Visit was great. Got me in quick. Ladies were nice. Doctor was friendly and seemed to care about my issue. Afterwards is a disaster. First they did not send the prescription (they forgot?) so I had to wait an extra day as they were closed when I went to the pharmacy. Fine. Next day (Friday), I show up at pharmacy. There I'm shown the pharmacy was sent an unsigned prescription for a drug that the pharmacist said was rarely prescribed due to the amount of antibiotic. She then said a phone call had been made possibly lowering to the correct amount, but she never got an updated prescription. Even though it's 3:30PM they are closed at 1:00PM on Fridays. We (pharmacist and I) tried calling the emergency number in their voicemail, but it went to a disconnected line. Pharmacist helped me out and got me a slightly different prescription, but this was way more complicated and frustrating than it needed to be. While the in-office experience was truly great, getting a simple prescription has proven to be a disaster. That coupled with a non-operational "emergency number" forces me to deduct some stars. I would give them another shot due to the in-office experience being great, but am pretty frustrated right now. If yelp allowed half stars it would be a 2.5 star. Unfortunately since I'm now super annoyed it's going to round down. read more

Buyer beware! NO refunds, and no warranty regarding glasses! When I asked about the warranty, they just told me it has a manufacturer warranty, so I kindly asked for a copy. She said they can't do that. So I stated that they should be able to provide buyers with warranty or policies she replied; " I did, just told you what they are." She was incredibly rude. She refused to put anything in writing or print me out a manufacturer warranty of any kind. A waste of $150 for one pair of their cheapest frames that don't even work. I showed up to my appointment, there were 3 receptionists there which felt like a lot? I gave them the wrong health insurance card (my bad) but then they were saying I had no vision coverage through my current plan. I called myself while I was there and found out that wasn't correct. I then gave them my husbands social (which apparently my vision only goes by ID# which I later found out), they still couldn't pull me up. I think one other person walked in while I was there and they said they were "a half hour behind" with me and that they would have to reschedule. In the end I just felt rushed and able to figure out more on my own. I ended up figuring it out myself and going with a different clinic. Overall the whole process felt like a hassle and had better in person interactions with receptionists at other local vision clinics who were more knowledgeable about health insurance. read more

Terrible customer service, I called to schedule appointment.. was rudely told to schedule online. So I made my appointment, filled out the proper questionnaires. Showed up at appointment only to be told that they wouldn't be able to order glasses because of insurance. Totally discriminated against. They could of easily handled this by letting me know ahead of time, so I could of scheduled elsewhere. But no! The manager was very rude and uncaring when I explained my frustration. Now I have to take more time off work to take them to another appointment to get glasses ordered somewhere else ... such a awful experience... I don't wish this on anyone. read more

Front desk has horrible customer service and no interest in building a client patient relationship. Any time I call feels like I'm inconveniencing them and not important enough for them to help me or answer my questions . I also understand every company has guidelines but was treated like I wasn't allowed to come in to look at possible frames for glasses. I also had to pay them twice because they never fixed the double charge. Highly disappointed in this business as it's gone down hill. The eye exam was ok, but when it came time to pick up my glasses they wouldn't give me the time of day. Normally when you pick up glasses someone sits in front of you and makes the adjustments so the glasses fit properly and comfortably. This place doesn't do that. They place the glasses in front of you and if you ask them to adjust the glasses to make them fit comfortably they make it known that you are inconveniencing them. I have to take my glasses someplace else to get them properly adjusted to fit comfortably. Once they get your money they treat you like garbage. Although the doctor was o.k. the office staff makes me never want to return. read more

The receptionist was rude. I called because we would be late, which was my bad. I arrived before the time she said "I had to be there or my appointment would be cancelled." The receptionist continued to bring up the fact that I was late to the tech. Loud enough for me to hear it. "They will just have to wait because they were LATE. and "You'll have to bounce between patients because they were LATE!" I finally had to say something to her because it was so incredibly rude. I know I was late, I called, and I was waiting patiently, and there wasn't an issue. Then- they didn't even have his contact prescription ordered; they fitted him with something off the shelf. When my son said they were blurry and he couldn't see, the doctor just said, "That's how they are, and if he doesn't mind the blurry vision, he can keep the contacts." I was like, what? Why would someone want blurrier vision? Come to find out because he has astigmatism, contacts might not be a great choice for him at his age (he is only 12). But instead of letting me know that in advance when I scheduled his contact fitting, they just let me go ahead and do it. Probably so they could collect the $150.00. I was told they would call with a follow-up in 3-5 days; after a week of not hearing anything, I called them. They didn't answer, so I left a message. The receptionist called back and left me a less-than-friendly message. She mentioned they were short-staffed and that's why I didn't get a call back. That is when she mentioned contacts aren't a great option for kids with astigmatism. AFTER I already paid...So I called back- again got VM, and that's when I said that I felt extra ripped off, knowing they knew that it wasn't a great option for my kid and still letting me schedule and pay for the extra appointment. I said I would take my prescription and get glasses elsewhere. I never got an additional call back to try and make it right. NO STARS. The only positive thing I can say is that the young man who is the tech is AWESOME. He gets 5-stars. read more

The main receptionist who seems to have been there for years is extremely unwelcoming and rude. My husband and I have been coming here for maybe a year because it's so convenient, and every visit she has become more unpleasant. Don't get me wrong, the doctors are great here but we absolutely dread walking in especially when this receptionist is working. I'll have to get her name next time, but we don't appreciate being cut off and barked at like we're not grown adults. read more

Have been taking my kids here for years, today I received the rudest serve ever. I had an appointment date and time and they booked over it. Blamed me! Actually she said that was just a suggested appointment and that I could possibly book an actual appointment a week or so later. Who leaves a doctors appointment with an hypothetical appointment? I wrote a review for this office a year ago that was less than stellar. While I believe that businesses should answer for poor customer service, I also wholeheartedly believe that good customer service should be acknowledged as well, which is why I am submitting a second review. I recently needed to have a pair of glasses repaired and found that I would have to return here to do so. When I called, Angela was courteous and helpful. I texted her a picture of the issue and she said she would check to see if they could do the repair. She got back to me the next day and said the part had been ordered and that I could just stop by when it was in and they would do the repair. She let me know less than a week later that the part had arrived and made an appointment for me to come in. When I arrived she had me sit and wait while the repair was done. Due to the office being busy I was waiting for about ten minutes when Angela advocated on my behalf to one of the technicians to do the repair so that I didn't have to wait any longer. The repair was done immediately and was also free of charge. I left feeling very satisfied with the customer service I received from Angela from beginning to end. I will look forward to making my next appointment. read more

Saw temporary doctor while regular was out of town. Prescription I got was inadequate. I went to the location where they were made and they double checked to be sure they were made correctly. After determining the lenses matched the prescription I was told I needed to get a re-exam. I went to LSVC and two of the staff re-verified the lenses were made according to the prescription. However, then they argued with me trying to say there was nothing wrong with the prescription. I tried to reason with them. Clearly something had to be wrong with the prescription if the glasses were ground to the prescription and I still couldn't see to read in them. They tried to make it a case of this type of lens vs. that type of lens. I have a high school friend out of state who is an eye doctor. I got in touch with her and she basically told me what they were saying was a load of hooey. I had to go in three times before they'd agree to reexamine my eyes. I finally went in for an independent exam out of insurance because I no longer trusted them. Surprise surprise their exam said my eyes were what the previous doctor at their clinic diagnosed but the independent exam showed I needed just a wee bit more strength in the reading section. It took almost three months to sort this mess out and get glasses that were ground to the proper prescription. I won't be using them again. My Boeing insurance and I will go back to the Shoreline Costco optical department for all our vision needs! read more

Absolutely appalled by administrative staff! My ten year old had his first appointment scheduled here and when we walked in the door, my two year old took a lap around the (empty) office. All three of the angry hens behind the counter scowled at me and one actually YELLED at my toddler. I picked her up and set her on the counter as I was finishing my son's check-in and the woman helping me told me that my TWO YEAR OLD would need to wear a mask if she were to be in the office. I said "what?! she's two." and she said (with maximum snark) "it's a company policy that ALL guests wear masks." I understand expecting adults and older children to wear a mask but you don't mask a two year old even at a doctor's office or hospital. Horrible customer service, we left without being seen and got the stare down from all three "ladies" as we left. read more

I highly recommend you do not come to this clinic. I got glasses there about 6 months ago and the frames have already broken (not from misuse or being damaged), but literally the stem just broke off. I tried taping them together so that I could...ya know...SEE. However, the tape would not hold them together and I had to use glue so I could wear them. When I contacted them the following day they refused to replace the frames saying gluing the glasses invalidates the manufacturer warranty. Do they expect someone to just walk around blind for days? They should stand by their product and do the right thing. read more

I was able to complete all of my new patient documents online, so checking in was very efficient. I had some preliminary testing with a tech, very friendly and efficient, then a very thorough check up from Dr. Vo. I've been a patient at lake Stevens vision clinic for probably close to 20 plus years. Dr Windhorst was a wonderful professional and the staff was always friendly and a pleasure to visit. Grace was always the one that answered my questions and was able to figure out my crazy insurance. So she quickly became my favorite person there. I came in for my annual and mentioned to Dr. Vo I wear reading glasses and have only the one contact in my right eye. We did the annual eye exam tests that she recommended. Dr. Vo's recommendation was to change my prescription so I could read close up better and may not need my reading glasses. I was really missing my previous eye doctor Dr Windhorst at this point so I took the doctors recommendation. Today's annual exam well over a year (Covid-19). I told the assistant I didn't care for the contacts that I got last visit. I had struggle with seeing anything in the distance as far as street signs etc. The assistant went and talked with the doctor. The reply I got back from the assistant was maybe I should find another opthamologist if I'm not happy. Wow! Dr. Vo was not even professional enough to come talk to me or see me. I took off early for work to make this appointment I felt it was very unprofessional and exceptionally rude. Damn well I miss Grace! read more

The very first time I took my daughter to an eye doctor I took her to Dr. Windhorst because he was the closest I doctor that took my insurance. My daughter was six at the time and she had a very difficult time focusing on the letters. The doctor quickly became agitated with her. when I tried to calm her down he asked me to leave the room. When I refused he became super rude with me. By the end of the visit he decided that because she couldn't do the eye test that he would just give her the strongest prescription possible. After that visit I did not take my daughter back a eye doctor for a few years until the school nurse became extremely concerned about her eyesight. I found another doctor in Snohomish that changed my life. It turns out my daughter has a very serious, life altering eye condition called refractive amblyopia. Dr. Windhorst had suspected this condition but had not talk to my husband or I about it when we went for her exam. The condition is time sensitive and because he did not tell us about it my daughter missed out on years of therapy that were critical to her condition. The damage that he did by not telling us is permanent and she may not be able to drive a car someday! Whatever you do please don't take your child to this doctor! read more

Very thorough professional, and expeditious eye examinations in a pleasant and well staffed open, ground floor office. Being a pilot, I have had eye exams everywhere from the Naval Aeromedical Institute to aircraft carriers and I will be getting the rest of mine at this office. I brought my daughter in and added retinal photos to her exam to track the health of her eyes. They are a VSP preferred provider, so that helps with insurance. They are located in Frontier Village with easy access to/from hwy 9 between Target and Yumiko's Teriyaki. I am impressed, pleased, and grateful. read more

I used to think my vision was normal and I didn't need glasses, but I had been experiencing headaches while reading so I decides to have my vision checked out at Lake Stevens clinic one weekend. I was surprised at how bad it really was and how easy getting my first pair of glasses could be. The staff helped me pick out a pair of glasses that not only look great, but fit perfectly too! I only had to wait about a week for them to be ready and once I put them on, I don't have any reason to take them off. I was happy to have my eye condition explained to me like I was five which made me feel better about having glasses. DO NOT GO HERE. I paid for my services up front and when my glasses came in the prescription wasn't right but they tried to force me into taking the glasses anyway and just "get used to them". The new staff are rude and short! Since the new owner took over the prices has went up! We have been patients there for years. My sons glasses were under a two year manufactor warranty and the broke within a year and I still had to pay for a new pair of frames because the clinic wouldn't honor the warranty because they claimed the frames had been discontinued. I went in to purchase the frames and fpr my sons eye exam and found out the new owner switched manufactor and wouldn't provide me the number of the manufactor who made the frames so I could get them covered. I have to agree with Meaghan about this office. From the minute I walked in, I could feel the power trip going on with the front desk staff. It was very clear that they were going to be in charge of everything that went on in there. It should always be a partnership & the truth is - first impressions DO matter. I have been bringing my son here since he's needed glasses. They excepted the state insurance we had at the time. The staff is very helpful and understanding and patient with my son and I. After a terrible experience at Cascade Family Eye Care I decided to come here for my own personal eye care since I really liked the doctor and staff. I don't understand the bad reviews for this office. The staff at the front desk have always been straight forward and helpful. They took the time to help my 4 year old pick out his own glasses, which was no quick task but an important one if he was actually going to want to wear them. They have also been helpful with drop in frame adjustments when said 4yo bent them out of shape. The Doctor was kind and friendly, making what could of been a scary experience for a young boy comfortable. It's things like this that make going to a small office, and paying a bit more for the product totally worth it. read more

The workers lied to me about what my insurance would cover and they told me that the contacts I ordered for my kids were covered 100%. When I got a bill for over $100.00 for the contacts, I went to the clinic and I was told that they never know for sure what the insurance will actually cover. I felt lied too and and soon as I told them this, they immediately knew what my insurance covered and told me that I would be paying 15% of the contacts fee. I would not recommend this clinic. Also, every time that my wife is called, they call her by her old last name that she hasn't had for 8 years and every time she corrects them with her "new" name yet they never seem to change it in their computer. read more
