This just confirms my belief that these house inspections are pretty much worthless unless your a complete idiot or blind and can't see cracks in a concrete foundation etc. Gave him three stars because he did find that the date on the water heater was 20 years old which I would have found had I not been over a 1,000 miles from the house and did the inspection myself. Probably a good idea to have an inspection if you're not at all familiar with construction or don't want to be bothered by going online and print out your own inspection checklist and do it yourself. I've already recommended them to many others. I should say we spoke to three other contractors, two of whom showed up late or not at all for an estimate. Without us having to be there, they went out to measure, offered their thoughts on luxury vinyl flooring for the family room and baths and carpet for the two bedrooms. They also suggested the colors for both. All work was completed on time. We were able to go visit in mid December, and to see the results for the first time. After a couple days and 4 phone calls I got an estimate for asphalt shingles. I replied that the estimate I wanted was for metal, but to disregard because I was going with another company. Immediately I got a text from Jerry who apologized and said not to blame the company because it was his fault. I again said I was going with another company. He acknowledged, but then left me a voicemail like we had never talked or most likely he forgot that he sent out a estimate. Again wrong estimate and didn't even remember speaking to me. Seems very disorganized. If an estimate is that difficult, I cant imagine how the whole roofing process would go.

My husband & I met with a Rep from Roof Lux in Jan 2021, signed the contact and paid our half-down deposit on Feb 6th...bottom line, we are still waiting on our siding... upon signing we were told we would have siding in about 4 weeks, about 4 weeks later we were then given a start date of April 9th, we received a call right around the projected April start date and informed that our siding hadn't been ordered yet...and that it wouldn't be here until mid-June. We spoke with our Rep about other options, we spoke with the owners about other options and were assured (it was the beginning of May at this point) that he could get it done & that the siding would be here in 3-4 weeks. We finally received a call that siding was being delivered last Friday (June 4th.) We then received a call that they would plan to start on Wednesday (June 9th) with a subsequent call moving that start date to Thursday (June 10th)...today...and unfortunately we haven't seen or heard from anyone. We have been working with Roof Lux since February, our check was deposited in February...it's mid-June and we still have no siding. Times are busy, the construction industry is swamped, parts are hard to get...we get all of that, however this is extreme and due to poor business practices, not lack of product at this point.

All in all, I have to say I was pleased not just with he work they did But the price they did it for as well.
