But recently I've found myself visiting Palm Center a lot more often. It's actually got quite a lot going for it. At this strip you can get in a workout (Plant Fitness), eat some sushi or sandwiches (New Moon Sushi & Subway), get car essentials (NAPA), office & house essentials (Staples & Big Lots), get your haircut (Lakeland Barber), go to church (Access Church), or get your alcohol restock (ABC Liquors). You can also get a nice pre or post workout, church or shopping juice or smoothie from Juice Box, go shopping at the Christian Bookstore, get your taxes taken care of at H&R Block, or hit up the consignment store. Oh, and there's a Cici's Pizza if you don't want sushi or a sub. I still haven't named all of the businesses in this complex, but you can see my point right? The only unfortunate thing is that despite the range of Palm Center, it's really not well maintained. A lot of it seems to be nearly falling apart and dirty especially on the outside. Thus, why the strip is also so easily passed by. It's not nice on the outside, so many know that equates to being looked over a lot. But don't! Because Palm Center has much to offer!

But now all the building space is taken up- there's a Honeybaked Ham, J.Burns pizza and another business there. It's a clean complex with plenty of parking. The entrance is very steep so pulling out onto the busy South Florida Avenue can be a pain. But trust me, the sushi at Fancy Q is worth all of that!

I was excited when I first saw one being built here and was consequently even happier once it finally opened. There's just a ton of STUFF at these stores. You need a can opener? Go to HomeGoods. Need a smaller drawer with only 3 drawers and a worn white look? HomeGoods. Need a few specific spices and a turn table for your kitchen? Boom, HomeGoods. If there's something really random I need for my house and I want a fairly reasonable price, HomeGoods really is a great option.

Be that as it may, I have always had really good experiences with this Mulberry location. I actually choose to drive the extra 15 minutes to this Walmart rather than the closer South Lakeland one. I typically do drive up orders for my groceries as again, going into a Walmart you never know what you might see or experience so I do my best to limit possible interactions. The Walmart app is super easy to navigate and I always have a great experience using the drive up here. Typically at most I'll wait a few minutes- I have never seen more than a few cars at a time here and I've come at various times of day and days of the week. I think there's been one time I waited maybe 15-20 minutes for my order and I was shocked it took that long. For comparison, at the South Florida location it typically takes AT LEAST 40 minutes to get your order because it's so crazy. So driving the extra time here actually still saves me time versus going to the Walmart that's closer to me. The math shouldn't math. When I have weathered going into this Walmart, it's usually good. It's a clean store that's typically well-stocked (the South Lakeland one is often harboring empty shelves and missing things, this Mulberry one is not so). It also has a lot of offerings for a Walmart in a small town- the classic eye clinic, a McDonalds, and even a whole hair salon. I have a disposable camera I use frequently as I am still old school and love the vintage look of film prints, and I take my film here to be developed. They actually do a great job and have a quick turnaround, as well as a supplying a digital version of the photos. I have tried places like CVS and Walgreens to develop film too and end up coming back to Walmart because it's just a better process. Lastly, mostly all the workers here have been really cool. Luz who works in the electronics is so sweet and helpful. I wish I knew the names of the drive up workers because every single one of them is always so friendly and nice even just in the few minutes we cross paths. I am not a Walmart fan, but I am a fan of this particular Walmart.

The…read morestore has a large gaming area, had a broad selection of freebies for Free RPG Day, and Ray was a great GM. My prior experience with Daggerheart was a learn to play session at a convention, and the system did not really grab me, but Ray explained the system well and got everyone into the shared story telling aspect of the game, which is its real strength. Ultimately, Ray ran an amazing session and I left with an appreciation for Daggerheart as a system. The store itself was spacious, clean, and had a large offering of comics, figures, and TTRPG games and accessories. They also have a Warhammer 40K room that has an impressive array of Games Workshop products. The RPG section was smaller, but they had a good variety of RPGs and accessories. I definitely will be back for in-store games and any time I am looking for comics, figures, etc.

We had not been to this store before and it's not along a major thoroughfare so if you aren't actively searching for it, you would likely never know it's there. This place is truly a find! If you are donating you should consider giving to actual charities instead of "for profit" enterprises unless you have no other choice. If you do give know less than an 8th of the total profits goes to those in need. Donating is easy here just pull up, unload and go. If you need to get rid of items in a hurry or can't deal with finding just the right place for your items this place may work for you. All that said, sometimes you need to buy inexpensive or items on the fly and you check out Goodwill. We had pretty good luck shopping here at the Lakeland location for a few items. There is a main big room and a secondary smaller room and both share walls with an employee only section. The furniture is in the back room with some household stuff while the front room has clothing for all, accessories , linens, appliances, dishes, small appliances, toys, glasses, etc. They sell some new items that are close outs or extras from companies and donations from individuals. The employee only area is the heart of the operation. The donations come in a door in the drop off area on the outside right side. The stuff is loaded into bins and carried in to be sorted, priced, and later put out. You can't buy things that are newly donated till they are processed. It seems strange to not sell newly donated stuff to willing buyers but they have their protocols. The mark up here is pretty high. Some furniture was too highly priced for condition. There was a ton of linens that could have been gotten for similar prices at discount stores on sale. The selection varies as well as some things are in good condition while some are stained, broken and/or ripped. Employees are nice and friendly for the most part. We dealt with several and most were helpful. You can't blame them that they work hard and the company takes all the money. I digress. If you need things at an inexpensive price come check it out but know what the items you need are worth prior to arriving. This way you know you got a deal and avoided getting taken. An employee named Sara behaved in an openly rude, hostile, and disrespectful manner. She spoke with clear attitude, used aggressive body language, and acted annoyed toward customers when they could not hear her. This was not normal "bad service" -- it was deliberate and unprofessional behavior. I was shopping with my autistic sister and my autistic daughter, and Sara's behavior directly caused my daughter to become overwhelmed and begin pancaking, a serious stress response in autistic individuals. Any employee working with the public should know better than to escalate a situation involving a child with disabilities. To make matters worse, Sara made an incorrect and unfounded accusation, which only increased stress and embarrassment for my family. This crossed a line. When I spoke with another employee, I was told this is not the first time and that her attitude toward customers is a known issue. This is not just poor customer service -- it is a pattern of behavior that Ross management needs to address immediately. Customers with disabilities deserve respect, patience, and basic human decency. I strongly urge store management and corporate to review this incident, address this employee's conduct, and ensure proper customer service and disability-awareness training. Ignoring this kind of behavior puts Ross at risk of losing customers and trust.

The shopping center appears to be well lit and while there are some taller trees, they do not excessively block visibility of the parking areas. The speed bumps tend to keep the traffic going slower.
