I stopped here for breakfast on a Sunday. It was bustling! There are many delicious sounding sweet and savory items on the menu - pancakes, crepes, egg benedicts, omelettes. The interior is casual. I had the salmon toast ($22) and added poached eggs (+$3) - it was delicious! The eggs were perfectly poached, and I loved the salad and the fruit on the side too. Staff are very nice :)

Mia Cafe is so adorable! The staff were all so welcoming and our server kind and patient with our chatty, girly group of 5. Everyone enjoyed their meals ranging from crab cakes Benedict to strawberry crepes to BLT and quinoa salad. Great brunch and lots of good items to choose from. We made a reservation and our table was ready right on time.

I'm beyond pleased. Best food place overall I've been to in Seattle so far. I was sat immediately, knew what I wanted and was able to order right away, food and Americano was in front of me in less than 10 mins. Not only was the food spectacular but the staff was so nice. I was checked on by 3 people probably 15 times in the 10-15 mins it took me to finish my meal. Nice ambiance and very clean atmosphere. Will come again for sure!

Chicken sandwich - Tender cheesy soft good bread

Found this place for Sunday brunch/lunch while waiting for our power outage to resolve. We ordered the chicken sandwich and avocado BLT sandwich with an extra egg. My avocado BLT was delicious - sourdough bread complemented with creamy avocado the crunch of lettuce and the crispness of bacon. Really liked the sandwich. The butternut squash soup was so good - had a nice balanced nutty taste and perfect balance of salt and sweet. Wife's chicken sandwich was also very good - tender chicken loaded with cheesy mushrooms and peppers. Fries were decent. Americano was great. Service was really good. Our servers were attentive, helpful, and very kind. Ambiance is nice. It's a well designed open spacious dining area with booths and tables. It's easy to hold conversations and very comfortable. Great for a date or casual family outing. Bathroom is clean meaning the kitchen is clean. Parking is easy in the lot outside. All in all, we're glad we found this place. It's a neighborhood gem.

We wanted to try a new place for brunch and decided to try the newly opened Mia cafe and Wine bar. The place was busy on the weekend, we had a reservation and were seated immediately. We got Veggie Omelet, Huevos Con Chorizo, Mia's Benedict, and Crab Cake Benedict. We enjoyed the Veggie Omelet, Mia's Benedict, and Crab Cake Benedict. Huevos Con Chorizo was a little disappointing, the Chorizo was not as spicy or flavorful as we expected. The Mango Smoothie was good.

Someone recommended Mia Cafe for breakfast and they were absolutely right when they said it was good food. You will find the traditional breakfast and brunch items but with a twist which I appreciated. I had the avocado toast and added 2 eggs. The dish comes with a side of fruit. The sourdough bread they use is great! The avocado was fresh and the greens were beautifully presented. Flavor was on point! I was happy that they offer to bring you regular milk, almond milk or oat milk for your coffee when most places only have those small half and half packages. The service was warm and attentive and the waitress told us about the establishment and the fact that they have life music during the weekends. Definitely give them a try! They do lunch and dinner too.

Located in the small plaza in the Juanita Beach area. Across the road from Juanita Beach Park. Opened last year, replacing an Indian restaurant. Mid sized with both indoor and outdoor seating. Off white interior with dark chairs. They have a wine bar on back wall. Went there for lunch/brunch on a weekend and it was about half full. Their lunch/brunch menu serves typical American diner brunch menu. Pancakes, eggs scramble, omelets, benedicts etc. Of course it is a wine bar so you can ask for the wine menu. Tried the lemonade and it was pretty standard. For food, I got the chicken donuts and the crepe. First time I had chicken donuts, and it's minced chicken in a donut shape and fried. Texture is that of a crab cake, but with chicken. Was interesting and goes decent with the mustard. The salad that the donuts came with was quite zesty and refreshing though. The crepe was pretty decent with Nutella, whipped cream along with slices of strawberry and banana. My friend got the Florentine scrambled eggs which looked decent, but I didn't try it. Portions are pretty good as expected from a diner style restaurant. Total was $75 including a glass of wine, not too bad these days.

While at a Yelp event last night, we purchased a bottle of Patterson Port to take home for later. This review is of that experience. While at the Mia Cafe, for our wine tasting experience, my son mentioned his affinity for sweeter wines and Alex the bartender offered a tasting of the 2020 Patterson Cellars Rubi (Port). This is a full bodied and very sweet dessert wine made in Woodinville. After one taste, we knew we had to buy a bottle. This was our first time at Mia Cafe. We are so happy it replaced the subpar place that was there before it. Upon speaking with the staff, we learned that the Mia Cafe is associated with Juanita Cantina immediately next door, as well as Plaza Garcia, Patron, and Plaza Santa Fe. We've been to several of the aforementioned places and enjoyed them all. They are well run businesses offering some great food and drink. While there, we also checked out the patio facing Juanita Beach and they have a nice fire pit out there with ample seating. One day soon, I will return to Mia Cafe and will enjoy the patio, food and more delicious local wines.

    Rocio breakfast

First time trying the food here and I was surprised how good the chilaquiles were! I asked to have them extra crispy so they didn't get soggy in the salsa, they came nice and hot to the table. No wait when we came around 9:30a on Saturday (Valentines Day) but shortly after 10 they got much busier. Ended up sending the pancake plate back cause the pancakes were somehow dry and still battery in the middle. Hash browns had a weird aftertaste. Would come back for chilaquiles and great service!

Came here for breakfast at 9am and there was only three or four people here. It's so nice to find a breakfast place that you don't have to wait hours for. Parking lot is spacious. The vibe is calming and modern. Food is delicious! The hash browns were nice and crispy! Would love to come back in the evening sometime!

Didn't even knew this was a new spot! Came here on Saturday evening in search of coffee. It says lattes and wine but turns out only till 3 pm. I was showing homes nearby, wanted to walk to Starbucks. My client never been in the area. We came into a pretty quiet spot. It was around 3:30 pm. Happy hour! She had a glass of Viognier: $10 on happy hour. I had their drip coffee. Really wanted the lattes. But Alex the owner gave me a few refills. I guess black coffee is better than no coffee. She also had some crab cakes. Looks great. Came with a salad. It was a nice ambiance for a very quick bite in between driving around. Though, our initial plan was to walk to Starbucks. My client loved her her wine and snacks. Next time, I'll drop by during their lattes/ brunch hour. Being right across from the beach, I'm sure they get busy.

Came early for a Yelp event and couldn't wait, so we ordered off the menu. Tried the pear and blue cheese on a crostini and it was pretty good. The chicken donuts were a nice surprise and the Dijon mustard hot just right. The manager was super nice, welcoming, and wanted to make sure we were having a good time. The dining room is lovely with leather booths. Will definitely come back for those chicken donuts.

Even with a reservation, we did have to wait a bit, but it was Valentine's Day, so totally understandable given how busy Italian spots get. Parking was pretty convenient with spaces both in front and behind the restaurant, and if those are full, it's close to the Totem Lake area so there are other options nearby. The ambiance was definitely unique--lots of mannequins, motorcycles, and a sort of roadshow vibe. It felt fun, a little quirky, and different from your typical Italian restaurant. Service was good overall, especially considering how busy it was. Our server was attentive enough and kept things moving smoothly. We started with bread and butter--nothing particularly special, but still enjoyable. The garlic herb compound butter oddly felt nostalgic and reminded me of childhood. For appetizers, we got the meatballs, which were hearty and flavorful. For my entrée, I had the seafood pasta in a wine cream sauce and really enjoyed it. There was a good amount of seafood--not super crab-heavy, but enough to get a few nice bites--and the sauce itself was light and well-balanced. My husband ordered the chicken parm, which he said was good but leaned a bit on the bland side. Overall, it feels like a solid neighborhood Italian spot. Definitely a place we'd come back to when we're in the area.

However, yesterday on 6/28 when the wait was too long so I decided to choose takeout, it was the worst service I've ever experienced. I walked inside, placed the takeout order, and was told it would be ready in about 15 minutes. I went outside to the bench to wait to realize the server didn't take my name for the order. After about 20 minutes had passed, I walked back inside to look for someone. I saw another server walk over when I was lost and waiting and she ended up helping another group who walked in after me, so I was ignored. Then I initiated the conversation and asked about my order and she said "Oh please wait outside and we will come out to give you your order when it's ready." I glanced over and noticed someone bagging takeout orders, so I walked back outside. Another 25 minutes passed and no one has come out to deliver my takeout order. It was about 45 minutes since I placed the order and I was not happy. I walked back inside and asked the server behind the counter. Mind you this is the 3rd server. They asked what I ordered (since my name was not taken down when the order was placed, it made it unorganized) and one of the two takeout bags that was sitting on the counter for a good 20 minutes I noticed it was my order. When I got home, the burger buns were all soggy and the fries were soft and not crispy anymore. This is such an unfortunate situation because I've always shared positive comments about The Cottage, but with the experience I had yesterday, I will be rethinking to come back.
