Quiet and clean! We arrived on the 25th of August, stayed a few days at a historical motel in Elkhorn, then onto an AirBnB located in Lake Geneva down to Peoria, Illinois at a Best Western and finally landed at the Sky Lodge! Out of the three, Sky Lodge has been the BEST! Staff have been friendly and welcoming! Rooms are a good size! We had stayed here previously several years ago (2006) when Hotel was named something else. I do have to say the place has been well taken care of! read more

Well, what could improve is the courtesy as a customer so the owner here basically makes threats to me tells me I couldn't have towels a couple days ago so even though I do like this place, the owner is just really really rude and ignorant, and I thought you know they were not gonna be like that you know just to ask for towels and toiletry they're like oh I can't do this. I can't but other people that has kids they say oh they could have this they could have this but for two adults, you're asking who paid to stay here I thought this was gonna be a good experience in my second time here I didn't know that these owners are gonna act like this to me I really didn't so if you're gonna stay here or be prepared to bring mostly your own things for yourself because they don't wanna give you anything. I don't know if it's cause I don't have kids or maybe my color my skin is not the same so I don't fit in here but I think it's pretty shitty thing to do to paying customers who paid to stay somewhere so maybe if not check out somewhere else you know like I said the place itself is decent, but I've never seen owners that could be nice a little bit and then the next day they can't seem to take the business or the heat of Customer Service read more

It's ok. This means the TV wasn't working, but that was an easy fix by plugging in the Direct Tv modem. But the remote control wasn't working properly. This is on room 211. I went to plug in a light, and the socket blew out sparks. There was trash in the trash bins already. Water felt slimey and smelled like well water, but it did the job. Had to pull out furniture to plug in lights. Now, this can be all attributed to possibly the room being renovated. But we asked for extra towels and never got them until my daughter's fiance went to get them. He said that the staff was very unhelpful. He had to walk in to get the towels himself. The breakfast is a joke. No hot foods. Two cereals and some packaged muffins. read more

Hi was going to our. Granddaughters softball tournament at Bigfoot high school. We decided because there was going to be a bunch of games the next day to get a hotel. So my husband called these were the hotels in the area that had rooms so we booked a room at this lodge. I know it's expensive near the lake it was $239 but $100 extra in service fees . The bed sucked. My husband could not even sleep on it. He slept in the chair. They offered breakfast. It was a bagel, toast or cold cereal. They were all out of juice and left the empty containers in the refrigerator. I stayed at Trump towers in Chicago and paid $50 more a night For five star service. This was a ridiculous amount of money, not worth it unless we were on the lake or some view my view with the parking lot. Just wanted to let anybody else know that this is so not worth that amount of money, and I feel very taken advantage of and ripped off. read more

***DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL*** Find another place in the area. Unfriendly staff. Double booking rooms, the couple on the other side got a show as I had JUST COME OUT OF THE SHOWER. Deactivating keys to the rooms AND arguing with us to get new ones. Stench of weed at night in the hallway while trying to sleep. Dirty sheets that you have to make the bed yourself when requesting new ones. This was the WORST hotel stay I've ever had. I will never be back and will make sure none of the people I care about go here. I have no idea how people can rate this place 5 stars. The owner and the staff could care less about helping you with any issues, let alone getting a refund for such an incredibly terrible experience. Overall, this hotel met my expectations. Its a no frills hotel, but a clean one. Here are my pros/cons. Gave it a 3, for overall hotel rating, but for its price range I would give it a 4 or 5. Pros: - Cheap! It was 100-150$ less than other hotels that were right in Lake Geneva - Centrally located - 15 mins from downtown Lake Geneva and 10 mins from Fontana Beach - Breakfast - nothing special but good pastries, cereal, coffee, juices, etc.... - Large rooms - our room was large with a couch, recliner, fridge, breakfast bar - Bed - comfortable (see con for other details) - Staff was friendly - Wifi worked - Pool - we didn't use the pool but did go look at it, basic but clean indoor pool (no hottub) Cons: - No frills, but we knew this going in - Sink is outside of the bathroom - Bedding is really outdated and scratchy (but mattress is comfortable) - A little noisy in the morning during checkout (but our room was first floor right in the area of checkout) read more

First of all, don't let the negative reviews scare you. This hotel was a pleasant surprise! Upon arrival, we noticed how clean the place looks. When we arrived at our room, it both looked and smelled clean. The beds are memory foam and are honestly the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept on. I'm actually writing this in bed at the hotel, as we check out tomorrow. There is a coffee pot, microwave and fridge in the room. I would suggest brining your own toiletries and ask for extra towels upon check in if there are more than two people staying in the room. Also, there is no elevator, but there are only two floors, and it's an easy climb from the lobby to the second floor. Definitely not a deterrent! Overall, I would recommend this hotel and would stay again. read more

This hotel is a great deal for the area! It's an older tutor style hotel, but inside there are newer floors and carpeting, with some nicer up to date decorations. It was sooo clean and the lady at the desk was very nice. The pool was clean and the water temperature was just right. The breakfast is simple, but for the price, it was fine. It's about half a mile from several nice restaurants. You could walk to a DQ, if you needed something. The wi-fi worked fine, so did the flat screen television. It even had a frig and microwave. This is a clean and lovely hotel run by friendly folks. A very good bargain for the price, but not a superstar hotel chain with all the bells and whistles. I stayed here over the weekend for a convention in Lake Geneva. This is the best experience for the dollar that I've had at any hotel I've ever stayed in. It's a fantastic value. The rooms are large and clean. The staff is friendly. The rooms have fridges and microwaves. We walked out after 15 minutes spend there with fleas. Terrible place, luckly I left my pup and luggage in the car otherwise would've been a nightmare. It didn't take more then 5 min to get a bunch of fleas on the legs, I've flipped the bed cover and there was a dead flea on the pillow ....There were 3 of us that stormed out of the room in 5 min with fleas on the legs, got to the reception desk and put a flea on their desk ...the refund took longer then expected the credit card machine wasn't working properly and one of us had to wait. This hotel lived up to everyone of my expectations. First of all, this is not a luxury hotel. This is a hotel that you go to for an inexpensive stay. No frills. What it does offer is very reasonable prices, CLEAN rooms, friendly staff, well maintained property, clean carpets (which look brand new), basic cold breakfast (included), wifi, hair dryer, ironing board & GREAT WATER PRESSURE. We arrived at the hotel with my child's service dog on Thursday, July, 19, 2019. We were checked in without incident. However, few minutes later, a man came to our room and told us we needed to take the dog in and out through the hotel's side/back door. He explained, he had made an exception for us as the hotel did not allow pets. My wife explained to him that the dog is not a pet but a federally protected Service Dog. She can go anywhere a wheelchair or the handi-cap person she services is allowed to go. The side/back door, locks after exiting. This means a family member would have to stand and wait there to let the dog and person back in to the hotel. There was also a sign on the door saying not to use the door as it would set off alarms and would alert the front desk. The grassy area outside the door was not mowed and not paved. It had no access for a person with a disability. The man told my wife we had to use this door so that no other patrons would see the dog and assume the hotel allowed pets. Again, we explained the dog was not a pet and could go anywhere a wheelchair would be allowed. We had stayed at this hotel two other times before my child received his dog. It had always been a good value, clean, and friendly. I doubt we will ever stay here again. No value is worth a degrading experience. read more

Wife and I stayed there on Oct. 3 & 4, 2014, while attending a wedding in Lake Geneva, 7 miles (12 minutes) away. Easy access on state highway 50, in a picturesque semi-rural area. Exceptionally good experience: very clean, quiet, great value for a low price. New carpeting, very comfortable beds. Linens and towels were fresh and clean. Owner family lives on site, and are very friendly and service-oriented. Small indoor pool looks almost new and is very clean, as is the spacious breakfast area. One of the best budget motels we have ever stayed at. Absolutely no complaints. Very satisfied. (No elevator to second floor, so ask for a first floor room if you are older or less fit.) read more

my wife and i stayed here for 4 nights while on vacation, the price was very reasonable, the entire hotel is very clean, the dinning room was like new, the swimming pool was the cleanest hotel pool i've ever swam in. it was very quiet and peaceful sitting on the pool patio in the evenings, the rooms where very clean, the beds where comfortable to sleep in, the owners are a very nice and friendly couple they welcome you in like family, they where very accommodating when we asked for extra pillows, we got 4. we will stay there every time we visit lake delavan for now on. try this hotel you will love the savings, you get a lot of bang for your buck. read more
