I recently stayed at The Wave Orlando in Lake Nona, and the experience was a mix of beautifully executed luxury and frustrating technology hiccups. Starting with the highlights .The hotel's aesthetic is stunning. It's eclectic, modern, and artsy, with thoughtful design choices everywhere you look. From the different neon signs scattered throughout the property to the carefully curated furniture and art pieces hanging on the walls, the space feels creative, elevated, and visually engaging. It's the kind of place where every corner feels intentional and photo-worthy. The rooms continue that elevated experience with top-of-the-line blackout blinds, a heated toilet, motion-sensor lighting, a spacious shower, and an iPad-controlled system that allows you to manage lighting and temperature, chat with the front desk, and order room service. Every detail feels sleek and upscale. One of my favorite aspects of the hotel is how inviting the common areas are. There are multiple nooks and crannies throughout the property where you can work, read, or enjoy some quiet alone time. There's also a sculpture garden, which makes for a peaceful walk and adds a unique artistic element to the stay. Another big perk is the parking setup. Valet is optional, but self-parking is free in a garage located directly across from the hotel, which is extremely convenient. The hotel also offers multiple restaurants onsite, and it's located just down the street from Boxi Park and the Lake Nona Town Center, giving you even more dining and shopping options nearby. The location is definitely a plus. Unfortunately, the TV experience was disappointing. The television only allows casting from a mobile device, which quickly became an issue. For example, Netflix cannot be streamed if you have the basic plan with ads. Ad-free Netflix accounts are supported. Even live TV frequently froze or blacked out, sometimes taking several minutes to come back on, making it difficult to enjoy any TV at all. Overall, The Wave delivers on design, comfort, amenities, and location, but the technology particularly the TV setup needs improvement to fully match the luxury feel of the hotel. Once that's addressed, this could easily be a standout stay in Lake Nona.

I was traveling for work and had a wonderful stay at the Lake Nona Wave Hotel! You are greeted by the most wonderful and carefully curated environment that feels luxurious and modern! Tons of great amenities and great on site restaurants. Our room was clean, fantastic views and was very impressed with how the staff carried themselves and prioritized us having a great experience. The only downside was at some point the application that manages how the smart tv functions started to glitch out and cause the tv to turn off while we were resting and watching tv but things happen and I understand that technology can be glitchy at times. My suggestion would be to look into this to ensure such a nice hotel isn't ruined by a tv that keeps turning off and back on. I look forward to my next time at the Wave!

Took a chance on this hotel even though I usually do Marriott. Absolutely loved it! The hotel was cool, artsy and high tech. As you walk in you see many abstract art on the walls and paintings and sculptures. Staff were friendly and helpful. I loved how they had a sculpture artsy garden with swings and cool benches to relax in. The restaurant upstairs had beautiful cherry blossom plants that extended to the ceiling against the which gave an artsy architectural approach. The rooms were spacious and high tech. The windows weee smart and adjusted to the sunlight. The toilet seats were high tech like Japan which I truly missed! Heated, and with bidet. The rooms were clean, spacious and the bed linen was comfy. There was a fitness center we were able to get in complimentary being guests at wave hotel. The fitness was huge. Steam room, jacuzzi, Olympic pool, sauna, yoga studio, kids pool center. This place had everything. Apps a free shuttle walking distance to Lake Mona town center and Boxi park with restaurants and live music. I definitely can't wait to come bac

We had to pick a location that was within a 2 and 1/2 hour drive from our house to have a little weekend get away for our anniversary, and this hotel fit the bill. I would describe it as a high-end Aloft. The grounds were pretty and there was a pool on site- on one of the upper level floors. There is a recreation center about a 5-minute walk away and all the amenities there are included. We walked over to hop in the hot tub. It was nice. But it's also like a large YMCA so there were children swim lessons while we were enjoying the hot tub. But if you wanted to work out there is a ton of equipment and also saunas and a steam room. But just imagine going to a nice YMCA, not on property at the actual hotel. Tons of options to eat here. We had a late lunch at the bar and everything was good, was it over the top, no but definitely good and the staff was super nice. After we went off site to dinner, we popped into the club that they have and it was definitely a fun vibe. Would highly recommend this hotel for someone who wants to get away from the typical Orlando hotels and stay in a high tech room. PS- The heated toilet seats were my absolute favorite!

Staying at this hotel was such a luxury! When arriving, they have free parking on site in the parking garage across the hotel and valet parking in the front from what I remember was $40 a night. I loved the decor in the hotel, it was so unique. The lobby bar was my favorite or the Nami bar. This is a great hotel to come to for business or leisure and is also located very close to all the parks, I would say about a 20-30 minute drive. There are many different restaurants dispersed all over the property and the hospitality was always amazing in all departments. the breakfast and lunch spot on the second floor Garni was also a great option located on the second floor next to the pool. The rooms at this hotel might be the best rooms I've ever experienced at any hotel. They have super high tech toilets which includes a bidet, heated toilet seats, and hands free concept. The beds are super comfortable and the showers are huge with high pressure shower heads. The water gets super hot which is something I noticed many hotels do not offer. I did not get the chance to experience the spa and gym area, but I did hear many great things so make sure you check it out! Another point I want to mention, the room service was super cool and all from the control of an iPad in each room with menus, live service, maps, etc... We ordered wine bottle service from the iPad and it came so quick with an ice bucket and glasses. I will definitely be coming back, what a great experience.

I absolutely love this local hotel for staycations or just a nice dinner or drinks occasionally. The garden is also a nice touch as I've come with my little one to picnic and watch the planes fly over. Pool is alittle small for the hotel in my opinion but it's nice and pool service is available. Staff is wonderful and the decor is absolutely amazing and picture worthy!

After dining at Nami, my best friend and I decided to tour the hotel. We started off by walking through the art sculpture garden outside and we stumbled upon what appeared to be flowers that were left behind from a party. The party planner offered us to take some flowers home so she can clear the area so we happily accepted. We took our bouquet of flowers to the bar and had some cocktails and made our way upstairs to another bar where they were playing music. Mt friend told me there was a a cover charge and a minimum drink order but the bouncers just let us right in without paying. I mean, I don't see why they would charge a cover fee at a hotel. Or maybe they saw our bouquet of flowers and thought we were at the party from outside. Or maybe it's because we're women and Fridays are free for ladies night? Who knows! The wave hotel is gorgeous! It was giving me Miami South Beach vibes with all the decor and bright colors and of course with all the attractive men and women there. Hopefully the next time I come, I'll be a guest in one of their rooms. From what I've heard, their rooms are really spacious and their roof top pool is worth checking out.

I have not stayed at this hotel - only visited to check it out, as this is an iconic building, very well known all around Orlando, and it is truly living up its name with the beauty, aesthetics and surrounded by nature and a sculpture garden

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Hope they have restaurants inside and the vibe is amazing especially on a Friday night. I went to the restaurant because in the waitress was amazing and the food was exceptional.

Whether you're staying at the hotel or just enjoying the amenities, this place is always having live music and good vibes. They're three restaurants that are delicious. I recommend this place to anyone. The service has always been good, friendly and fair.

Love visiting this hotel over and over and when in Lake Nona, we are always here. We actually start from the back first bc of the sculpture garden that we are utterly obsessed with. Day and night it's a beautiful site. They have a bar there too and sometimes music and events. That is also an area to host a private event. Inside this hotel lobby area, it's so welcoming to all, there are several restaurants here, and a bar and music, and everything inside is very artsy and decorated with lots of love. There is tons of seating to hang out and it's very lively. You can park across the street in the garage or we walk from the Lake Nona Town center or Boxi Park which are easily walkable on a very lush walk way with lights The only drawback is that you can hear the airplanes soaring above, but that also means it's very close to the airport. It's also close to Disney World, but you would still have to drive.

Awesome hotel and staff. Rooms are very modern with awesome toilets! Great restaurants and clubs as well. We cant say enough good about this hotel! Definitely a great place to stay.

    Nadia R.

Amazing addition to the Lake Nona community. Although we are locals, we love to visit the living room lounge and restaurants like Nami, not forgetting the upstairs lounge on Friday and Saturday nights are upscale and vibey. It is a pricier experience than most but worth it for the location. The hotel and surroundings is always clean and well kept. It's nice to stroll the garden at night time and grab a cocktail. They will also have themed events throughout the holidays.

If you don't follow your GPS like it's the voice of God, you'll drive past this place at least 10 times wondering if you're being pranked. Once you finally find it, though, you're in for a surprise. The hotel is attached to a magnificent steakhouse and gives off this classy vineyard-patio vibe that makes you feel like you're about to attend a wine tasting, even if you're just there for work like I was. Walking up, there are beautiful outdoor tables with glass tops where guests can relax, eat, and pretend they're important. Then you walk into the lobby and BAM dark wood floors, elegant furniture, comfortable sofas, and enough atmosphere to make you wonder, Wait what did I accidentally book? I was honestly concerned I'd somehow clicked the wrong hotel and was about to max out my credit card. Nope. Surprisingly affordable. The room? Fantastic. You've got a Keurig machine ready to fuel your caffeine addiction, a nice big TV, all the amenities you need, and then there's THE BED. Listen, I don't know if it's a pillow-top, a cloud-top, a Sleep Number, a NASA mattress, or if angels personally fluff it every afternoon, but that thing is dangerous. I laid down for what felt like five minutes and woke up the next morning. I slept harder than a newborn after a bottle. Now let's talk about room service. They have this little stand where you order directly from the steakhouse downstairs. I ordered dinner, expecting hotel prices that require a small bank loan. The bill was $35. I nearly called the front desk to report a pricing error. Meanwhile, I was hungrier than a hostage, and they delivered a meal fit for royalty. For a brief moment, I genuinely felt like a VIP. The hotel also has a nice bar for those who enjoy a drink. I don't drink, but if I did, I probably would've celebrated finally finding the entrance. Bottom line: great atmosphere, beautiful property, comfortable rooms, amazing food, affordable prices, and a mattress that may have supernatural powers. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. Would I still need GPS to find it? Also absolutely.

We were able to go out and about without worrying about driving, which made the trip even more enjoyable. The hotel was easy to find, and parking is conveniently located right across the street with simple in-and-out access (though, of course, there is a parking fee -- which is never fun). Inside, the hotel is very clean, beautifully decorated, and the staff was accommodating throughout our stay. Our room was on the fifth floor, which I actually prefer when staying in a city -- the higher up, the better to avoid street noise. One of my favorite features of Embassy Suites is the room layout. The separation between the living room and bedroom is ideal, especially if someone wants to rest while others are still awake. The rooms have consistently been clean and feel very homey. Everything was great -- until Sunday morning. This is a dog-friendly hotel, which we love since we bring our dog and take her on walks so she's not stuck inside all weekend. However, checkout morning was pure chaos. One of the two elevators was out of service, it was peak checkout time, and there was also a princess pageant event happening, so the hotel was much busier than usual. Trying to get downstairs with my dog was extremely frustrating. I looked for stairs but wasn't sure if they were alarmed. When I asked an employee to confirm, she looked at me like I had five heads, which didn't help my already thin patience (I definitely did not have enough coffee for that situation). I eventually just went downstairs. Coming back up was even worse -- the line for the single working elevator was ridiculous. When I asked the front desk about the stairs, I was told they were accessible from outside. I didn't realize I needed my key card to re-enter through the outdoor stairwell (which makes total sense -- I was just aggravated at that point). After going back inside and trying again, I ended up walking up five flights of stairs with my dog. Thankfully, we had requested a late checkout, so we avoided the absolute peak of the chaos. Our friends on the third floor ended up carrying their luggage down the stairs because waiting for the elevator wasn't worth it. Unfortunately, being on the fifth floor with a lot of luggage, that wasn't really an option for us. Aside from that stressful morning, we really enjoyed our stay. The complimentary evening happy hour with drink tickets and small bites is always a highlight. We also had breakfast on Saturday morning -- and honestly, the breakfast is a major deciding factor whenever we choose to stay at a Hilton. Overall, a great stay with one very frustrating checkout experience.

Nice clean hotel! Had to stay one night due to a travel situation!…read more It's convenient, well kept, nice gym, clean rooms. Service was good, didn't interact that much. Room felt modern and loved the hotel room in general. One elevator worked but oh well not a bother. It was great due to the location and an easy drive to Disney as I went to Disney springs.

Good location and friendly staff, however, it needs a few improvements inside the rooms…read more I enjoyed my stay with my family because it has a few perks including big rooms, breakfast and parking. The rooms are spacious but it has a few problems. We had problems with the water pressure in the shower. It was almost no water pressure at all. The AC unit was blowing air directly to the bed so we had the air directly on our faces. Not comfortable. The humidifier unit inside the room is a great idea but it was very noisy. The sheets and towels were clean but they feel a bit old not crispy. I believe they need new ones. One big plus is that Publix is next door and it was a nice one. Another good fact was the parking. There is plenty of parking since it is adjacent to a strip mall so at night it was easy to get a spot. Also, the parking is included so no extra charges. That's great! Breakfast was decent. They had an egg and a meat option every morning. Waffles, bread, bagels and coffee were available. Staff did their best to keep it clean and available. Overall it was a good stay.
