Clean, warm in the summer, perfect spot for tubing or just floating around. Came here for the first time not knowing much about it but here's what you DO need to know: -bring sunblock -bring a floating device -fishing friendly (there's a dock just for it) -don't expect to find a nice area to sunbathe -dogs are welcome inside and outside of pond -no restrooms/changing area -plenty of parking (it's free!) -dock for tubing -kayak friendly -paddle boards too! -no shops -no food area -no drinking fountain -bug spray recommended I don't think I missed anything but that's your little wrap up. It's a lazy lake I'd say where you can just let yourself be carried away and float on your floatie. Fun spot for friends. Definitely bring drinks and food or at least a snack since there are no shops around. I totally get it that people are upset about the whole bathroom thing but truthfully it's a free pond, just drive up somewhere near by and that's it. It's ok to be a little outdoorsy sometimes just yeah, don't do it in the water lol.

A group of us had reserved a boat and captain for a few hours of waterskiing. We arrived on time…read morebut then sat around for an hour after we picked out our vests while the captain drove away and got gas, pulled the boat out of storage, prepped it, etc. They knew we were coming so why did it take them so long to get ready after we showed up? Then they told us that someone was coming in an hour for his session. We were baffled since we were supposed to have the boat to ourselves for a few hours, so even if he had gotten us on the water on time, was the new person supposed to wait at the dock for a couple of hours? The ride itself was fine, but cut short because they had someone waiting back at the dock. When we contacted the office afterwards to complain, they claimed that the ride was cut short because of safety reasons since a storm was approaching. Granted it was cloudy that day, but if it was because of a storm, then why did they take someone out immediately after our group disembarked? We love water sports and businesses that take you out waterskiing are few and far in between by NYC. Had they been professional, we would have been happy to have them be our go to place.

Charlie seems nice but notice he will never get on the phone especially when it comes to talking about money. They overcharged us to rescue a boat. Then gave us a verbal estimate of $750 to destroy our boat which then turned into a written estimate of $1700. When we said forget it they then told us they would start charging us storage charges of $36 a day!! Run far and run fast.

It also borders five towns: Danbury, New Milford, Brookfield, Sherman,and New Fairfield. This is a very popular place for all kinds of water sports, and bass and trout fishing. There are two state boat launches and many marinas for docking. The shoreline has so many magnificent homes, and don't be surprised if you see a seaplane landing or taking off on the lake. This lake usually gets very busy on the weekends in the summer.

Launch at Lattin's Cove was solid jammed and the number of rude idiots just simply ASTOUNDING. No courtesy for other boaters/pwc's whatsoever. Couple of morons were camped out on the dock and screwed up everyone else's put in/take out routine. No surprise to see the NJ and NY registrations on their PWCs. While coming back in, 3 idiots on PWC's came screaming past us in the no wake zone to "beat" us to the ramp, then they sat there blocking one side of the launch. One fellow asked nicely if they could move over just a bit so he could launch his pwc and he got snapped at by one of the tattoo queens... "we're leaving in a couple of minutes". Definitely will not go back here on a weekend anytime soon. Very sad because it never used to be like this.

Beautiful views , the sound of the water and trees all around. I saw a deer and many people picnicking in the grass. A lot of lantern flies unfortunately. I wish there was a way to get rid of them in a eco friendly manner because the trees don't deserve this haha! They had portopotties , a playground, and some food trucks. On a beautiful day this is a hidden gem not too far from the city.
