    Golf time

Wouldn't recommend, we booked a tee time for 11:50, i don't know what time the other groups were scheduled for but once we got to the first hole 2 groups were at the tee boxes, we didn't start until 40 minutes after our tee time and were stuck waiting an extra 10 minutes after every hole for them to finish. Everything is so insanely expensive for how poor of an experience it was. It was $16 for two small hot dogs, $9 for two mini gatorade's. It's really a shame because we were looking forward to this course it's truly a beautiful course just so expensive for such a terrible experience honestly. We started at 11:50 and didn't finish until 5:45.

This is in great shape and the prices are very fair for what you get. This is one of the better courses in Prince George's County. The course is hilly, challenging, and picturesque. I will agree with some of the other reviewers in that it was annoying that the carts kept cutting off but I understand the reason why. I also agree that several places were very steep and an accident waiting to happen. Overall, I had a great time and I will definitely return soon.

*** Clubhouse Only*** I've not played this course but have been here quite a few times for networking events. The food has been fairly pedestrian...with the usual stuff.... eggs, sausage, bacon, etc ..various juices, etc. Love the views and smell of the lobby. I think they put stuff in the vents like many car dealerships are doing these days to make you think somebody with a FABULOUS fragrance just walked through in front of you. Good location. I'll try lunch someday soon.

The clubhouse is the first thing you see upon arrival to this PG gem. The practice area is to left of the clubhouse. Once inside the views of the lake & 18th hole is is magnificent. They have a nice bar & dining area. We enjoyed the twilight rate for our round of 9. Because of aeration on the front nine, we played the back nine. The course is very hilly, so walking isn't an option. The course is in good shape. The course is challenging with some deep bunkers and tricky greens. Hole 18 gives you fabulous views of the lake & clubhouse. I look forward to playing this course again.

    Bare patches near the fairways

The fairways and tee boxes were in bad shape something you would expect from a cheap public course. The food options were limited because the chef did not show up on their busiest day. I felt cheated out of 112$ . I could have played several MGC courses for far less that are in better condition . ENTERPRISE GC is in better condition. Too many bare patches is the fairway .

The Par 70 golf course is situated in the middle or amongst Avenel Farm, providing regal views of the residential, equestrian, swimming & tennis amenities. The landscape & upkeep was impressive throughout the golf course & surrounding greenery. The staff inside our tent were extremely hospitable, especially during the interment rain fall as they reset as many times necessary to accommodate everyone. The food & beverages were decent. I even popped my head into the Mad House to look around & the employees on hand were just as friendly. The only negative point of our visit was the interaction with the red shirt staff at the main entrance to the tourney if you did not have a parking pass...we opted to take Uber. Aside from their constant screaming that they work for the Tiger Woods Foundation, they were rude & boisterous to the Courtesy Shuttle Operators & individuals seeking assistance. Other than that, it was an enjoyable & entertaining 1st visit to watch championship golf.

After some research, I thought @GolfHouse would be a great first experience for him since they offer junior coaching and it's similar to a video game. When I emailed them with questions, they were the most quick and complete in response than any of the other Ashburn area courses. At this point we're 3 sessions in. Coach Ju Hee is very professional and confident, but has just the right style to keep my 10 year old engaged. In each session she has walked the line effectively between correcting swing issues and helping him understand how the game works, while also keeping it fun and engaging for him, which is probably the most important part at this point. The sessions involved 30 minutes of instruction and 30 minutes of free time in the bay which I'll sometimes use to take a few swings with my son. So far, this seems to be the right mix. Coach also shared the before/after swing photo I posted from session 2. While I'm not sure if other local coaches have this type of tech, I think this is a significant advantage because of the real-time feedback and insight it gives her into exactly what is happening. It's also great for us to see the progress he's making. Overall, I definitely would recommend @GolfHouse and Coach Ju Hee for lessons. At some point I'll probably book a bay with some of my friends who are more serious golfers during a lesson and see what they think about it.

And I think the more intimate and quiet nature of the scenery makes it the better choice. We recently visited for mini-golf with our 9yo, and we all had a blast! The course is nicely challenging for very amateur players like ourselves, but not too difficult to be frustrating. Everyone had a wonderful time. The course itself isn't the shiniest and might be due for some TLC. But, it's clearly been renovated over the years. It does not have decades of wear and tear showing. The tee-off pads looks fairly new, and the greens aren't tattered or anything. It's a nice escape for a family outing. Whether you need golf supplies, want to practice your drive, or fancy a round of putt-putt, this is a wonderful destination!

Course is in horrific condition. The greens are the worst. They are not cut down and completely beat up. You cannot even putt on them. The tee boxes aren't much better. Very bad shape. I could have spent another 20 bucks and played 9 holes on a regular course. After the first hole , I was going to go back for a refund. Rumor has it they are trying to rezone to build homes on this property. Now I understand why the Par 3 is going to pot and the batting cages are shut down.

They have some construction going on currently. A couple of holes are shortened due to the construction. Fairways are well maintained and greens were rolling well too. I had a great front nine, but plateaued in the back nine. It's not too difficult of a course as they don't have many penalties. Even if you don't drive straight, you could be in play to make a par.

Overall, I think I got what I paid for considering the lower rate. The course wasn't too crowded so I was able to check in at the pro shop within plenty of time for my round. The gentleman at the desk was really friendly and made some great conversations and made the both of us feel welcomed. We took some practice putts on the medium sized putting green for about 15 minutes then loosened up at the driving range. Personally, I wouldn't want to practice at this range for my day to day iron work - the mats were in pretty rough shape and the range didn't look extremely well maintained. The course itself was just okay - again, getting what I paid for. It wasn't an overly difficult course but there were definitely some holes that my partner and I struggled with. The greens seemed consistently maintained and the fairways were nice (not that my ball ended up there often). We did notice that the cart paths needed alot of work - lots of instances of broken pavement or rubble in the cart paths. We have to offroad several times just to drive on more even grounding. The snack shop/cafe was closed for the day it seems and there were very limited snack/drink options in the pro shop. We were hoping for a snack throughout the round but to our disappointment, there was also no cart vendor to sell us something quick. All in all, a fine afternoon playing a round - I would come back but only for the twilight special. I wouldn't want to pay for that $45 or so for the quality of course and amenities. A solid course for beginners to intermediate players.
