Terrible pace of play. Within arrival they mentioned they were running "a bit behind" but pull up to the marshal and they're three groups behind 15 minutes after our scheduled tee time. To management: fix pace of play or stop being greedy and booking 9 minute tee time intervals. Even worse is they charge absurd prices. Don't book here. read more

As other reviewers have noted, the pace of play here is ridiculously bad. We booked a tee time for shortly after 3:00pm and they were running 3 groups behind. The starter didn't seem to care or make any effort to keep things moving on time. And the front nine took just under 3 hours. We gave up at the turn, 3 and a half hours after our scheduled tee time and with no hope of finishing 18. The course is in good shape and the greens are quick. But it's not worth the hassle, given other options in the DMV area with similar conditions and decent management. read more

Wouldn't recommend, we booked a tee time for 11:50, i don't know what time the other groups were scheduled for but once we got to the first hole 2 groups were at the tee boxes, we didn't start until 40 minutes after our tee time and were stuck waiting an extra 10 minutes after every hole for them to finish. Everything is so insanely expensive for how poor of an experience it was. It was $16 for two small hot dogs, $9 for two mini gatorade's. It's really a shame because we were looking forward to this course it's truly a beautiful course just so expensive for such a terrible experience honestly. this used to be an exceptional course are OK but course management is awful. The last four times I've played. It's taking me over five hours to finish a team. They let too many groups out without enough time between them. There is no and last week I had a group of five in front of me. It took me three hours to play nine holes. The course is fun and challenging and even for a late season round it was in very good condition. HOWEVER... the pace of play was atrocious. We teed off on a Friday at 10:20am and quit after 9 holes that took us almost 3 hrs to complete. The need to hire a marshal to make slower golfers keep pace. It is a nice course with a challenging layout and is fun to play. The issue is that the pace of play is ridiculously slow. The front 9 took us 2 hours and forty minutes. What makes it worse, is that there are no marshals and no attempt by the Course mgmt to speed up play. Their reputation for super-slow play is accurate and well deserved. What a nice facility and course in PG County. This course is tucked into the Beechtree residential development and well worth your time to check it out. They have a large driving range, a small chipping/pitching area, a practice putting green, and a wonderful 18 hole course. The property is very picturesque; I love going after working to get in 9 holes before sunset or get in some practice. The great: 1) They offer a monthly development program called "PDP" - you pay $76 a month to have several benefits including free balls at the range anytime, access to a members only range (with covered hitting areas), $20 rounds of golf anytime after 2pm, discounted rounds of golf most other times, and discounts in the pro shop. You make your money back in 4ish trips to the range alone - add in a round or two throughout the month and you've made out like a bandit. I signed up for PDP this month and it's really been great. The good: 1) The course is really nice, but also very challenging. The fairways and greens are always in very solid shape. The are some very picturesque holes that make for a lovely round of golf. The course is very hilly and aggressively sloped which adds to the challenge. If you can survive a round here, you'll be great at other places. 2) The staff are really friendly and helpful. After visiting just 3-4 times in may, quite a few already know my name and exchange pleasantries as I walk around the property. 3) Small detail but I love that golf carts have touch screens that offer information/distance about the hole you're on. Don't need a range finder when one is built into the cart. Needs improvement: 1) The range itself is spacious and I like that there are no mats (makes the practice translate to the course). The hitting area is often littered with divots which makes it hard to find a clear surface for my own practice. Secondly, not having distance markers on the range flags is a real drawback - it's difficult to tell the distance of my clubs (for more accurate play on the course). Pro tip: - Course and facilities are nice and open on Mondays - Wednesdays as well as Sunday mornings. Be prepared for longer rounds if you visit on Thurs-Sundays. I recommend a quick round on evening weekdays (My foursome got 18 holes in on a Monday evening 4:30p - 7:45ish). read more

Course was well maintained from the few holes we got to play on Memorial Day. 2.5 hours to play 4 holes is outrageous. While waiting on the 5th hole for 3 groups in front of us (also 3 behind us) to tee off I called clubhouse to see if we could get a rain check to play another evening...nope! Zero consideration for the mismanagement on a holiday. No ranger visible and little to know communication while on the course from the clubhouse (outside of messages saying we were 35 mins behind pace...which we couldn't do anything about with so many groups in front of us. Stopped into the clubhouse to voice frustrations after skipping the 5-9 holes and got no explanation on why the massive back up. I would tend to believe due to their twilight rate they allowed way too many groups to play and knew anyone teeing off after 3pm would never come close to finishing 12 holes let alone 18. Might never come back to this course again. Ridiculous!! read more

his place is joke. They are unreliable no one here cares about customers. I drove here straight from work to get some range work in, have a golf trip on Sunday. Arrived at 6:40. People are inside said they shut down at 6:30. They just wanted to leave early, poorly run. I offered to pay cash so that they didn't have to give me charge I just wanted to hit some balls. No one here understands how to run a course properly. I've tried to give them the benefit of the doubt over the past few years but I'm done, tee times too close together and this caused major pave of play issues, they charge way to much for how poor the course condition is, traps are not well kept. These are all symptoms of a business that does not care about their customers. I use to play here a few times a year. I've brought different people here for professional business outings. I've taken lessons here and the pro that use to teach moved on due to their poor customer service as well. They just don't care, do yourselves favor and go anywhere but here because your only supporting a company that does not care about its customers. read more

This is in great shape and the prices are very fair for what you get. This is one of the better courses in Prince George's County. The course is hilly, challenging, and picturesque. I will agree with some of the other reviewers in that it was annoying that the carts kept cutting off but I understand the reason why. I also agree that several places were very steep and an accident waiting to happen. Overall, I had a great time and I will definitely return soon. read more

TERRIBLY RAN GOLF COURSE, PLEASE BE AWARE!!! DO NOT PLAY HERE EVEN IF ITS YOUR LAST OPTION!!!! My group had a 10:00 AM tee time but didn't tee off until 10:45 due to a severe backup on the course. Unfortunately, this wasn't an isolated incident as this exact same delay happened when I played here a year ago. There weren't any marshals helping to speed up play. I spoke with other golfers who reported the same experience just last weekend. After finally teeing off, we endured a grueling 6 hour round. If you're planning to play this course on a weekend, expect to be there for at least 7 hours beyond your scheduled time. To make matters worse, we stopped at the clubhouse at the turn to grab two pre-made chicken salad sandwiches from the fridge--$11 each. When I went to pay, the bartender charged me $28. Apparently, there's a $5 service fee added, even though I retrieved the sandwiches myself. That left a bad taste, figuratively and literally. I don't enjoy writing negative reviews, but I feel it's important to set realistic expectations for others. The one bright spot was the course conditions. The greens were in decent shape. Credit to the greenskeeping crew for their hard work. Unfortunately, everything else about this experience rates a 0 out of 5 in my book. read more

Great golf course but it is slow, too many just walk on without paying, there are always singles playing and rarely is there a Ranger or Starter. Today was extremely slow and when we were on the 8th Hole, a Ranger (who obviously did not know his job) shows up and said that the Course is always backed up on weekends and suggested that we not come on weekends. The real problem is that nothing is monitored and many take advantage of the lack of management. I have complained entirely too many times to Management and nothing changes. The Member's side also has problems because it is not properly managed and it is frustrating and unfair to those of us that pay and follow the rules. Not recommended! read more

*** Clubhouse Only*** I've not played this course but have been here quite a few times for networking events. The food has been fairly pedestrian...with the usual stuff.... eggs, sausage, bacon, etc ..various juices, etc. Love the views and smell of the lobby. I think they put stuff in the vents like many car dealerships are doing these days to make you think somebody with a FABULOUS fragrance just walked through in front of you. Good location. The clubhouse is the first thing you see upon arrival to this PG gem. The practice area is to left of the clubhouse. Once inside the views of the lake & 18th hole is is magnificent. They have a nice bar & dining area. We enjoyed the twilight rate for our round of 9. Because of aeration on the front nine, we played the back nine. The course is very hilly, so walking isn't an option. The course is in good shape. The course is challenging with some deep bunkers and tricky greens. Hole 18 gives you fabulous views of the lake & clubhouse. I look forward to playing this course again. read more

The fairways and tee boxes were in bad shape something you would expect from a cheap public course. The food options were limited because the chef did not show up on their busiest day. I felt cheated out of 112$ . I could have played several MGC courses for far less that are in better condition . ENTERPRISE GC is in better condition. This is a great course the people are very nice, the only problem I do have with this course are the holes you can't ride a cart on like 18 it's a par 5 once you hit the ball across the pond it's all hills I'm handicap it hurts to walk up and down the steep hills. The cart path it's at the top of the hill and the fairway is below there are few other holes like this, I know on 18 they could move the cart path to the bottom run it down the left side along the water or Let people with handicaps be able to ride. Or get the new carts with digital screens that allow people to ride on the course in specific areas only and those with handicap get different areas to ride on and when you leave the area the cart tells you to return to your area and it shuts down and moves very very slow until you return to the area your allowed to be in. I would love to come back but to pay $89 and when I finish playing I can hardly walk because my feet hurt it's not worth it I'll go elsewhere where they allow me to ride on the course. The bar and restaurant are still closed. They need to upgrade there carts none of them even have usb plugs to keep phones charging. read more

The Marshall helped keep pace of play on a busy Saturday One small critique would be the small menu offered at the turn (hot dog/chips/pre-packaged foods only). Sandwiches would be a great add! Review is for the "grill" for the deceiving 20% grat is automatically added on every bill BUT THE BARTENDER DOESNT TELL YOU!! So you end up double tipping @ 40%. This is so unethical to not tell your customers. Please train your staff to let your customers know service charge is included. You would never know as they don't provide an itemized recipy unless you ask. We're all suffering in these times of inflation and you don't need to run a business taking advantage of your patrons. Not to mention there's 3-4 very basic, mediocre, items on the food menu. read more

Don't go here. Haven't play the course in years thought our group would go back and have a good time. The course is in horrible condition. The whole course is diseased. Pace of play was 5 hours 20 minutes With no Marshall with the balls to do anything. Just a horrible experience. Don't waste your time going there. Worse experience on a golf course. Marshall was hounding us, and tried to make us tee off of ladies tees on 18. The group behind us was 2 holes back! I later found out the problem is with the head pro (Adam) and the Regional Manager (Chad). Been playing for 30 years, this ranks as the worst treatment of all time during that 30 years. We were always close to the group in front of us, and had to wait on them on 16, Marshal must not have know how to play golf, but Adam the head pro was far worst that him, and Chad had to have some puppet call me back that had nothing good to say. I guess they want these bad reviews. read more

Although decent amount of rain had been poured all day, they denied refund and kept saying come and play because they were open. Serious? How the mighty have fallen. I agree with many others in saying this place has gone downhill. When they opened years ago this was definitely one of my favorite tracks in the area. The layout is beautiful but tough. Played here last Friday and it looks like they have lost about a third of the greens; they are half mud, half grass. The rest of the greens are about to be lost too. Very inconsistent to putt on to say the least. They also sprayed the greens with dye/fertilizer so my once white putter is now blue-ish on the bottom. The fairways were in decent shape and the rough was fine too. Still a great layout but not worth what they are charging anymore. The practice green was basically in the same shape as the ones on the course, bad. The range was fine, but there weren't a lot of stations and you can only see golf balls that fly more than 120 yards. Not great for dialing in any wedges. They did have a TaylorMade studio on the other side that looked intriguing. Clubhouse was nice. The breakfast sandwich was delicious but the hotdog at the turn was terrible, definitely not worth any amount of money. Overall I'm disappointed. Most of the Raspberry Trail courses are in great shape and have great qualities to them. This one can easily join the others if their greens get back in shape. read more

the golf course was in good shape. no argument there. but the layout for playing is unacceptable. the Marshall yelled at anyone who had their cart 2" off the cart path, yelled at anyone who wasn't butted up to the next group and worst of all: the cart paths were 80% right side and every hole the path was a good 45-80 feet above the fairway and 30 feet away from the fairway. given my style of golf where i am more left side than right side - annoyingly annoying this meant you had to climb down a 25-50 degree hill that was impossible to know your club selection, you spent more time getting to your ball and walking back then playing golf. as a person who has had 2 back surgeries this was ridiculous and made for a frustrating day. read more

I'm a bit surprised at the previous reviews, since minis a few manageable negatives, I had a great time playing the course this past weekend. On the most important factor of a golf course review - the course itself - I found to be in very good condition and generally a fun course to play for the average golfer. Sure there were some greens that were still a bit aerated and bumpy and there definitely could've been a few more yardage markers, but overall, the course was in pretty good condition. I did see a lot of the comments focused on the service side of the course, which after playing I can kind of see. The main complaint I had about my experience was pace of play management. For some reason, they had let a five-some go out on the course...isn't that just a no-no? As a two-some playing after this group, there was definitely a bit too much waiting on a day when there weren't that many players on the course. This is definitely something the marshals need to manage...or just not let happen to begin with. So beyond that issue, which I guess isn't insignificant, I can't mind too many faults with Lake Presidential. Likely that I'll be back out, hopefully without an oversized group in front next time. read more

I played Lake Presidential this morning 0814/22, what a disappointment! 1. It was cart path only(Why?), we spoke to the starter about the cart path only rule, and he said it has been cart path only for the last 3 weeks. They don't tell you when you make the reservation it is a cart path only round. 2. The greens were horrible, very inconsistent! 3. Bunkers not raked, weeds everywhere, dirt patches on every hole. For $100.00+, the course and service should be much better. Not going there again! read more

Don't play there as I had horrible experience. The course turned from my favorite to worst experience Today I specially brought my friend there to play. In the past weeks, I went there at 6pm as the shop charged 30 dollar after 6. But today, the staff called Spence told me it was 40 dollar when I came in at 6:10pm. He said it was normal rate. The guy beside him called himself the manager. He told me that the shop charged you 30 dollar in the past because the guys then treated you nice so gave you a better deal. I was shocked. I played there several times and i was told to pay 30 dollar after 6. Every time. The golf shop was not professional and they easily adjusted the price as if it was seafood market. I felt bad to bring my friend there. I lost trust in this course as the people were rude and unprofessional. I don't recommend anyone to go as they would rip you off. read more

This was my first time at the course, and I'll say I was pleasantly surprised. The rates (albeit we were playing in twilight hours) were ok. I think I paid around $52 or so. The course was in really good shape, and I thought it was fairly challenging. I like a little tougher course and this place was pretty challenging to me. I played the Renditions course a few days later, and I would rather play here if given a choice. I just thought the course was nice, the rates were fair, and really had an enjoyable time. I would definitely recommend this course !!! read more

Place has gone down hill. Used to be well managed and maintained. Not any more. Tee times crammed together 7 minutes apart so today it was tracking 6 1/2 hour pace of play. Paid $100 for a terrible experience. Waste of money and time. read more
