This place has been on my must stop list since first trying it a couple years ago. The staff are always friendly and helpful, with drink refills happening unnoticed. On today's visit I tried the Popping Turkey Sandwich, requested with going light on the jalapeños. It was made as requested and was outstanding. The waffle fries and house made fry sauce were also spot on. The waitress did say that ownership would be changing hands in the next few days and the menu is expected to change. I hope they keep up the fresh ingredient standard and overall feel of the place. They'd do well to keep the same front of the house staff too, as they are all friendly, easy going, keep the place looking sharp. On the outside, I hope they also keep the motorcycle parking and periodically sweep the small rock that ends up on the concrete. With Whiskey C under new management all bets are as to their success. As a very critical customer I've spent years eating out throughout my trucking career. I live here and frequent the place often now. They are taking all things into consideration and trying to balance out criticism to make things good for all. Every time I've stopped in at whiskey Canyon sports bar near Waitsburg Washington to visit with KENNY he has not been there even though he invites me to come by and say hi thankfully Bailey was there and greeted us seated us provided us with ice water and menus and everything that we ordered was absolutely superb their chili cheeseburger with fresh burger patty homemade chili available daily throughout the year and of course raw onions on top and it's rare to see waffle fries anymore well here at Whiskey Canyon they have your choice french fries waffle fries or tater tots Joe had the BBB Burger and Jordan enjoyed the Maui Burger If you're in or near Waitsburg definitely stop in to Waitsburg Canyon sports bar and ask for KENNY don't worry KENNY won't be there but Bailey will take good care of you pictures below read more

Stopped in here for a quick bite to break up a long drive. Definitely was not made to feel very welcome. It's a small town and was full of locals. Customer service was mediocre at best. I had the Mediterranean bar bread which was pita bread deep fried with a pesto sauce, sun dried tomatoes and spinach topped with feta cheese. It was probably really good but...there was so much olive oil on it that it was dripping everywhere and kind of ruined the taste. My son had the fish and chips. They were overcooked and some were over spiced and others were bland. I'm guessing that they didn't stir the batter well enough to even out the spices. read more

Sciabata chicken sandwich: the bread was cold as if out from the fridge. The chicken was hard, as if cooked 2 days ago, tasting old. Simply uneatable! The cheese was tasteless. Server was very nice, indeed. A handicap helper on a wheelchair did an outstanding job cleaning tables. The place is clean with nice restaurants, sport bar flair. We stopped here for a quick lunch on our way home, and I got the street tacos from the appetizer menu. As you can see in the photo, they are substantial, delicious, and all I needed for a meal. Hubby got the fish and chips (tater tots option) and the beer batter they use for the fish is light, crispy, and excellent. He also got a side salad, and the homemade sundried tomato vinaigrette was very tasty. Good taplist with several local options, and the service was faultless. So we walked in on a Saturday and it wasn't to busy, we ordered the fish and chips and me and me lady split it because she doesn't eat much. I ordered a Jameson shot and a local brewery beer and the female bartender asked if I'd like a sample. ....uh hell yes I want a sample. Then this fine lady brings me a full beer and says this beer is on the house...I'm like is this heaven ? Not real impressed. We made the trip out to Waitsburg just to eat dinner at the Whiskey Canyon. Not sure if our watress was having an off night, or she normally ignores people. It took a while for her to actually take our food order. After we got the food she never checked back in. As for the food... I have to say the prime rib was smoked, so it was wierd but ok. My veggies were way over cooked, I'm petty sure my gravey was store bought like my roll. My date had a chicken sandwich with fries. On a Covid roadtrip, we declared hunger half a block before seeing this little jewel so we stopped, and we're so glad we did. Jennie D was a great server and our meals were very tasty. The Cobb Salad was so fresh, and perfect for a larger appetite. The Taco Salad was yummy and a perfect fit for my smaller appetite. Also one of the better Arnold Palmers I've had. We won't go back. Took an hour and fifteen minutes to get our food after waiting 15 minutes just to place our order. This was a lunch with my family for my birthday. We only live 10 miles from this place and chose it as a close option for the five of us to gather. Waitress never offered drink refills and made excuses for the slow food prep. The other wait staff seemed to be getting theirs out in a fairly timely manner so I have to say "What gives?" We love coming here mostly for the reason that it is by far the best breakfast I've had this close to Dayton. Let it be known, THE SERVICE IS SLOW AS SLOW CAN BE. The waitresses are pretty attentive unless the bar is full, then good luck. I hope I know someone who is working or it takes forever for drinks/refills. The burgers are good but they are cooked very well done. Mention it if you want it a little more tender. Their breakfasts are very delicious and I crave their pancakes every Sunday! I want to preface this by saying that I have only been at this establishment once and not frequently like most of the other reviews I've seen. I don't know what the restaurant has been like before or any of the history behind it. I'll start with the most important aspect: the food. I ordered a Steak Salad with the A1 vinaigrette. I don't actually know what an A1 vinaigrette is, but since it was recommended on the menu I figured I'd try it out. I'm a big salad person; I love all kinds of dressings and veggies together in different combinations, but I didn't love this. The stars of the salad were the steak and the little crunchy onions (I'm assuming they were onions) on top. The dressing did not mesh well with the avocado that seemed a little old and especially not the bleu cheese. I like bleu cheese here and there but I felt sick halfway through the salad after having mouthful after mouthful of it. Several hours later whilst I'm writing this, I'm debating on skipping dinner because I still feel nauseous. The thick chunks of raw mushrooms were oddly what I preferred to eat instead. If you order this salad, I recommend a lighter raspberry vinaigrette instead of whatever the A1 is and certainly asking for less bleu cheese. I had two other people with me today and each of us had a different issue with this restaurant; being more of a tasteful guy, my father disliked the bloody cage fighting that was going down on two of the five TV screens. I myself enjoy watching a gnarly punchout, so I didn't really care, but I can see how some people would be put off from eating after watching that. My mother's not a huge fan of country music and therefore disliked the ambience since there's no variation from it and it's fairly loud. I too dislike country music, but I understand that some restaurants have their own theme going on that won't always suite everyone. What I couldn't stand was the waiting period. I waited almost exactly 55 minutes for a steak salad, and I debated leaving about four times. I'm happy I brought a book; I got through 30 pages of a Stephen King novel while chatting with my family. I can't speak for the entire staff, but the waitress for our table had an interesting habit of only checking in when we clearly didn't need anything; every time we did need something she'd immediately vanish. Sometimes we'd ask for something and she'd walk away without a word; it was difficult to tell if she was going to help. The establishment felt clean and it was a nice open area, which was refreshing for a sports bar and diner, but I have to say I am quite a bit of a germaphobe when it comes to silverware. I had to find silverware on a different table that was all bundled together lazily in several baskets instead of distributed on each table. Picturing a bunch of other people's kids rooting around there touching all the silverware... didn't make me too hungry. I would also like to say that the attire for this restaurant is not formal as it currently says on the Yelp page; there were two older gentlemen wearing button up shirts, but other than that it was a sea of t-shirts and blue jeans. Overall, I was debating back and forth between a two and a three for this restaurant. Ultimately it boils down to whether or not I'd recommend this place to someone. As it stands on the day I'm posting this, I would not. I left feeling disappointed and I most likely won't come back. If I do and the place has changed, I'll happily update my review, but for now it stays at a 2. read more

We've been going to Whiskey Canyon since they first opened for business , so when my wife wanted to go there for her birthday with family I thought that would be a good choice..............turns out not so much ; from the time we ordered it was a hour and fifteen minutes before we got our food, when I got my food it was all cold and the pulled pork was dry and had hard pieces in it , waitress finally asked if I would like a refill of my tea as we waited for our bill . My husband and I went for a Sunday drive to have breakfast here. I was impressed by several things. The building was new. The inside was clean and well kept. The food was good.
