We have a family member that has been at this Cogir for years. We have seen services continue to…read moredecline here. We have gone to meals over the years with our family member and the service in the dining room has gotten worse and worse and the food quality and choices are sub-par. It often takes the dining staff 45 minutes or more to serve the food when residents are waiting and there are only two meal choices. We have experience food being under cooked, and vegetables being so old they should not be served. Our family member often has had stomach issues and diarrhea that we think is at least partially caused by the food served. COVID was terrible with residents being forced to be isolated in their rooms for months. They are short staffed in all areas. Not just the dining room. The monthly charges have gone up and up. Maintenance is lacking in the units, including changing light bulbs, loose towel racks, etc. We have had to fix things because of this. They really do not offer a lot of assistance for ADL's even with extra fees. We will probably be moving our loved one soon.

Subsequently, we found our she had fairly advanced terminal cancer. The level of care and kindness shown by the entire staff (thanks, Kelly, Nedra, Michael) really touched our hearts. It's not the fanciest place I've seen, but the kindness, love and level of care mean that your loved one will be well taken care of. Our mom ended up in hospice, and eventually passed away in January, 2020. Throughout her suffering and our grief, the staff was kind, supportive and always helpful. They took most excellent care of her, both physically and emotionally. Thanks to all of you.

Juli was referred to us, and I admit to being skeptical that we would get personalized and successful attention. How wrong was I?! She and her husband Frank (it was the combination that won Dad over in the end) were 100% available and prompt and their experience and contacts ended up with Mom in an excellent and beautiful home in Edmonds. They both have a very kind, strong (we needed that!) and personable way, which they bring to all of the encounters we witnessed.
