I was traveling back to Florida and wanted to have my oil changed before leaving. I ended up being told that I needed not only an oil change but I also needed rear differential fluid and gasket, new tires, muffler, front idler arms and possibly new brake lines. After having the work done, my car broke down within minutes of leaving their shop. I am now stranded in Willoughby,Ohio with no vehicle or living arrangements. Came in for an oil change and the service was really quick. The staff informed me of things I should look out for, but didn't pressure me into buying anything I didn't want to. Getting quoted 40 minutes because a Jeep and a Toyota with two topside filters with no additional services are currently in the bay because "there's only three of us" is insane at Valvoline. Topside, bottom side, someone to run the window. 15 mins each, tops, simultaneously. Not 20 minutes each separately. The ASM at this location needs some attention because he was rude during greeting and quoting times that are outrageous. We understand you miss your dead head years but don't take it out on customers. Worst VIOC I've been to, shameful after years of business being as I used to work for VIOC. read more

As soon as they heard fleet vehicle they were less concerned about doing the vehicle checks and more concerned about what they could get approved from the fleet company. I miraculously needed wipers and an air filter and they "knew" this before anyone even touched my car. They never bothered to check the lights and such and once the approval went though they were more or less done with me and it seemed like they just wanted me to leave. I went here because I was short on time but I'll never go back nor do I recommend it for anyone else. Don't bother with a reply and a "contact us" to resolve this, nothing ever changes and it's just a waste of my time. read more

I went to this valvoline about a month ago to get my tires rotated. Thought everything was fine. Then I just took my car to my regular mechanic to get some maintenance done and he asked me if I wanted my tires rotated. I said they were just done, but he let me know that the treads were mismatched so they must have only rotated them halfway. I had to pretty much pay someone to correct the screwup that valvoline did. Why did I even bother with paying valvoline when you can't do it right the first time?? Please contact me I'd like a refund for at least half my service since you only did half a job. read more

Last time I came I was so obsessed with the service. They are super fun and entertaining . I drove past 4 other places to visit exact location. Last time a guy name Rob helped me out and was able change my oil despite my hood latch being broken. I returned again still having my hood latch broken, they were able to change my oil again, Dennis was the main person who spoke with me and was super friendly bit all the guys were great and funny. read more

Took my car to see exactly what was going on with my car-dropped my car off Bob called 2 hours later and told me i needed brakes and brake line is leaking for $1300 i told him let me think about it. I called to ask questions he told me NO im not doing your car come back and get your car and take it somewhere else. You know what i did I took it to Conrad's. Went to get oil change got the preemo synthetic high mileage package $100. On the way home less than 2 miles away smoke started billowing out from under my hood. The transmission line was stripped out of the radiator and transmission fluid spewing everywhere. I NOW NEED TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE RADIATOR SINCE THEY DO NOT SELL THE PLUG ALONE. I have not been able to deliver food for weeks until I can afford this procedure.i filed a claim with valvoline only to find out it is reviewed by the same personnel who the claim is filed about. HHHMMM doesn't sound very neutral or thorough to me ? I will never go there again I have told everyone I know what has happened and I am never going to stop spreading the word. Last weekend I wanted to use my $20 off any oil change coupon and when I got to the establishment, a customer was hovering between the two lines. Since he was between the two lines I picked a line and had enough room to get behind the last car in the line. The customer got into the other line and started complaining to the greeting agent that I cut him in the line but he got into the other line. The greeting agent came to my car and asked if I could backup and let the customer get in front of me because he made a mistake and that line was going slower than the line I picked. I refused to move because I didn't feel I was in the wrong since he was between both lines. the greeting agent walked away. After waiting about 30 mins and when i was next to get my oil change, I'm going to assume the manager or one of the service technician came to my car and asked me again if I would backup and let the customer go ahead of me because the line he was in had two more cars ahead of him and he got there first. I refused and told him that the customer was between both lines and I picked a line and got in it and it wasn't my fault he couldn't decide on which line to get in. The manager or service technician tells me they have a policy saying they have to be fair and service customers in the order they come in. I repeat myself about what the customer did and I need my oil change just like him and being the manager or service technician wasn't trying to reason with me and insisted that I let the customer go ahead of me, I decided to take my business to the competition. read more

Went for an oil change and waited in line for a hour (only one car in front of me who had just pulled into the bay as I arrived) just to be told they don't have enough oil to service my car (5w40). I've had issues with wait times at this location being much longer than other valvolines I've visited but I understand different services take different times. However, I don't understand how they couldn't know they were out of the oil I needed when I arrived and let me know so I didn't wait in line for so long. To which I'll add, it's absolutely impossible to back up or pull out of this location. They then offered to give me a "pro max" option and I asked if they'd offer it to me for the same price. They denied and said I'd have pay more so I said I would drive it to the next closest location. They were unapologetic and said "at least you got free air" as if that made up for the hour I just sat to be told they weren't able to help me. read more

My 5th visit was a disaster. After arguing over the price finally got the guy to agree to $30 is the guy underneath said my car is leaking gas and they could not do the oil change. I am a regular customer I get a oil change once a month I drive that much. So I left went to Midas had the car fully inspected said definitely no gas leak and did the oil change. Yes they even put it in writing there is no gas leak on this vehicle. Will never return read more

We will never return to this business nor recommend it to anyone else. A friend had recommended this place. My elderly mother took her car for a simple oil change. They spent 10 minutes trying to sell her all sorts of additional things she did not need. This can be confusing to an elderly person.
