way, and gave some strange glaring kind of look. The restaurant wasn't very busy at the moment and just had a couple of tables. I was very surprised of her reaction. We were kind of confused by this, and then we were seated and had dinner and then had some strange interactions with her in the restaurant during this time. She continued to give glaring looks and acted in an angry and reluctant way if we asked for anything such as a water refill. It's been months since that night, but we haven't forgotten it. Then we decided to give the restaurant another chance recently, and she was working, and we were seated at a table by another person, but she followed us to the table while we were being seated , and she then grabbed the tablecloth from the table next to where we were being seated, and she pulled the it off quickly and effectively whipped me with the tablecloth. She didn't seem to notice as she stormed off. I got the worst feeling about being there after that and we were debating whether to just leave. She was not the one who waited on us, but she proceeded to come back into the area of where we are seated and never smile, or look at us, but do things with the items on the table next to us in a strange way. It almost seems like she was listening to us talk. My friend and I had a horribly weird vibe which I've never experienced before by a service person at a restaurant. We both agreed we'd probably not return there which is unfortunate. We love the location and the food. I would suggest to the owners to reevaluate who has customer facing roles in your restaurant. It's a hospitality/service-oriented business. Treating friendly and paying customers like they're an enemy is not the best approach.

For appetizers, we got the meatballs, which were hearty and flavorful. For my entrée, I had the seafood pasta in a wine cream sauce and really enjoyed it. There was a good amount of seafood--not super crab-heavy, but enough to get a few nice bites--and the sauce itself was light and well-balanced. My husband ordered the chicken parm, which he said was good but leaned a bit on the bland side. Overall, it feels like a solid neighborhood Italian spot. Definitely a place we'd come back to when we're in the area.
