Their customer service is also second-to-none and I appreciate not only their flexibility on returns and exchanges, but also their dividend program that gives back when you shop there. Would give 6 stars if I could…read more I came in to replace my old runners, Saucony Triumphs, in size 14 but they were out. Which was no surprise at all, size 14s are hard to find on store shelves, but it was a surprise when they couldn't order Triumphs at all. I really wanted the same shoe again so Jesse the store manager went the extra mile and got in touch with the supplier only to find out that their was an issue in the manufacturing of that particular shoe for the time being. So, he found me two other pairs, a Brooks with similar off-set, and another pair of Sauconys with less off-set and more 'spring' to them. He ordered one pair and transferred (from the downtown location) the other, both in size 14. They arrived a few days later, I get the call and come in. Upon trying them on we quickly realize I need to be running in size 15's. So he orders the same two pairs for me this time one size up. The Brooks arrived first. I got a call, came in and met Jed (I think that's his name) I tried them on around the store, felt good. The Toebox felt a bit big though. Jed explained how that extra 'freedom' up front (my words) could lead to some horizontal movement and therefor friction on the bottom of my foot and the shoe. I was eager to run though. He said go, take 'em for a spin, you can bring 'em back muddy, whatever, just try 'em out. So I did. That night went for a quick 4 miler, they felt good, but he was right, too much play up front. The next day the other Sauconys came in in size 15. Try'd them on, felt awesome. They let me return the lightly used Brooks, and I'm super satisfied with these. I didn't even realize they had a store until we were at a Thorns game and walked past it! Needless to say, I have quite a wardrobe from there. I was originally obsessed with the P hats because they were plain, yet epic and cool. Classic. But most weren't VEGAN!! I can't do wool, never have been able to because I ITCH!!! But then they have brought so many great hats that are NOT wool and so gorgeous and well, I look GOOD in hats. Beanies and baseball hats. Bring it. I have SO many Portland Gear hats. I think I've got 4 beanies and 7 or 8 baseball hats. I have one zip UP hoodie, three over the head hoodies lol and two tshirts. And I DO have the cream colored backpack for my work stuff. I LOVE this bag. I had gotten it for my daughter back in June 2024 as a birthday gift because she needed a sturdy backpack for middle school where she has NO locker lol The other thing I'm totally obsessed with is their Portland Stag and Portland Sign..I have both and man they're gorgeous. I had issues with the plug/remote with both and went into the store and it was taken care of in minutes at no cost to me!! Customer Service, selection and value are all tops. Received an invoice and an email from Oregon City Sporting Goods confirming my order. May 6th, I send an email to kurtb@ocsports.us as listed on the email in case I had any questions. I requested an update. No reply. May 9th, I call the business asking for an update on my order, and whoever it was I talked to didn't ask for an order number or anything. They just said that they just got a bunch of the orders in, and I would be receiving an email update within a couple days. Nothing. Today, May 27th, I once again called asking for an update. Told whoever I spoke to that the order was placed through Tualatin JBO. They told me all those orders were already delivered. Told them I placed this order on April 19th, and I could give them the order number if it would help. Their exact reply was, "Well the order number isn't gonna do me any good." They got a little flustered, then asked for my name and number and would get back to me later in the day. I called about 3pm. It's almost 930pm and no call back. Update 5/28 - Received word from someone from Tualatin JBO. The orders were received a week ago and will be distributed amongst the teams/families. On a bike tour, I found Universal and brought my squealing brakes to Billy. Not only were the brake pads wrong, the brakes should have been replaced because the wheels are wider. As Billy investigated further, he found the mechanic had also snapped the front brake cable fixing bolt. Had this not been found I could have experienced a catastrophic brake failure. Universal had the brakes I needed in stock, Billy sent me to lunch and replaced the brakes and pads within the hour so that I could continue the tour safely and with the correct brake system.
