Highly recommend - above 5 stars TL;DR: Everything was back in its place, washed, properly torqued, greased; it felt like I had a brand new bike again :'~] Full Context I brought my Surly Disc Trucker in to have an overhaul done and I cannot recommend this place more! I have a lot of custom parts and bells and whistles on this bike and they took it all apart, gave it some much needed love, attention and grease! They made the bike look newer than when I bought it! It is in tip top shape and my gears work perfectly. They paid so much attention to detail here, remembering every finite thing about how the bike was assembled. The greased my huns(which are so much quieter now, they fixed and aligned my front derailleur (which I could not for the life of my figure out how to adjust right on my own. And BEST OF ALL, they fixed my brakes without having to buy me new parts (which I thought for sure would have been a part of my bill). This was honest, thorough and consistent service that was delivered to me ahead of schedule - I cannot recommend this place enough. ****warning do not bring in high end bikes** Brought my bike in for a brake bleed and to fix a tubeless tire (Bike was rideable when it came in but wanted to fix it before trip). Bike is returned unridable, pins not put in place, and lever flopping around. Took it to a real bike shop (Santiam) and they couldn't undo the damage. Love the story you make up to try and justify your shoddy work. A.) the other shop fixed the bike. They just couldn't fix your pour workmanship. B.) you tried to pass off the bike as completed that was broken and unridable when it wasn't brought to your shop that way. I'm sure this is a lovely shop for the $150-$300 bike. It's just not where I would recommend taking an expensive bike that needs an expert. read more

I recently moved to the area, the service here is absolutely top notch. These are very skilled bike mechanics at a reasonable rate for the area. I had a tune up done on my bike and needed a bike lock. All three people working there were extremely kind and helpful getting me what I needed for my bike. Martin took the time to walk through the service performed and how to maintain my bike until I bring it back to them for routine service. He also took the time to show me the mounting and dismounting of my lock (a little tricky to a new user) and made sure the mount was positioned so it wouldn't bother me while riding, even adjusting it before I left the shop. 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone needing anything related to bike repair or service. I came into the shop about 2 days ago looking for a lock washer for my bike coupling for a instep trailer. It was a long shot I know, but they didn't have the part on hand. He did give me a lock washer (for free) that worked just as well and told that it should work because I have a bolt lock on my rear tire. I really appreciated the time he took from his work to help me find a lock washer on his work bench. Even though my interaction with him was very quick, he gave me his full attention and made sure that any questions or reassurance I needed was answered. This is my first visit to any bike shop in the area and I will definitely go back there for any biking needs I may/will have in the future. This is easily the best bike maintenance shop I have ever worked with. I have been an avid cyclist for 20 years and I am happy to trust Martin and his crew with any and all of my bike needs. They have handled everything from minor adjustments to full rebuilding and basic bikes to high-end carbon frames with wireless shifting with equal expertise. This place is pretty great. The person who owns the place seems genuinely happy to service the local area. I brought him a couple of bikes my children had outgrown to service prior to selling on craigslist. The original cost was $60 to replace some parts and make sure everything was in working order. The total bill came to $90, but only because they needed more reconditioning and a couple cables replaced. I have confidence in him and his shop so I gladly paid the $90 to have two bikes in perfect condition before selling them to small children. I plan on using them more often in the future. read more
