Park Academy is located on South Shore Blvd in Lake Oswego, about ten minutes south of downtown Portland. Park Academy is accredited by the Northwest Accreditation Commission (AdvancED) and is a designated Subscriber School with Pacific Northwest Association of Independent Schools (PNAIS). These organizations provide both program oversight and professional development resources. My Son graduated from Park Academy and I can't thank them enough for the educational opportunity they provided him. I also got involved as a school parent and it was a joy to be part of Piper Park's educational vision.

The struggles she was having in the public schools were more than they were prepared for. Ridicule was beginning because of her falling behind. School was becoming a nightmare for her. The lack of resources available made it a downward spiral. Park has the resources. The knowledge. Teachers that are prepared to handle the needs of kids with learning difficulties. The teacher ratio is a vast improvement. No child is left behind because they are encouraged. They are stimulated to learn and explore.

There was no support from onsite staffing or management. An Amazon delivery person brought in a package on my 3rd day. I asked him exactly 3 questions... on the third question, he loudly stated that he would just put refused and combative on this delivery and walked out. He then lodged an online complaint. That complaint was apparently enough to terminate my Director's position without being able to defend myself, speak on my behalf, or comment. The site is dirty, most of the staff are clueless outside of their niche positions, and leadership is not supportive or caring. While in my tenure many students and staff complained about the lackluster and dying company, no support from leadership, and the absence of the owner.

Every student has been kind, professional and comforting. I appreciate the comfort level because getting laser removal for a tattoo can be uncomfortable. I've gone four times going on 5 now. I spent the first year of removal with another business and they left scarring. Northwest Tualatin has been a 10/10 experience compared to my last. Also, it is affordable compared to most places! In March 2025, a female was verbally assaulted and threatened on the premises. Immediately following the assault, the incident was reported to the club's manager. The club's general manager's response was inadequate, and no consequences were applied to the aggressor. The individual who committed the assault (0b1r2i3@4n 0b1*2@3r4d0) is still permitted to remain at the club, thus posing a continued threat to other members. The victim finds the club management's disregard for their safety and well-being appalling. The management's negligence in addressing this serious matter was deemed inexcusable. The club management suggested the victim file a police report, but did not expel the aggressor. The victim asserts that the club fosters a male-dominated culture where violations of the code of conduct are ignored. The general manager's inaction is seen as indicative of their priorities, which, in the victim's opinion, do not include the safety and care of their members. The victim advises against trusting the general manager of the WAMclub, who swept the assault incident under the rug and acts as if nothing has happened -https://www.wamclubs.com/contact. In general, the club members are nice and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, a few bad actors have downgraded the club's moral standards. It's a shame.
