Cozy cute little cafe! Ordered the croissant sandwich, potato latke, and turtle crossing latte!

We LOVED going here for brunch. The menu is unique with a mix of breakfast classics. There were several things on the menu we were excited to try. The smoothie was the perfect consistency with no chunks! Very refreshing but also filling. The French toast was great if you like bread pudding! I am not typically a French toast lover but this was great. The chicken and waffles and burrito the others at the table also enjoyed. We love the cute atmosphere and the service was good! The only feedback I have is that it would be much better if the tea was fresh brewed. It tasted like it was from a machine which I really don't like for a little local breakfast/lunch spot.

We had a bigger party come in on a Saturday and had to wait awhile for a table, but the staff was super nice and kept us updated and it was well worth the wait! I loved the Terminal and Charlie's so I was looking forward to this. Super cute and eclecticly decorated spot right downtown Terre haute - felt like a fun college town breakfast. It's not in a stand alone building so you definitely need to look for the sign. The coffee and basic pastries counter is right when you walk in and I didn't try any but it did look good. We tried the potato latkes, avocado toast, and hangover breakfast sandwich. The potato cakes were like smashed hash browns - they were nice to share with the table and everyone enjoyed. The avocado toast came out looking like enough to feed 2 people - GIGANTIC. I loved the side salad that came with it and the arugula on top. Overall it was solid, plain avocado packed toast and I'd order it again! My only suggestion is to back off on the pickled red onions. I swear they may have given me the whole jar! The Hangover sandwich I had high hopes for, but the bagel needs to be toasted or different bread should be used. Everything inside it was delicious - the untoasted bread just didn't make any sense. Service was great and I'll be back! They had a huge menu and something for everyone.

The Ladybird Cafe in Terre Haute is FANTASTIC!! The menu has a wide variety of options so you're sure to find something for everyone. The restaurant is very clean and well decorated, it has a very cozy and comfortable feel to it. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and had great options for us to try! The OG Bloody Mary was very well made , I got mine spicy for a nice kick!! Stop in for a great meal and an excellent experience!

Ladybird is a fabulous restaurant. The staff were friendly, the food is amazing and the ambiance is charming. Highly recommend this and will be returning. We had the Blue Collar with Tots added, Reuben Hash, Almond Milk Latte and a Dragonfruit Matcha Latte.

Great food and ambiance! The Hulman historical info in the entry was very interesting! Nice displays!

We enjoyed lunch at Ladybird today. Given that we were at the Terminal Friday, you can go ahead and assume we are fans of the O'Laughlin family restaurants. Today we enjoyed a bit of everything and look forward to coming back for more. I started with a chai latte which was sweet, spicy, and frothy. We ordered potato latkes for a starter and to be honest the potatoes needed to be cooked just a bit longer, the flavor and plating were great, but the potatoes were a bit on the underdone side. The sriracha sauce on the table perked them up nicely. For meals we had the general tsos salad and sweet potato chorizo hash. The salad was good and the general tsos chicken even better. If they offered that sauce on wings or tenders, I'd probably order it! The potato hash was a big portion and easy to share. We enjoyed everything and plan to return to try other menu items, especially their cocktails, soon! This is an absolutely beautiful space to hang out and I hope they stick around.

Had the The Brunch Tweety, it was amazing! Much better than the conference breakfast I was about to get subjected to. Service was friendly and efficient as well!

We love lady bird! The vibes in here are great. We came for a girls brunch and we could talk here all day long. Here's what we ordered: Biscuit and bread basket- Awesome. Perfectly crispy and fluffy on the inside. Butter and jam were great as well. Breakfast burrito- Crispy on the outside and good flavor. The chorizo kind of took over so I couldn't quite taste all the other ingredients in the burrito, so you must like chorizo to like this burrito. Ricotta eggs- Very large portion. Eggs were very fluffy and the chili oil added a nice kick. Arugula was a little unnecessary. Avocado toast- Amazing. We try not to order this at restaurants because you can make it at home most of the time but this time it was totally worth it. The pickled onions and cheese added the perfect touch. French toast- Very sweet but delicious. I love bread pudding so this was a winner for me. Blue collar- Scrambled eggs, bacon, white toast. Basic but can't go wrong. Potato latke- Best thing I had. Basically a super elevated hash brown. Overall great experience. Could have tried everything on the menu so can't wait to come back.

The building is absolutely stunning. From the mural along the side with some Indiana favorites to the very tasteful woodwork inside. All four of us thought our food was really good. How often does that happen? The newest menu item was the Salisbury steak. Might be the best I've ever had. There is a little kick to it. Nothing that little water doesn't take care of. haha when I mentioned the cake to the waitress, she said it's probably the goat cheese and the mashed potatoes. I never knew a goat cheese being spiced. But, hey, I really enjoyed it! If I lived in this area, I would frequent it a lot.

I expected it to taste just like candy but it was surprisingly light. For dinner I ordered the chicken parmesan . It came with large pieces of breaded chicken. It also had a very large portion of spaghetti. Everything was cooked well and the marinara sauce had wonderful flavor. I am always impressed by the large portions. I also think the prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. This is definitely my favorite restaurant to visit when I am in Terre Haute.

Well Dang! When you are here you certainly do NOT think you are in Terre Haute anymore!…read more Came here after a work event really just to check it out. When I walked in I asked where it was and the security staff told me to go to the 10th floor. You have to walk through the hotel part and go up. Once you get off I promise you, you feel that you are no longer in Terre Haute. I honestly felt like I was in Charlotte, NC. The view is insane looking at the greenery of what makes Indiana so pretty in the summer time (I can't wait to go back during fall to take in the view then too). The music was a total vibe. It was R&B, Chill POP (is that a thing, don't know how else to describe). There is an outdoor patio area where there was a guy playing live music and people sitting on couches relaxing and watching while enjoying a cocktail. I sat at the bar because I was by myself and certainly didn't want to take up an entire couch and leave that for others that may have larger parties. As soon as I sat down my server came to take my order. While I wasn't really planning to eat, once I looked at the menu the Chicken Nachos were calling my name. Even though I am counting calories, I had to order. Man, when they came out they were huge and so so good. You can order the chicken blackened which I did and man it was great. I just sat and enjoyed my very caloric nachos and a cocktail and just really took it in. I don't live in Terre Haute, I live in Indianapolis, but I spend a ton of time in Terre Haute for work. At that moment, I felt proud. I felt proud of Terre Haute for making the investment and proud that they are attempting to change the city by offering things like this. I host client events for work and I am thinking of ways to host something fun here, so I will be back!

It's dated in the best possible way: dim lighting, worn-in character, familiar faces, and that unmistakable local hangout atmosphere where regulars clearly outnumber first-timers. The highlight here is the Tweety Burger, and honestly, that's the reason to come. It reminded me immediately of the classic Midwest style you'd find at places like Minor-Dunn in Highland, Indiana. The patty is smashed thin and cooked flat on the grill, giving it those crispy edges and deep, savory flavor you only get from a well-seasoned griddle that's seen years of use. It tastes homemade--not engineered, not trendy, just a straightforward burger done right. You can tell they take their time with the food. Nothing feels rushed or mass-produced. The burger comes out hot, flavorful, and satisfying without trying to be gourmet or overcomplicated. No towering Instagram presentation--just a solid, honest burger that delivers exactly what you want from a local pub. Service matched the vibe perfectly. The staff were personable, welcoming, and genuinely friendly in that small-town way that makes you feel less like a customer and more like a guest stopping by a neighborhood spot. Charlie's isn't flashy. It's not modern. And if you're looking for upscale dining or trendy décor, this isn't the place. But if you want an authentic mom-and-pop tavern experience with a burger that locals clearly treat as a tradition, it's worth the stop. Best advice: stick with the Tweety Burger. Don't overthink the menu. Order it, enjoy the atmosphere, and experience a piece of local Terre Haute character. Not a destination restaurant--but absolutely a solid local classic you should try at least once.
