At 59 years old. The best dentist I have ever been to, by far. If you have anxiety about going to the dentist. This is your nexus for overcoming it. I believe on a scale of 1 to 10. My anxiety is about a 9. Not just from pain etc. Also my teeth are not the best and I feel embarrassed. Instead of judgment or silence. I received understanding and empathy. Through out the procedure, my pain was constantly there first concern. I was given multiple additional shots as they said, it turns out my canine was a "hot" tooth. The chair massaged me and Amber brought me a glass of water and a heated neck wrap. She even brought my wife back, who was waiting in the lobby; while I was getting numb. She was a very proactive and thoughtful assistant. Doctor Cook was a complete professional and her chair side manner was top shelf. This dental office is set apart from the rest and above them all, in it's own league. If you are on the fence and putting off going to the dentist because of anxiety. At first glance, Lake Park Dental has a meticulously clean and bright feel. Exposed cream brick and sliding barn like doors aren't the only praised part of this business. As a new patient, I noticed the professionalism, urgency, accuracy, and accommodation of staff. Coverage and price were specifically denoted. This is my dentist! They moved recently to a new location giving them more room to breath and serivce us, the customers. Dr. Graham and her team are so personable. They are all young professionals which is refreshing to see and also makes going to the dentist not so bad. My last dentists were ancient so seeing the spirit of youth in dentistry is cool. It was time for a change. Sometimes you don't know what you're missing if you stick with the same doc for years on end. I found Lake Park thanks to a post on Facebook that someone had a great experience and I was convinced. Kendall at the front desk was extremely welcoming and helpful over email. I appreciate that I was able to get everything squared away over email. Dr. Heitke is really sweet as well. She is friendly, caring, nice and made me feel very comfortable. Oh, and the office is modern and stylish. Not like your typical stuck in the late 80s - early 90s decor. I appreciate that! I'm glad I made the switch... You should think about it too! read more

I've gone to Lake Park Dental since I moved to Milwaukee in 2013 (so, about 10 years!), and I can honestly say I never enjoyed the dentist until I met Dr. Meggie Graham. She is SO personable, professional, and informative. Truly, I feel like I am educated every time I see her and have a much greater appreciation for my teeth, both aesthetically and hygienically. Such an incredibly pleasant experience for a dentist visit. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The space is very nice and comforting. I've never been at a dentist that has massaging chairs and heated neck pads, either. And the service itself was far superior to my previous dentists. I have always felt like I wasn't quite sure what was really going on with my teeth until a problem arose. I don't have a phobia about going to the dentist, but it's definitely something I neglect. So I was nervous about going after a few years away (gross, I know). I was expecting lectures and finger-wagging and judgement, the whole nine yards. And you know what? I got NONE OF IT. They were amazing. Dr. Graham has some super cool technology that helped me see exactly what needed to be done. They were totally up front about costs and accommodating about spacing out my appointments so that payment would work for me. Dr. Graham's staff are all delightful, friendly, and considerate. I appreciate being offered an iPod while they worked on my teeth -- but as it turned out, I really didn't need any distraction, because there was nothing unpleasant about the experience. In fact, my last appointment ended up costing less than I had anticipated, because Dr. Graham opted to keep an eye one one possible trouble spot instead of doing a filling when it might not be necessary. I really appreciate that. I love Lake Park Dental and their adorable office, and would be delighted to recommend it to anyone. The thing I love about Lake Park Dental is that every time I go for a cleaning and a check-up, it is almost like going to a resort....a little get away. Who actually likes going to the dentist?! Fingers everywhere, hygienists asking you questions as you have (sometimes sharp) tools in your mouth, that gritty toothpaste, the fluoride that makes you borderline gag? All of this is awful, but Lake Park Dental has a way of making you feel at ease, believe it or not. All the staff are great, from Kendall at the reception desk, to the hygienists, all the way to Dr. Heitke. Scheduling your appointment, your actual appointment, payment, any sort of follow-up, is literally a breeze. That's unheard of, if I must say. As a patient, I find Lake Park Dental to be very inviting, trustworthy, clean, and thoughtful. Some doctors are in and out before you even catch their name, but Dr. Heitke takes the time to ask lots of questions. She is very personable. For instance, she commented on my hair color from a year ago! I can barely remember what shade it was a year ago! It goes to show how caring the environment is, and each patient isn't just a number. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is due to pricing. It seems that Lake Park Dental is a little more costly than some other locations; however, you definitely get your money's worth! One of my front teeth was shorter than the other and it made me self conscious. I had talked to several other dentists and orthodontists and have never had a proper solution. Dr. Graham made it clear that would not be the case with her. She made time in her busy schedule to have me come in on my lunch and fixed it until I was satisfied. After a nightmare dental experience a year prior with a different clinic, I told myself I wasn't going to cheap out on my mouth and go to a clinic that had great reviews regardless of cost. I am self employed and recently out of school so I was going to have to pay out of pocket. They were so accommodating towards me and didn't treat me any differently when I was asking questions about pricing. This is highlighted by the fact that the office is so nice you'd anticipate judgement but there was none! Super nice staff, very involved, indulged me in all the learning I wanted to do and questions I'd had for a long time about the dental and orthopedic care I'd gotten in the past. I knew more about my mouth in a few hours than in my entire life. They prioritize preventative care and this to me is the most important part. The nightmare dentist I had a year ago told me I had some odd 5-12 super high number of cavities. I held my breath as they were giving me the verdict at Lake Park and guess what! No cavities! They explained to me some preventive options for me since I grind my teeth and were again super kind and reassuring about pricing and to not feel bad if I needed to space out the appointments because nothing was pressing. Excellent experience! I broke a Veneer while traveling in Milwaukee for work and was referred to Lake Park by my dentist in Boston. They were able to get me in and fix me up right away to restore my smile. Dr. Graham and her team were all so warm and welcoming it felt like I had been a patient there for years. I moved to Milwaukee in 2011 and being new in town I needed a good family dentist. My dentist in MN (Tangletown Dental) was the absolutely best dental practice in the state. It was a true family dental practice. Dr. Ike and his staff were very personable. I found a dentist in Shorewood, but it was not the same. After about a year of not having any dental work done - I was ready for some dental help. I live on the Eastside by downer. I walked past Lake Park Dental many a times going to the CVS store kitty corner from there. Until one day I decided to stop in and schedule an appointment. It is the best decision I ever made. I called my old dentist and got my records sent to Dr. Graham and I have been with them ever since. As a patient, I find Lake Park Dental to be very inviting, trustworthy, organized, and thoughtful. You will love the modern technology that Dr. Graham is using in the practice (I work in IT..I couldn't resist it). Some doctors are in and out before you even catch their name, but Dr. Graham takes the time to ask lots of questions. She is very personable and sweet. For instance, she spilled some solution by mistake into my nose while putting some fillings on my teeth! It stung like the dickens! What did she do? She stopped everything examined my nose and asked me if i wanted to blow my nose.... Oh, I also hate needles and I have to say that when Dr. Graham uses them on me....she is soo gentle and smooth that I never feel a thing...It goes to show how caring the environment is, and each patient isn't just a number. Just had two fillings done today and never felt a thing. This is a lot coming from me as I am severely claustrophobic and scared of dentists - I NEVER FELT A THING. Also they only had to stop 2 times for me - that's how comfortable I felt. And I still don't feel like I had anything done. Dr. Graham and her associates in the office are absolutely wonderful! Angie was very thorough with my cleaning and explained everything that she was doing. Dr. Graham was amazing and was considerate about my comfort level during my exam. She definitely appreciates that some people are nervous about getting dental work and she went above and beyond to make sure that I was ok the whole time. She did some reshaping of my front teeth to make them more cosmetically pleasing and I love the results. In just a couple of hours, and with some small changes she totally improved my smile.
