Went to the Wave Hotel bar for some drinks with friends after work. I got a Cosmopolitan and it was about $22. The drinks are pricey here but they are not bad at all. All of my friends liked all of their drinks, which we had multiple and shared! Parking was super easy and free. No need to worry about a gate or anything like that. Service was fine! When looking for a hotel in Orlando, I specifically wanted to stay away from the theme park area. In my experience, many hotels near theme parks have nice lobbies, but once you get to the rooms, they're often worn down from the constant stream of guests and heavy foot traffic. There are always tons of families and kids coming through, and it shows. I personally don't care how nice the lobby looks because you're paying to be in the room. This hotel ended up being a good alternative. It's about 30 minutes from most of the theme parks and the convention center, but I didn't mind the drive. The area is much quieter, and the views are actually really nice. There's a lake, lots of greenery, and even cows nearby, which was a nice change from the typical Orlando tourist scene. Pros * Beautiful property with nice views and a much more relaxing atmosphere than the theme park area. * Modern, clean, and well-maintained. * Several great restaurants on-site, including Michelin-recognized options. * Easy check-in process. * The room was clean and updated. I didn't have any cleanliness issues during my stay, which is more than I can say for a lot of hotels these days. * Free parking. * Comfortable bed. * The AC worked really well. The room stayed cold the entire time, which was a huge plus in Florida. * Electronic blackout blinds and window film do a great job blocking out sunlight. * In-room iPad makes it easy to communicate with guest services. * Although I'm usually not a fan of carpet in hotel rooms, this carpet appeared clean and was in good condition. Cons * The airport is nearby, so planes fly overhead pretty frequently. It didn't bother me much because I sleep with earplugs, but if you're sensitive to noise or are a light sleeper, it's definitely something to consider. You'll notice the planes throughout the day and into the evening. * The location is a little removed from everything. That's part of what makes it peaceful, but it also means you'll be driving if you want to go anywhere. * The pillows could have been firmer. * One of the charging stations in the room didn't work, and my phone didn't charge overnight. Thankfully, I had a backup charger. * The motion-sensor lights sounded great in theory but were annoying at night. Every time I got up to use the restroom, lights would turn on automatically. As a light sleeper, I found it difficult to fall back asleep afterward. * My biggest complaint was the electronic toilet. At first, I thought it was a cool feature, but throughout the night it would randomly run cleaning and reset cycles that made noise. If you're a heavy sleeper, you probably won't care. If you're a light sleeper, it can get annoying pretty quickly. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would choose this hotel again over most of the hotels near the theme parks. It's clean, modern, quieter than staying in the tourist areas, and the property itself is beautiful. Just be aware of the airport noise and some of the overly complicated technology in the rooms. read more

Booked a weekend stay at the Wave Hotel and it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel itself is work of art. Several bars, restaurants, indoor pool and numerous seating areas. I recently stayed at The Wave Orlando in Lake Nona, and the experience was a mix of beautifully executed luxury and frustrating technology hiccups. Starting with the highlights .The hotel's aesthetic is stunning. It's eclectic, modern, and artsy, with thoughtful design choices everywhere you look. From the different neon signs scattered throughout the property to the carefully curated furniture and art pieces hanging on the walls, the space feels creative, elevated, and visually engaging. It's the kind of place where every corner feels intentional and photo-worthy. The rooms continue that elevated experience with top-of-the-line blackout blinds, a heated toilet, motion-sensor lighting, a spacious shower, and an iPad-controlled system that allows you to manage lighting and temperature, chat with the front desk, and order room service. Every detail feels sleek and upscale. One of my favorite aspects of the hotel is how inviting the common areas are. There are multiple nooks and crannies throughout the property where you can work, read, or enjoy some quiet alone time. There's also a sculpture garden, which makes for a peaceful walk and adds a unique artistic element to the stay. Another big perk is the parking setup. Valet is optional, but self-parking is free in a garage located directly across from the hotel, which is extremely convenient. The hotel also offers multiple restaurants onsite, and it's located just down the street from Boxi Park and the Lake Nona Town Center, giving you even more dining and shopping options nearby. The location is definitely a plus. Unfortunately, the TV experience was disappointing. The television only allows casting from a mobile device, which quickly became an issue. For example, Netflix cannot be streamed if you have the basic plan with ads. Ad-free Netflix accounts are supported. Even live TV frequently froze or blacked out, sometimes taking several minutes to come back on, making it difficult to enjoy any TV at all. Overall, The Wave delivers on design, comfort, amenities, and location, but the technology particularly the TV setup needs improvement to fully match the luxury feel of the hotel. I was traveling for work and had a wonderful stay at the Lake Nona Wave Hotel! You are greeted by the most wonderful and carefully curated environment that feels luxurious and modern! Tons of great amenities and great on site restaurants. Our room was clean, fantastic views and was very impressed with how the staff carried themselves and prioritized us having a great experience. The only downside was at some point the application that manages how the smart tv functions started to glitch out and cause the tv to turn off while we were resting and watching tv but things happen and I understand that technology can be glitchy at times. My suggestion would be to look into this to ensure such a nice hotel isn't ruined by a tv that keeps turning off and back on. I look forward to my next time at the Wave! read more

Took a chance on this hotel even though I usually do Marriott. Absolutely loved it! The hotel was cool, artsy and high tech. As you walk in you see many abstract art on the walls and paintings and sculptures. Staff were friendly and helpful. I loved how they had a sculpture artsy garden with swings and cool benches to relax in. The restaurant upstairs had beautiful cherry blossom plants that extended to the ceiling against the which gave an artsy architectural approach. The rooms were spacious and high tech. The windows weee smart and adjusted to the sunlight. The toilet seats were high tech like Japan which I truly missed! Heated, and with bidet. The rooms were clean, spacious and the bed linen was comfy. There was a fitness center we were able to get in complimentary being guests at wave hotel. The fitness was huge. The hotel is nice. The rooms were not as inviting as I thought. There are no ice machines in the room as was indicated. There were no lamps which means the lights that are over head were on or off. We had to pick a location that was within a 2 and 1/2 hour drive from our house to have a little weekend get away for our anniversary, and this hotel fit the bill. I would describe it as a high-end Aloft. The grounds were pretty and there was a pool on site- on one of the upper level floors. There is a recreation center about a 5-minute walk away and all the amenities there are included. We walked over to hop in the hot tub. It was nice. But it's also like a large YMCA so there were children swim lessons while we were enjoying the hot tub. But if you wanted to work out there is a ton of equipment and also saunas and a steam room. But just imagine going to a nice YMCA, not on property at the actual hotel. Tons of options to eat here. We had a late lunch at the bar and everything was good, was it over the top, no but definitely good and the staff was super nice. After we went off site to dinner, we popped into the club that they have and it was definitely a fun vibe. Staying at this hotel was such a luxury! When arriving, they have free parking on site in the parking garage across the hotel and valet parking in the front from what I remember was $40 a night. I loved the decor in the hotel, it was so unique. The lobby bar was my favorite or the Nami bar. This is a great hotel to come to for business or leisure and is also located very close to all the parks, I would say about a 20-30 minute drive. There are many different restaurants dispersed all over the property and the hospitality was always amazing in all departments. the breakfast and lunch spot on the second floor Garni was also a great option located on the second floor next to the pool. The rooms at this hotel might be the best rooms I've ever experienced at any hotel. They have super high tech toilets which includes a bidet, heated toilet seats, and hands free concept. The beds are super comfortable and the showers are huge with high pressure shower heads. The water gets super hot which is something I noticed many hotels do not offer. I did not get the chance to experience the spa and gym area, but I did hear many great things so make sure you check it out! Another point I want to mention, the room service was super cool and all from the control of an iPad in each room with menus, live service, maps, etc... We ordered wine bottle service from the iPad and it came so quick with an ice bucket and glasses. I will definitely be coming back, what a great experience. read more

My husband and I have stayed in thousands of hotels over our lifetime and this one is top-notch. I was so excited to be able to give them a 5-star (as I rarely, if ever, do) due to their hospitality, state-of-the art room and overall ambience. The toilet was technologically amazing. What dropped them from a 5 to a 4 star was while the cold water was fine, the hot water trickled out of the faucet. I discussed this with the front desk and asked that it be repaired the next morning as we arrived late in the day. The next morning I verified that a service ticket had been put in and was told it had been. I also stated that our privacy light was on as we did not want housekeeping that day but that the maintenance person could come into the room. We left for the day and came back to the room around 6 pm. The faucet had not been repaired. I went to the front desk and they stated our Privacy light was on for which I reminded them that I specifically stated that it was okay to enter. Long story short by the time we left it was still not fixed. Lastly, while there are 3 restaurants on site, outside of a salad a couple of appetizers, there were no vegetarian options as a main course so we ended up leaving the property to find a restaurant that could provide us a veggie main course. Again, I had hoped to give the Wave a 5 star because it is a wonderful hotel and do recommend it; however, our issues effected our stay. read more

After dining at Nami, my best friend and I decided to tour the hotel. We started off by walking through the art sculpture garden outside and we stumbled upon what appeared to be flowers that were left behind from a party. The party planner offered us to take some flowers home so she can clear the area so we happily accepted. We took our bouquet of flowers to the bar and had some cocktails and made our way upstairs to another bar where they were playing music. Mt friend told me there was a a cover charge and a minimum drink order but the bouncers just let us right in without paying. I mean, I don't see why they would charge a cover fee at a hotel. Or maybe they saw our bouquet of flowers and thought we were at the party from outside. Or maybe it's because we're women and Fridays are free for ladies night? Who knows! The wave hotel is gorgeous! It was giving me Miami South Beach vibes with all the decor and bright colors and of course with all the attractive men and women there. Hopefully the next time I come, I'll be a guest in one of their rooms. From what I've heard, their rooms are really spacious and their roof top pool is worth checking out. read more

Love visiting this hotel over and over and when in Lake Nona, we are always here. We actually start from the back first bc of the sculpture garden that we are utterly obsessed with. Day and night it's a beautiful site. They have a bar there too and sometimes music and events. That is also an area to host a private event. Inside this hotel lobby area, it's so welcoming to all, there are several restaurants here, and a bar and music, and everything inside is very artsy and decorated with lots of love. There is tons of seating to hang out and it's very lively. You can park across the street in the garage or we walk from the Lake Nona Town center or Boxi Park which are easily walkable on a very lush walk way with lights The only drawback is that you can hear the airplanes soaring above, but that also means it's very close to the airport. It's also close to Disney World, but you would still have to drive. read more

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Wave Hotel Lake Nona. I booked a room to celebrate my girlfriend with a surprise room decoration. The decorator did a great job, and the setup turned out exactly as planned. Unfortunately, my experience with the hotel afterward was the complete opposite. After checkout, I was informed that I was being charged a $500 damage fee in addition to my security deposit because the hotel claimed the ceiling was damaged when the decorations were removed. However, the decorations were removed by hotel staff, not by me or my decorator. Based on the information I received, the damage allegedly occurred during the removal process by their own employees, yet I was still held financially responsible. To make matters worse, I requested to see the photos of the ceiling after the decorations were removed so I could understand what happened, but I was told those photos could not be shown to me. It's frustrating to be charged such a significant amount without being allowed to review the evidence supporting the claim. There were also issues during my stay where the hotel incorrectly stated that I was a no-show and even attempted to cancel my second room, despite me being checked in and present at the hotel. That situation was unnecessary and added even more stress to what was supposed to be a special occasion. I understand that accidents can happen, but I expected transparency, fairness, and better customer service when trying to resolve this issue. Instead, I felt dismissed and left responsible for a charge that I don't believe was handled appropriately. I hope management takes the time to review situations like this more carefully in the future and improves how they communicate with guests when disputes arise. The security staff member was rude and unprofessional during our interaction. When I asked questions about the unnecessary and unfair fees being charged for the room damage, he responded with comments such as, "I'm not going back and forth with you," and "I can't give you any money." I was simply trying to understand the charges, but instead of answering my questions respectfully, he dismissed my concerns. I believe customers deserve to be treated with courtesy and provided with clear explanations regarding any fees. read more

Amazing addition to the Lake Nona community. Although we are locals, we love to visit the living room lounge and restaurants like Nami, not forgetting the upstairs lounge on Friday and Saturday nights are upscale and vibey. It is a pricier experience than most but worth it for the location. The hotel and surroundings is always clean and well kept. It's nice to stroll the garden at night time and grab a cocktail. What a great addition to the Lake Nona area! This is the cutest boutique hotel. I visited on Thanksgiving day. I was able to park close by for free in the parking garage (there is a valet available, and it is 50% valet if you dine at Bacán). I explored the lobby and loved looking at all the unique and eye-catching decor! My favorite piece was the melted lollipop. Also, the whole hotel smells AMAZING! My friend and I couldn't stop talking about the scent. We explored the sculpture garden, and it was beautiful. I think the swing tables are really cool. I can't wait to come back when the Christmas pop-up bar is going on. We had several cocktails at the hotel lobby bar. The bartender was very helpful and made delicious drinks. The bar in the lobby is a great place on the weekend to listen to live music and have a few drinks. I've been to Bacan for a special anniversary dinner and their attention to detail was wonderful. I've also been to Nami for Valentines dinner and they knocked it out the park. On another occasion I went to The Nectar Room for a date night and that was absolutely fun and whimsical the sculpture gardens out back are wonderful to stroll in the evenings and the whole vibe at the hotel is really fun and upscale. Each plate only gets bigger as the courses continue. Each plate was absolutely delicious. Truly crafted by culinary geniuses. There was nothing bland or "basic" about any of the courses. My favorite was the scallop and steak dish. These dishes were not only so fun to look at and smell, the textures and flavors that were chosen were incredibly complimentary. I am endlessly impressed with this beautiful hotel! I have frequented here many times both as a guest with a room, for the restaurants, for drinks, and for events. It is STUNNING and I genuinely think it's THEE spot in Lake Nona for a girls night out if you plan to take photos and want to dress up, look nice, and hits enjoy a different environment than the usual. You can check out the live music downstairs in the main area in the evenings, there's a bar right there as well as ample seating with really interesting and pretty artwork all over the walls, with unique furniture and all around fun vibe. You can also head upstairs just past that area to where you'll see a GORGEOUS cherry blossom tree (could be the wrong name for the tree but nonetheless) and a really pretty spot to take photos, relax and socialize a little away from the bustle of the downstairs bar and music. If you venture to the restaurants whether it just be for drinks or food, you will not be disappointed because they are ALL jaw droppingly gorgeous and you'll literally never want to leave. Outside in the back there is a garden area with incredible artwork and impressive sculptures, seating areas, etc and they often times have events or little pop up bars back there so there's really never a dull moment. This is a 10/10 location and a must-do (but plan to loosen the purse strings for anything you drink or eat, as a nice heads up!) read more

Daily housekeeping was on point! They would even text me if I forgot to turn off the do not disturb, to ask if I wanted to bypass and have the room cleaned. There's also tons to do including on site yoga classes in their garden, Boxi Park next door which features different food vendors & live entertainment, as well as farmers markets & restaurants within walking distance. The hotel itself is very appealing and unique, a hallmark of any boutique hotel which Wave does perfectly. Everyone, from the valet team to the check-in staff to the housekeeping staff, is very nice and hospitable. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and offer some unique features such as a heated toilet with a lid that opens/closes on its own. The food quality is amazing the fruit salad I got at the pool was like a tropical resort. The pool is cute and the outside sculpture garden is great my daughter loved the swings. We arrived pretty early and they were able to accommodate an early check in which was amazing. Any time room service was needed it was super quick and friendly. This parking garage is well thought out and makes finding a spot effortless! Had to park here for an event. I love the green and red light system, which lets you see open spaces without having to drive down every row. It saves so much time and makes parking stress-free. I absolutely love this hotel. The decor is beautiful, bright, artsy, modern and full of vibes. Within the hotel are different restaurants. We ate lunch at the Haven kitchen upstairs. And joined the Haven lounge at night (which is in the back of the Haven kitchen) and enjoyed both. The food and service were great at both. The vibes at the lounge were fun, with great music. Now the room! I absolutely loved it. The view was breathtaking and the room was technologically advanced, such as the automated toilet and the automated curtains that just opened on its own when we walked in. We loved our room, restaurants at the hotel were really good (loved Bacán and it's tasting menu), sculpture garden is a great feature for events or just a romantic stroll after the meal, the pool and DJ made it real fun.
