Some people that frequent the spot, let their dogs become aggressive and don't curb or police them. Others , are blindly yapping away when their animal is pissing and crapping in the play area and fail to clean it up like you are supposed to like us responsible owners do. Most people are friendly but, it is mainly for more than one person. They have TV's but, there is so much activity where they are located that it is hard to focus. If you are alone it can be boring except for the fact your dog is enjoying it (which I guess is the point!) The bar used to be hit or miss but has improved. While a I know this isn't a place you should be going to get tipsy even , I mean I get it , it's a dog park but when I have ordered a shot or two of whiskey with my beer , I was really ripped off more than a couple times by two specific people. The bar manager is great and I think she corrected the light pours, which is great because the alcohol there isn't cheap. I'm not ragging on the bartenders though - all of them are nice and polite. I have only limited experience with the Doggy Daycare and while I don't know what actually goes on back 'there' my dog seemed to be happy when picked up. I will say one of the young ladies who normally checks me in young, with mid-length blonde hair was not very friendly. It was like 8AM and it's Doggy Day Care and isn't cheap , probably be a bit friendlier to the customers. Other than that , it's a decent place to enjoy an afternoon with a beer, or not, while your pup plays and socializes with other dogs. Just wish some owners would be more attentive of their dogs behavior - most are! Recommend checking this place out.

No communication with your dog being there with them while you are traveling. If you are looking for a place to board your dog go somewhere else!

I appreciate that they offer later hours on weeknights, and they ALWAYS fit us in, even if it's close to closing time. That's usually when our dog seems to have issues, too, when our usual vet is already closed. No matter who we have seen--or at what time--we have received exceptional care at NMAH. So far, we've seen Dr. David James, Dr. Paul Kritzinger, Dr. Schaff (now retired), Dr. Kimberly Renehan, Dr. Rachel Spickler, Dr. Katie Blackard, and Dr. Anna Shaffer. The doctors are extremely thorough, and we always leave feeling like JoJo has been well cared for. They are also great about emailing us visit summaries and aftercare instructions, and they share details of our visits with our usual vet to ensure communication of her treatment plans. Even NMAH's technicians and front desk staff are wonderful. Everyone is just so warm and compassionate, and they understand the urgency of our situations. We highly recommend NMAH!

I have been to 3 so far; the first two were nice, but didnt particularly stand out. Fortunately, Dr Holland did at North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital. I have brought in 2 of my cats so far, and each time Dr Holland has been great with them, and has researched info on medications and options with specialists both for my cats with FIP and with eye issues; both visits, he was understanding about pricing concerns and gave options that I felt were fair and helpful, including thorough emails with additional info and follow up. The office is impeccably clean and the staff very kind. I have passed his info on to the rest of the family, and finally feel that we've found our new vet.

Your staff, by far, was underwhelming and I felt so sorry for the dogs who looked like they were craving attention and love from your handlers. I did not see any offered, except by one person who gave attention to a small dog who was with the little dog group. I actually saw the opposite with handlers removing dogs from their laps and holding their arms away from dogs who only wanted affection. I saw dogs being sprayed with water bottles from behind, I saw a dog being sprayed just because he came close to a handler to get attention. I saw handlers basically just sitting and I saw dogs sitting. I saw a black dog being bullied, rolled, and pinned as the staff did nothing. One staff member walked by the poor black dog being pinned and just looked straight ahead. I consider this to be negligence. I personally thought this dog was too small to be with large dogs. (I hope the owner of this dog was watching on the webcam). I saw no engagement by staff, and it was just so sad because the dogs clearly wanted physical petting. I saw handlers on their phones, and they flat out looked like they'd rather be anywhere other than with dogs. I saw many of the dogs standing or sitting because the handlers were sitting or walking around in circles picking up dog feces.. We go to a different doggy daycare regularly where the handlers run, and play and engage the dogs and the dogs run and play and they're happy. Maybe consider modeling after them? The only reason we came here was because our regular place gets very popular in the summer. These dogs did not look happy. This place seems to take unlimited number of dogs. I couldn't believe the number of dogs I saw in one group. Insane! We didn't come get our dog sooner from your facility because we were working. I do believe these dogs deserve better attention from handlers based on what their owner's pay for quality care. These handlers from what I could clearly see on the webcams (in every play yard) acted like the dogs were an annoyance to most of the time. Take your dog elsewhere. I took pictures for further reminder to us to not return.

Our experience wasn't stellar, although I'm sure this service works well for some. First of all,…read morethe owners customer service is good, and she clearly cares about dogs and her business. It just didn't work for us. And I've learned that my experience is rarely unique so if this helps someone who has similar situation here we go: We have a puppy that has some people fear, she's a rescue. She does ok if strangers don't reach for her head and they allow her to approach them first. Otherwise she'll growl and back away. (We met her sister when they were almost a year old and the sister was much worse. We have had our dog in training and she's improved drastically). Anyway, this service was going to come take our dog for walks. Robin was not available, although she came over to meet and assess first before approving us as clients, and so she had a younger girl that was working for her come over. This girl seem like she loves dogs and she did not seem uncomfortable with our pups anxiety so we allowed her to take the dog for a walk one morning, and we would be out when she returned but she was to let us know how it went. We didn't hear anything back until we sent repeated texts that day then heard from the owner that "something happened" and it didn't go well, But she knew nothing else. We were really worried since this was one of the first times a virtual stranger walked our dog for us. The girl didn't got back to us nor did the owner until the next day! I finally tracked the girl down and she said she was uncomfortable walking our pup- it didn't go well because she growled at someone and pull on the leash on the walk. well I was really relieved it wasn't something worse, but fully annoyed that she gave us zero feedback and let us just wonder and then seem to be really flaky. I can handle my dog although it's my first because the trainer explained to me how you teach a dog to walk on a leash and what to do when the dog growls or try to chase a squirrel. To me these are kind of basic dog things but this girl was unsettled. She told us she could not walk our dog anymore because she lunged on the leash etc. I am very inexperienced and I'm able toWalk my dog. Or if a problem arises I can predict/solve it with my very little training. This girl decided that the dog would be without behavior issues if we let her have free roam of the house. That is the opposite of what our trainers who have been doing it for 25 years and other friends with dogs have saidOur puppy does well in predictable routine's and experiences. She has a large penned area in the kitchen when we are not homeand she's allowed to freely roam the large kitchen and the backyard. But she's a puppy and has accidents and chews so we're certainly not going to let her roam the house on her own. I pursued this line of thinking but I didn't get any satisfying answers. My overall experience is that this service is quite amateur although loving. So might be right fit for the right owners and the right dog. Incidentally, with a little more searching we found the right puppy play groups and walkers for our very good but fearful pup.
