Jason bathed and groomed all 3 of our Himalayans recently...and we were so impressed with his work and the way he handled our balls of fur (seriously...balls of fur). I highly recommend Jason for cats obviously, but he handles more dogs. The location is in the middle of Laguna Village, with a great coffee shop downstairs. We simply sat outside for 2 hours enjoying the day while our guys were made beautiful. read more

I wish I could do zero because I am not happy with the lack of concern. This is the second time my fur baby has come back injured. The first time was the nails. The second time now is he was cut under near his back leg. Jason the owner needs to hire more people so that Jose can continue to trim The dogs. What the issue is Jason the owner is only hiring 1 person to answer the phones , trim and wash the dogs. So when they get a wiggly dog Jose is left by himself to answer the phones and trim the dog. This is not safe! ;( I have heard another customer call in asking why his dog is limping and I bet the dog fell off. I will only bring my dog back if Jason hires someone to answer the phones , help with grooming and then have another employee there for those dogs that need some extra TLC- my dog is a rescue and was abused so he is scared of the noise and needs that extra person to hold while the other employee can trim him. I notified Jason and he has not responded. I have been going to him for over a year and I am not happy with my dog being injured twice. I would be careful and if you want to see for yourself you can stay and watch and see for yourself. Please hire more people for the dogs safety. Changing previous review. Cuts are ok but the pricing at $140 for a dog cut has gotten absurd. We have a 45 pound golden doodle. Not a difficult cut and we are never fussy. We take him however they do him. But the owner baits and switches the pricing and gives you a lot of attitude for questioning it! When reminding him you were quoted $85 on the phone before you came in, he turns his back on you, literally. He doesn't even stop chatting on a private phone call on his ear buds. It's just rude. The final kicker was our credit card got charged $145 (NOT the outrageous $140). When we asked about the discrepancy, he just lied and said it's "tax". Wrong. There is no tax on services in California! So, enough of these games EVERY TIME for this loyal and reliable customer. We are done. Not my kind of friendly local business. read more

Once I saw that he had been cut, I went back to show the owner and he had said it was because my dog was "too wiggly." I was telling someone about the butchery of our Aussie at laguna Groomers in February. They said they too had a bad experience. So I went back to check out my review....it seems to have been taken down. I'll renew here: My request was to trim my Aussie's skirts. They shaved him, in some places down to pink skin. When I picked him up and said the cut was totally NOT what I asked for, the owner said "we'll do better next time." My dog was not matted. And if he was, they should have called and asked what to do. Instead, I got a surprisingly bad shock. read more

First time customer trying a new place for us close to home. I asked that the groomer not shave her face just brows and give her a common teddy bear cut. He butchered her and shaved her entire snout making her look like a poodle. A terrible cut that will take months to grow out. He also quoted me a lower price. read more

Laguna Groomers is beyond AMAZING! Exceeded my expectations! I leave my Australian shepherd's coat natural, I don't trim his body ever. He only gets walk-in services: ear, butt, nails, and paw trims. Petsmart didn't have "time" for this as you have to make an appointment. Laguna Groomers is welcome to walk ins and my dog was done in 30minutes! The people here are friendly and I'm a local, so I'm happy to have found this gem! They were understanding and took pride in their good work. My dog being skittish/scared didn't phase them.
