    Fun little local beach home decor store in downtown Dunedin. This is like a beach cottage decorators palace. They have lots of of wall decor, decorative furniture, throw pillows, rugs, lamps, etc. There is also an area of pet stuff and an area for women's clothes and kids clothes. There is a lot to see. You will find something you like since there's that much. You can also check this place out for a nice present. There are lots of fun ideas as well.

    Friendly people. Great merchandise. They even allowed me to bring the items home to see if they fit my decor.

    I happened upon this page of Upscale Resale when I was cleaning out my old files and found the…read more"insufficent funds" check they wrote me from 2014. I was so mad I ripped it up back then. Surprise, surprise when what do I see on their reviews? Continued bad behavior of Janice Williams and Linda Harris for their failure to pay other people who have consigned their items at Upscale Resale! CONSIGNER BEWARE! READ OTHER REVIEWS. THEY WILL NOT PAY YOU FOR YOUR ITEMS. These women took my items, and my girlfriend's, damaged them, not returning some upon ending our consignment and then didn't want to pay. We had to fight tooth and nail to finally get payment and upon trying to cash their check it came back as "insufficent funds," and I had to go after them for payment again. If you read all the reviews on Yelp, Google, etc., to this day, 5 years later, they continue to not pay their consigners, damage their items, etc., so this is why I did post this review at this point. It just had to be said. Facts are facts with reviews and nobody, not even Janice trying to deny it, can change the fact that all the consigners' reviews state that she keeps your money. Unfair business practices completely. Additionally, I asked if I should deliver my things but as they hadn't even opened their doors yet, and they were moving things around for setting the store up, they said they would arrange the pickup for my items and take care of it themselves. More for their convenience than mine. When I went to pick up my items (missing items, damaged items) they had nothing but excuses, said they'd send a check. When I got the NSF check I saw they then decided to charge me for picking up my items, which I never agreed to. These women are nothing but manipulators and will say anything to gain your trust by lying through their teeth. They may have our nice items that people are buying and liking in reviews (which is the only positive reviews you'll see), but the owners of those items still continue to be unpaid. I'm so glad I kept this insufficient check from them in 2014 in a file to provide as a warning to others that it's still happening. Continued bad behavior to these women who own Upscale Resale! There's nothing upscale about not paying us for OUR merchandise they're selling to their customers!

One half star was removed due to merchandise not being marked w/ price or description; each time you consider an item for purchase, you must find one of the two friendly proprietors to inquire about the maker, item specifics, & cost. My companion commented that he would likely have purchased more items had they been marked. On the upside side (& ALL other aspects of this business reside in the POSITIVE column), the combined 4,000 square foot warehouse is full of EXCELLENT CONDITION mid-century furnishings! Refinishing is executed in a 14,000 sq foot Clearwater warehouse. Furniture pieces have been restored by one of two independent refinishers whose craftsmanship is admirable. However, don't come here looking for bold patterned prints from yesteryear; rather, you'll find period-specific solid colors of blues, greens, yellows, corals, reds, orange, & all the other colors of the 1950's thru the 1970's. (SEE THE DEC 11, 2021 SHOWROOM PICS.) Patrons will spot pieces signed by the greats of the time period; a large selection of Danish Modern teak furniture (which is normally much higher priced than American-made); beautifully stylish unmarked pieces; & a mixture of furnishings ranging from lower end to very expensive. PRICES WERE MUCH MORE REASONABLE than we anticipated upon entering the gorgeous front showroom. (Prior to exiting this business, don't forget to visit the second showroom whose entrance is on the side of the building. Look for the blue & white VW Bug-- unfortunately not for sale:) Accepted is cash; debit; credit; check; Venmo; & possibly other forms of payment. Shipping locally & nationwide is available. For over 6.5 years, business partners Dave & Conrad have joined forces to combine their two companies-- Modern Merchant Florida (owned by Dave) & Conrad's Rad Harbor Vintage. Their shared love of picking (that dates back to childhood) helped merge their two companies into this worthy mid-century venture. When the showroom is not open, they can be found traveling the country to locate quality Mid-Century Modern & Danish Modern Teak furniture & home decor. I found this EXCELLENT VINTAGE BUSINESS only due to the weekly posts streaming thru my Facebook feed, & I'm SO HAPPY I did! These two very personable guys couldn't have been more friendly, helpful, & appreciative as we browsed the GORGEOUS mid-century rooms. If I had more available space in my home, I'd make a monthly drive from Tampa to scout what they found during their weekly travels across the country. If you are a lover of mid-century furniture & decor, THIS SHOULD BE YOUR FIRST STOP. Yup, it's really a QUALITY BUSINESS VENTURE brought to you by two guys who aren't into high pressure sales. The sales representative was very helpful answered a few of my questions. They have so much to choose from. All kinds of designs and era's. From retro to modern to futuristic.     There is no way this place gets 5 stars!…read more Went in today to get my Busch Gardens ticket and the Barbara Cantera (I'm sure I spelled that last name wrong) was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO rude. Oh my goodness I have NEVER EVER seen someone so rude representing a company like Kanes. When we walked over the counter she was on the phone with a customer. You can hear how rude she was being with the customer on the phone and I knew right off the bat we were going have issues with this lady. We stood there and waited for her to get off the phone and another employee had walked over behind the counter and I proceed to ask her a question since Barbara was on the phone (still being rude to the customer). I started to ask the other lady if this is where we pick up the tickets and Barbara in the middle of her phone call she interrupts me to tell me she's the person that I need to be talking to all while she was still on the phone with a customer she was rude to. I could hear the customer through the phone getting frustrated with her and they just hung up on her. Barbara then hung up the phone and asked me for my reservation code and I handed her the printed paper and she wouldn't take it and told me I needed to read that code to her. If my 10 year old nephew wasn't there Barbara would have heard colorful words from my mouth but he was there so I couldn't. She pulls up our record gave us the ticket and my sister said thank you to her twice! I didn't say thank you because she was so damn rude. I wanted to say something else. We walked away after my sister said thank you to her. We had already taken a few steps away from the counter and with a nasty snarky condescending tone she pipes up "YOU'RE WELCOME!" I came running back so fast and told her "she said thank you to you twice! no ma'am you will not be treating us like this it's apparent you don't have any customer service skills and its probably time for you to hang it up." She started running her mouth and I lost it and finally said "how do they have you working up there dealing with customers with a nasty ass attitude like that?" So needless to say I probably won't EVER get any furniture from Kanes because wow just wow!
