They went above and beyond in making sure I was prepared and to help make sure I was knowledgeable in my sons treatment and what he needed from me as the parent and one handling his night gear. Making sure I had what my son needs in his overnights with dad. They are prompt in responding and easy to get ahold of. The overall experience makes the price of ortho (which is expensive in general)seem like you're getting an amazing deal. We love it here! The staff is incredible and so is the doctor. Easy In and out each time. Dr. Laidlaw does fun events for her clients like renting out the theater one year. My sons teeth look great so far and the price is so worth it and also normal for getting braces and having a great doctor and team following. If you have to get orthodontic care, this is the place to get it. We have had a wonderful experience for both my daughter and I for Invisalign and traditional braces. The office and clinical staff are excellent! They have flexible appointment times and quick responses in the case of a urgent issues like a broken bracket or loose wires. The entire staff is kind, pleasant and seem like they enjoy each other and their jobs. Our family drives an hour each way to come to this office and it's worth it! Seriously. The cost has been reasonable with no surprise extra fees along the way. Dr. Laidlaw gave us solid advice about extractions needed at our dentist and choices about how we wanted to proceed. Everything is explained in depth and care is taken to make sure we understand our treatment plans and get our questions answered. 10/10... 5 stars! read more

No one ever says to themselves... 'gee self, I sure love braces' While none of us said that to ourselves, Dr. Laidlaw sure made it as fun as it could be. Both of our daughters, as well as we mother and father figures, have taken our turn getting set straight. The difference it makes in our daily lives is so worth any complaints we may have had. Okay, so the orthodontist is nice enough, but her office kind of says it all. She is a bit full of herself and her abilities. I realize she teaches at the college, but her pricing is out of line. Basically, if your insurance will approve it, she'll charge it and then some, if she can. We went there for our kids, and I told them to contact me if the pricing was going to be more than 10 percent above what the amount to be transferred from our previous orthodontist would be. I didn't want to drag the kids out of schooling just to get there and discover that we wouldn't have any adjustments done that day. No contact, so we go in for an "appointment" only to get taken into the business office and told that basically, the kids would cost EACH what we had paid for BOTH in our other town, and that some invasive procedures would be required. In addition, she had our insurance amounts added wrong --our old orthodontist tried to explain this, but the person who goes over your payments wasn't interested. In fact, my orthodontist's staff told me "run from this place." I was pretty shocked. I was assured it was "like this in Portland"... but it is not. You can read my other reviews to see where we ended up...and we paid a small amount above what our other orthodontist was transferring (we had paid up front) and the service is FAST and good and proficient. This place however, is just a bit too much of a palace for us. We can't afford fancy, we wanted quality care, not video games, state of the art decorating and fast talking. read more

My daughter and I started orthodontic treatment with Dr. Laidlaw and her team a little over a year ago. Dr. Laidlaw and her team go above and beyond to provide quality care to patients with compassion and efficiency. The moment my daughter and I walk in the door for our appointments, we are kindly greeted by the front desk staff. The clinical staff always take their time working with my daughter. They ask my daughter what colors she would like for her braces and my daughter is always leaving the office with a smile. I had a concern about the movement of one of my teeth recently and I called Dr. Laidlaw. The office was closed, I hung up the phone and planned to call the next day. As soon as I hung up, my phone started ringing at it was Dr. Laidlaw. She said she was walking out the door when she saw my name on the caller ID. She tried answering my call but missed me and called me right back. I expressed my concerns to Dr. Laidlaw and she offered to stay late in the office to take a look and make sure everything was okay. I am thoroughly impressed with the care I have received by Dr. Laidlaw and her team. I couldn't have asked for a better orthodontist for my daughter and I. I just completed my second round of orthodontics; the first time was 20 years ago. Now as an adult I was having pain from grinding my now misaligned teeth. My dentist's answer was to start adding crowns, something I was not excited about. I knew others who had gone to Dr. Laidlaw, and she came recommended. I appreciated how Dr. Laidlaw accurately explained the treatment and the professionalism she and her staff showed in carrying it out. I liked the email reminders for my appointments and how she was involved in the community, often sponsoring raffles for giving to local charities like the food bank. During my appointments it was fun to watch how Dr. Laidlaw and her staff interacted with the patients much younger than I, putting them at ease. My teeth look better than they ever have, and more importantly to me, they don't constantly ache. I plan on following my post-treatment plan to the letter, wearing that retainer, so they stay this way. I have recommend Dr. Laidlaw to my friends and co-workers, and I will happily make the drive from Beaverton when my kids need orthodontics. read more

We have twins that both needed braces and we researched several orthodontists in the Hillsboro/Forest Grove area. We went for a consult, they were so friendly, welcoming to our children, informative, and provided us with a myriad of options (as to when is the right start time for us, treatment plans etc). We knew that this was the right provider for our children. That was three years ago. Our son finished sooner, and our daughter took longer. This office caters to children, the receptionist is so friendly - and I don't know how she does it, but she knows all the kids by name. The reason why I am so confident in writing a glowing review, is that when our daughter suffered a dental emergency (yes - those really exist!) the office allowed for an urgent and unscheduled visit and provided advice, direction, follow up and reassurance regarding her care. It is during these times, that you really see the power of the office, the teamwork, and the true concern for the kids shine through. That makes all the difference in the world. The kids love the video games in the waiting room (although they never waited long enough to really play), the ice cream socials, movie events and contests. The summer is so fun in the office, which makes it so much more enjoyable for our kiddos. I can't recommend this office enough. read more

The best ortho around!! I can not say enough nice things about Dr. laidlaw and her amazing staff. Every time we walk in, we are always welcomed with a smile and everyone knowing our names, even my little guys that are just tagging along. I have 2 older boys that have braces and can not get the smiles off their faces when we leave. I will be bringing my other kids when they are ready for treatment. Dr. Laidlaw is wonderful! Our oldest has been going to her for years. She makes it very easy and painless. She does a great job!!! Our only disappointment was he had to have his lower braces redone and I had to repay all over again, was shocked. I was initially told insurance wouldn't cover, so I had to pay all out of pocket. But Mallery, financial coordinator, was a saint! She recently looked into our insurance when I asked again, worked on our behalf, found I had coverage and ensured it was taken care of. Eight family members have started or completed orthodontic treatment with Laidlaw Orthodontics, the last one in 2016 and no we aren't related to anyone there :). Dr. Laidlaw is personable, relaxed and fun to interact with. Her office staff are all pleasant and professional. Ten years ago, our oldest two daughters started out with moderate alignment issues which we knew we had to correct for them but how to afford? Their smiles are now perfect because of Dr. Laidlaw and they are confident college students and we're happy with the results. 3 other children were signed up with similar results. After 20 years of waiting for our turn my wife and I began our own treatment for full orthodontics. Through the years the office experience never changed. We were always pleased not just with the work but how we were taken care, listened to and treated including two emergency need requests. Just as important their office billing department worked with us for payment plans that made it possible each time so my recommendation is very high. Simply put we felt we mattered first and were cared about. I wish our regular medical doctors and offices were as good at the people side of care as Laidlaw Orthodontics is and has been for us over years. We looked forward to seeing them each visit.
