The resort held the rehearsal dinner in one of their private banquet rooms for about 30 people, and the experience was immaculate. It's easy for service to slip when a huge resort narrows its focus down to a smaller private room, but the catering team was prompt, courteous, and the food was outstanding. Beyond the event, the entire staff--from the concierges to the team on the casino floor--was incredibly welcoming and friendly. The casino area itself felt surprisingly quiet and relaxing. We also really loved the beautiful art and history exhibits showcasing the rich culture of the Tulalip people throughout the property. We traveled with our 2-year-old daughter and booked a Deluxe King. The room was spacious enough that we easily slid the couch next to the bed to create a perfect, cozy "crib" setup for her. These cabins and resort are perfect for quiet getaway from the cities hustle and bustle. Pure Heaven. Loved the people, the ease to walk out of cabin straight to beach, starry nights and the smell of the huge cedars. The sunsets are amazing, the birds are beauty singing every morning. I will be back every year. In fact sooner than a year if I can find vacancy. The staff was wonderful. We accidently left somethings and were contacted immediately to pick them up. Thank goodness we were still on the island. Thanks Beach Haven for the rest.

Our room was the smallest I believe at $175 a night, kinda pricey but you are facing the awesome bay views and can walk the beach with the stair access right across the street. They allowed dogs $35 per night extra so that was another perk. It was all self contained with kitchen but the fridge was an inconvenient mini fridge yet a full size stove/oven & microwave. The queen bed is also in the small room. Bathroom was tight with no shelves to unpack makeup/personals, no tub just shower. It did have a carport with bench and table/chairs for warmer weather. It did have a huge nice tv although tricky to use. There was a none big lawn area behind the cottages that offered hot tub, toys, bbqs, fire pits and kayaks etc to rent w/ life jackets. We were basically alone for the 4 nights, only saw one staff member on first day. Internet worked fine. They include a kierig w/ k-cups which was nice. I was wishing I'd brought paper plates as they just had 2 heavy ceramic plates but had most basic necessities for cooking and eating, even spices, paper towels, dish and hand soap plus toothbrushes. Overall it was pleasant stay, just tight quarters, a bit pricey and noisy bed.

Although there are many newer, more luxurious, and more amenity-rich properties in Sequim and Dungeness, the simple charm of this property and the kindness of the hosts (John and Karin) keep me coming back. Situated like sets of side-by-side duplexes, the guest rooms are cozy and super clean. There are televisions, free wi-fi, and full kitchens but no telephones. Each cottage has its own parking space and carport for your car and bicycles. There is a pasture behind the property where cows currently graze amid the backdrop of the Olympic mountains. The front of the property are panoramic views of incredible sunsets, the bay, the Dungeness Spit, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, British Columbia, the San Juan Islands, and on and on. There is a nice bbq on the property that's available for guests to share. At night, it's pitch black and dead silent. The beauty of this respite from urban assaults on the senses can take getting used to by folks who have forgotten how magical this type of stillness is. I love nighttime walks with flashlight looking for deer. Deer are everywhere, literally, day and night. John and Karin are excellent resources for places to go and things to do if you're new to the area. They're honest and discriminating and won't steer you to a place just because it's popularly touristy; if it's not good, they'll tell you so and give better recommendations. I love this place!

This is a beautiful quaint little family run oasis on Mitchell Bay. There are hotel style rooms, and private cabins. We stayed in a private cabin on the waterfront for our anniversary this year. The cabins are stunning. Everything was super clean. You have a full kitchen and appliances should you want to cook, even equipped with a BBQ outside! There's a small living space, and the bathroom felt like a luxury spa! The shower had pebbled floorings which were so nice. The bedroom was cozy and comfortable and not to mention pitch black which was amazing for sleep! We slept with all windows open at night and slept great with the cool air and again I can't stress enough how quiet the property is. My favorite part is the windows at the front looking at the water and the little sitting nook by the kitchen. I sat there or in the chairs out front for most of our trip just admiring the water and stillness. So pretty! There's a little greenery area for sitting, play lawn games, or fire pits for smores. They also have kayaks and paddle boards for use during the day which was a nice amenity. They also have a general store and coffee shop on property with everything you might need. My favorite part is their water system that's fully treated and maintained by them. Because of it the shower water is so soft and serene, and the drinking water is amazing straight from the tap! This was a 10/10 stay from top to bottom, and we already can't wait to come back!

Check-in was done at the lobby. At the lobby one will also find a store and a coffee shop. Complimentary movies and games can also be checked out at the lobby to enjoy back at your lodging. The store offers a little bit of everything, from clothing to snacks. Complimentary ice machines are available. Bagged ice can be purchased though. Lower-level parking is limited and was completely full in the evenings. We were lucky enough to get a parking spot every time we returned from playing. Wheel barrel type carts located at the gate make transporting luggage effortless to rooms. Adirondack chairs are scattered about the edge of the property to enjoy sipping a beverage, reading or admiring the view. A fire-pit, community BBQ, picnic area and kids play area help pass the time while on-site. The paly area is at the lobby end for those who do not wish to have quarters near noise. The cabin we were given was number 10, a handicap unit. The very first cabin upon entrance and the furthest from the lobby and play area. Our cabin was clean and well equipped. Snug Harbor provided us the peace that we were seeking at the time. My one suggestion would be to offer fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the lobby to establish a more personal touch.

The only thing I wish there was is fresh coffee in the lobbies in the morning. I hate K cups, personally. They don't taste good and are bad for the environment. Plus making coffee in the room wakes my wife up and I like to let her sleep in. They have a coffee shop, but I wanted it in a mug. We ended up going to the restaurant for coffee and a fruit bowl which was perfect. I loved all the little spaces to hang out and enjoyed writing in the little workspace on our floor. The view and setting made it easy to feel productive and made my writing feel less boring than usual (I'm in school). The staff were all super sweet and thoughtful throughout. Well, get this, they had one but IT WAS NOT OPEN on a Saturday night with several big games going on. So we tried elsewhere. Only place was a "deli" with prepackaged salads and pre cooked wings and pizza. Terrible. All the tvs showing a game that noone was watching. Had to go to 22 different people to get the tvs changed FINALLY got security to call IT to change it. AC on freezing...food terrible...the opposite of a good casino experience. I would suggest going anywhere but here. I asked a few folks about the one "good" restaurant, they swore the food was all reheated and very expensive. While checking in I was asked what car I was driving. I said an RV. He said, but what make and model is your car. IT IS AN RV. Then he figures it out and hands me a thing to hang from my rearview mirror. I take it, and I said, where else can I put this? He said, "It has to be on the rearview mirror." "I don't have one." "It is the law in Washington State that you have one. Well, I don't. I drive an RV. Well, put it somewhere. Great. My thought ....stay far from this place. This is our first and our very last stay.

On the way into Ross, we were the first at the dock: called in to the office and were told 20-30 min. A truck did arrive after 30 min, but it was loaded with passengers for the ferry that first needed to unload, then ferry passengers (who in the meantime arrived) were loaded in front of us onto the truck and left. Then, a second truck with kayaks came - these were then unloaded and we were finally loaded onto a very stinky, loud, and bumpy diesel truck - with us being right behind the exhaust pipe. The ordeal took about 2 hours. On the way back, we were _again_ the first at the dock and told 20-30 min. A truck did arrive after 20 min, but it was loaded with a motorboat that arrived _after_ us. Our kayaks then did not fit safely on the truck and the driver said "I need to leave.". To my request if they can get a driver for the second truck, someone on the other end of the radio replied "We do not have more than 1 truck on the road, and we're short staffed." About an hour later, the truck returns full of canoes, that first needed to be unloaded and finally our kayaks are loaded onto the truck. The truck driver was switched out with a crew of _2_ drivers. Short staffed? Only 1 truck on the road? This return trip took about 2.5 hours. 2 more things about Ross Lake Resort: - They do not assume any reliability for portaging, so whatever breaks even if they loaded it, is not their fault. - They have a noisy generator running all day long. Lies, unreliable service and prioritizing their own resort guests ahead of others makes this a -1/5 in my book.

We waited until they were done to fill up our 6 5-Gallon water jugs. The drive to the location was pleasant, and it was so simple to get the water since there were a lot of water hoses to use. Nice setup for the filtered Spring Water! Good to obtain and try since it's much closer than the previous location we used to go to. Outdoor area for the water is kind of hidden, but liked the convenience to get it for a small donation. Nice and scenic trails are available, too!

The Nature and Natural environment is beautiful. Our concerns were with the Lady working or running…read morethe resort. She was very rude to the people in front of us, as well as us. She digs through all of your bags, purse, backpacks & cooler, looking for alcohol. She was very rude and degrading to them as well as everyone we saw her interact with. She found alcohol with the person in front of us and would not allow them to take it back to their vehicle. Even though they showed their ID and were 21. If alcohol is not allowed at the resort she should not keep it and should allow them to bring to their vehicle. No, she kept it for herself I guess. Either way there is no need for being so rude and degrading to each person coming through as we saw the people before us, us and after us treated badly. Stay away from this resort.
