It's cheaper and better but I was expecting real tasty pizza that wasn't like the mass produced type pizza but this was not even on that level. Excellent customer service. Very friendly! I honestly didn't know what to expect of the pizza but loved it. We ordered a couple slices of pepperoni - delicious! Super cheesy, the crust was crisp on the bottom (not a fan of soggy crust), and quality tomato sauce. Definitely try it out! Great for lunch! read more

My family and I ate here on our way home from Smith Mountain Lake. Overall, the food was very tasty! I recommend taking out though, it's not super nice inside. However, we did not get pizza. We had sandwiches, calzones, and a Stromboli. The sandwiches were delicious, with great bread and ingredients. The Stromboli and calzones were also great. Everything was really fresh and piping hot when it came out. I strongly recommend the veggie Stromboli, it's loaded with vegetables and very good. Good sauce too! read more

First time at Lago's - found out it was a family owned restaurant- our waitress told us briefly about the history which made it even nicer to eat at the pizzaria My stromboli was delicious, the marinara fresh, homemade & fantastic and my wife's personal pizza was the best she's ever had! I really enjoyed this pizza! The sauce was slightly sweet, which I found odd but pleasing at the same time. The cheese was very flavorful and tasty. The only thing I would say needs improvement is the crust. The texture is good but it has no flavor at all- it could use a pinch of salt. Oh- and it was not overpriced like Downtown Pizza down the street ($30 for a large supreme pizza!) Overall, I recommend it! read more

Favorite pizza place in sml! We usually order to go so I can't rate the dining in experience. Sauce is really good, pizza is the perfect thickness. Pizza, subs, and salads are the best in the area, absolutely love them! My only gripe is their hours. They never seem to be open, or at least follow what's on Yelp or their front door. For example last week I wanted to get a pizza for the final game of the world series. Yelp said they were open until 9:00, and the lighted sign in front of the store said they were open until 8:00. I arrived at 6:30 and they were closed. This happens more often than not. They need to update their hours. read more
