Really good Huckleberry cider! Pizza is fabulous, pulled pork is delicious. Eat peanuts and throw your shells on the floor. Nice owners too

This is probably one of my favorite breweries that Steve and I went to on our recent trip to the Walla Walla area. This brewery is actually in Waitsburg and not Walla Walla but it isn't a very long drive to get there. And the drive was worth it to us! The brewers are very creative with their beer recipes making some very unique and great tasting beer! I got the Ryepper beer which is a rye and pepper beer which was a real joy to drink. Yes, the beer is hot but not as hot as some pepper beers that I have come across in the past. I'm okay with this one being a bit milder in heat because it made it easier to enjoy and didn't cause a great deal of discomfort. You can also snack on peanuts while you here. They are in the shell and what makes it fun is you are encouraged (by the staff or owner) to throw the peanut shells on the floor. I've only come across one other brewery in my craft beer expeditions that encouraged this and it was fun then and it was fun in the present. Lol! The staff here is enjoyable and they have great personalities which makes this brewery a must stop whenever I'm back in the area again. read more

I loved this little Scottish Irish bar! The gal behind the counter was awesome and letting us taste between 2 choices of beers that are crafted in house. Discovered this brewery while making fly fishing trips on the Touchet and Tucannon rivers. During the summer heat this place was a godsend. The staff was really cool and nice and offered tasters of any of the beer we were interested in. My personal favorite was their straight Hefe. I tried a few of their other beers and they were good, too. In addition to glasses, you can also buy a "pig", or a "jar" if you want to take some brew home or on the river with you. I opted for a jar. Made a few trips to this brewery over the summer. The place was packed during Sturgis weekend, when bikers made pit stops. Oh, you can also order some of their brews at the nearby Whoop Em Up Hollow Cafe as well. read more

The beer was So GOOD. There is a large selection of brews and even with tasting, it was hard to choose - there were so many good beers. It's a local vibe and there is an outdoor area. Peanuts are a deal at $1.50; especially since the shells can be tossed on the floor. If you are traveling through Waitsburg, you won't be disappointed to spend some time at Laht Neppur! read more

The great beer, food, and casual atmosphere make the 20 minute drive from Walla Walla seem like nothing.

Johnsonville Brawts aren't something to brag about and saying you can serve them because there isn't another place to eat within 15 minutes is ridiculous. Heating everything up in the microwave.... also very gross. My boyfriends sandwich was very cold (even though microwaved) and I was scared to eat the wings. Their beer is just okay. I didn't feel very good after eating there :( If you're a beer person, do yourself a favor and make the drive 20 more miles to get what you pay for. I'm so sad to see this place go down hill as it used to be really good! Also the woman(owner) behind the bar isn't very friendly. They should really hire someone who wants to be there; someone with customer service! read more

Change of heart on this place. The beer is decent, although I have had bad ones too. Meanwhile, one of the part owners behind the bar is in simplest terms, a jerk. The pizza is just as low grade as they can make it and still sell it. The part owner's comment was "they could serve anything they want, since they have no competition". With that single comment, she lost me completely. Personally, I would think a restaurant or bar would want to bring the best possible food, regardless of location. I have been to this place approximately 6 times. I will never return. Best of luck! I love options. read more

Solid beer in an out of the way place! Owners were super sweet. Huge beer selection all made here at the brewery. The Coppei Copper is an Amber ale with a slight red tint a even slighter sour notes. I liked it but it was a hot day so I went with the Blonde, my BF choose the brown. It was a lovely warm day in Waitsburg as we enjoyed our beers on the patio area. If you're wine tasting in Walla Walla and need a break, this is a great stop. read more

Wide selection of brews from a brew master who has honed his craft over 25 years. I would highly recommend the kölsch and oatmeal porter but would shy away from the hefeweisen. The pizza was good as well and the service was excellent. read more

I drive by this brewery every time I visit family in Dayton. Finally got a chance to stop & very glad I did! Picked up a couple bottles of Back Seat Blonde for my brother & his father in law. They often mock my beer choices, but enjoyed this. Sister-in-law liked the Strawberry I don't generally like fruit beers, but this was full and tasty, not too sweet. My mason jar of 10x IPA was potent in flavor and alcohol content. Unpretentious, accessible, friendly. I'll be back next time I'm on HWY 12. read more

Unfortunately I was not able to sit and have a beer, but I sampled a few and bought a quart mason jar of stout to go. It was a bit on the flat side by the time it got home, but it was good. The owner like many brewers in the state, is very familiar with many of the other breweries and brewers in the region. He knows something about all of all the breweries in the area, and many on the west side. Laht Neppur is also a winery, and makes their own port, although its not legally allowed to be called port. read more

Each year on our way to Starbuck for the Jackson family reunion my wife and I stop in Waitsburg to walk around a bit. I was a first grader back in 55. Moved away the next year. We always stop for a beer, or two, or three. Great beers and warm and friendly people. Will be stopping in again this summer. read more

My experiences at both this location and the one in Walla Walla have consistently been awesome. DELICIOUS beer AND pizza, not to mention very friendly and accommodating staff. I love Laht Neppur! This place is horrible!! The people are nice, but their friendliness does not compensate for their horrible beer and pizza. Seriously, apps out of the box from costco and their beer tastes like fizzy colored water. If you are a brewer, they will boost your ego based off their lousy beer. Their pizza is so bland. The sauce must be from white label cans that say pizza sauce, Jalapeno poppers were obviously TGIF frozen ones.....I walked away from a beer for the first time in my life.....that's how bad their beer was...would of liked a PBR better, maybe they should put that on tap read more

Discovered this hole in the wall brewery in between Lewiston, Idaho and Portland. I had passed it several times on fishing and hunting trips, but it was always closed - until one fateful Sunday evening, where football was playing, chili dogs were the special and the beer was cold. I would give this place 5 stars for character (since it's a brewery in Waitsburg!), 4 for friendliness but the beer was just okay. I tried a wide variety, but their flavors were all very floral as I recall (it may have been another taste, but it was evident in every type of beer, could've been their choice of a particular type of hops?)... Anyway, I was hoping for some crisp, sharp hops or dark esb or stout, and kept tasting flowers. I think if I discover a beer I like on the next visit, this place might jump up a star or two... read more

What a refreshing break from all the wine I've been enjoying in Walla Walla. Waitsburg is an easy twenty minute commute north of WW on I-12. Quaint little town with an ex-Seattle-ite owned restaurant and a couple great neighborhood bars. This brewery is worth visiting if you're in the area. Fresh peanuts and yes, you can throw the shells on the floor. They're proud of the beer, as they should be, and will gladly pour you a generous sampler for $8. What a deal! The food was mostly snack/freezer/microwave quality, although it looked like the sandwiches were probably homemade tasting. I seem to recall pork sandwiches that I'm sure these guys do a good job with. I just drank the beer and ate the peanuts and soaked up the locals. read more

Went in for dinner right at 7 on a Saturday night. The internet says open until 9 on Saturdays. As soon as we sit down, the waitress behind the counter let's us know, very rudely, they stop cooking at 7:30. We were looking at the menu and trying to hurry, but also waiting for another couple to meet up with us. They show up at about 7:15. And as soon as they sit down. The waitress come up to the table and tells us we have to order now or not at all. As she is telling us this. The cook walks out the front door saying "I'm done. I'm not waiting for anyone." WHAT!! I couldn't believe something like that would even happen at a place of business. We almost left then, but she said she'd put the pizza on for us. The rest of the time, everyone working was rude. Bad service too, we had to walk up to the counter to ask for condiments, water, and napkins. I've never been to a restaurant where the servers don't check in on you. It was just crazy to me. Especially for a restaurant with only 3 tables. So while eating dinner, I looked up this place on yelp. AND OH MY GOODNESS!! THEY'RE EVEN RUDE WHEN THEY REPLY TO PEOPLE WHO LEAVE THEM BAD REVEIWS. How they're still in business I don't know. As for this review. I can't wait to see how they reply. We won't be going back to say the least. read more

We were en route from Palouse Falls down to Walla Walla during our Memorial Day weekend, and the Laht Neppur brewery popped up at just the right time. I had driven past it several times in the last couple of years, but never had a chance to stop. We (myself, wife, 2 small kids) had a nice lunch, and a little break in our travels. The beers were great (we had the Crop Duster IPA and the Strawberries and Cream lager), and some pulled pork sandwiches for lunch. Our kids split a small but nicely made pizza, and there were even coloring books and crayons to keep them entertained. (Shut your hole, these things matter when you have kids. And just because you have kids doesn't mean you're not allowed to go to cool places!) The food isn't going to win them awards, but it's a cheap decent lunch while you try their various beers. Simple. Anyway, very nice people working there today, and we had a nice lunch with nice beverages. read more

The pizza is really good but there is a variety of pizzas and sandwitches i heard there pulled pork is really good also.the beer is good good service and nice friendly people. My boyfriend and family go down there a lot to grab a beer and pizza. If going through the area of waitsburg this is a stop you need to make. Great beer, fun staff, lots of travelers and some regulars. I popped in here a couple times last weekend to hydrate and beat the heat. A fun, casual place. Beer labels arranged on the bar and peanut shells on the floor. Beer impressions are as follows: the summer seasonal is pleasantly spicy while still being refreshing, and is a little strong. The brown ale is one of the best I have tasted in some time, with good malt and a little hoppy bite. The Imperial IPA is very hearty and rich. It's more malt-forward than typical NW IPA's, and has nice balance on the palette. Also nice and strong. I recommend a visit for a good pint or two. read more
