Our experience has been great with the Jungle Movement Team. We go primarily for their Tues/ Thurs since it's fits into our preschool schedule. Coach Kelsey, Coach Jarred, Coach AJ, and Coach Arron were few of the classes we've been to. Coach Arron has always been amazing and well-liked in his classes when my son attends. My son enjoyed his class the most bc there's always something new the Coach could add in to learn. This gym offers a lot of pros with flexible open gym hours and their variety of classes which changes occasionally. My kids enjoyed it. Definitely recommend to other families! read more

I remember coming across JM on what I swear was Yelp, but must have been google when looking for kids places to host events for our mom group, I want to say this was 2018? Anyways, I remember looking at the website and being overwhelmed but was extremely intrigued. I reached out to JM, Matt had given me awesome info, walked me through all of their memberships and such. My son made a few visits and was blown away, said it was the coolest place ever but he was a little young to take full advantage so we hadn't quite joined, just did punch cards. FF to 2019 and we booked our sons bday on their website, Josh followed up with me, asked a few questions trying to personalize it to my sons interests and got me pumped. Let's just his 6th birthday was a HIT, and not just for the kids I saw so many parents having a good time. I've been to kids parties at gyms where we were instructed that NO ADULTS were to touch any equipment or attempt any acrobatics. Not at Jungle! In fact I feel like it's encouraged (safety 3rd though of course). Well it's now 2021 and we are lifers, 4 of us have memberships (including my 39yo self), we are all obsessed!! We spend 3-5 days a week there between classes and open gym. I love that each of my kids can be doing a class while I'm doing my own class! Hey moms... ever wanted to hang from a ceiling? Jump over a wall? Bounce on a good trampoline? Then this place is for sure for you!! I'm 39 and love acting like I'm 19 again. There are so many different ages, body types, strengths and different athletic skills that anyone can jump into a class. After covid I'm pushing 180lbs, I'm slow, overweight and hadn't moved in awhile; now they've got me doing the splits, pull ups, flips all sorts of stuff. The price was hard to swallow but the more each day goes by the more I see the value. We get SO much for our money and I'm so thankful we found our "home" gym. My review is all over the place but overall if whether you are a couch potato, mom, dad, college student , retired, ex HS athlete, or a professional performer, YOU are a perfect fit for the Jungle. Although, totally out of the way for THIS Cedar Park Mama, I will say that it's a great spot to take your kiddos that love to climb and jump and parkour! It's huge and not too crowded like other places. There is one pretty serious parkour area right in the front that you'd let the older ones and experienced enjoy. But, if you have the younger, more timid, but super curious and wanna be like their bigs, go through the opening into the expansive gymnastics room. They've got a softer matted version of parkour that's above the main level (so it makes them feel cool they have to climb up on the big soft cubes to get there) and there are walls to walk, jumps into foam pits, and tunnels. My youngest really enjoyed it. The one star I'll remove is because my oldest (on the spectrum but high functioning) immediately noticed several hazards and decided to just try a couple things before staying safe and wishing his younger brother would just be ready to get out of there. LOL The thick dust in the air with the fans blowing wasn't great, there wasn't anyone really monitoring how the kids were behaving in the space, so my son witnessed a girl pushing a kid off a beam pretty hard and he was hurt. She attempted to do it again but a bigger boy came over and said something to her. The big one for my son was that the entry Parkour course had several places where you could get injured if you had jumped down from the monkey bars and rings (there were weights on bars laying right underneath). There were also areas where he said you jump down into nothing between the wall and the course. Im pretty sure he wasn't supposed to do that, but he was following a line of boys and that's what they were doing. LOL. All in all, we would return I think. I DO believe it is a great place for those who have experienced and "tough" kids. It'll wear them out and keep them entertained. ***Will also say that IF my kids were interested in making me drive here all the time, it would be nice if it were more catering towards the poor parents who have to be there for hours. More than 10 chairs, maybe in more than one spot for easy viewing of the action. The woman at the front desk was super nice too. read more

I had the opportunity to visit and take complimentary introductory classes with my kids and nieces, ages 3-9. The idea of having a fun place to workout with children was exciting and of course, we were thrilled at checking it out and seeing if it could be our new family gym! The membership allows friend passes that we could enjoy with extended family when they visit, so we were ready to explore! We were fortunate they had 4 spots for the girls to take a trial class and for my 3 yr old, we paid drop in gym. When we arrived at the gym we were greeted by a guy who was very friendly, informative, and helpful in getting us all set up. Great attitude! However, there was another woman at the front desk who was less friendly, seemed impatient, arrogant and with an air of disdain. Regardless, we were there to have fun and all the kids were excited so we didn't turn around and leave. The girls had fun in their gymnastics class while we played in open gym in parkour areas, trampoline, and other ninja warrior type obstacles and activities. The girls coach was amazing!! She took time to work with each kid individually, learned their names and you could tell she really loves what she does. Very friendly and spoke to us afterwards about their abilities, everything the gym had to offer, and I was talking to her trying to figure out which membership would be best for us. I would definitely give this place a 5/5 if it wasn't for the one lady at the front desk. After the fun we had, I forgot about her until we were leaving and as I was walking out, I said "thank you, we had so much fun!" and looked directly at her. She gave me half a smile, said nothing and looked away. Reminding me of her original behavior. I don't want one person's poor attitude to ruin our ability to enjoy the gym, or fellow Yelper's, because it does have so many unique aspects not found elsewhere in the area and the other employees were stand up people. I was lucky enough to get a sneak preview of The Jungle Movement Academy. This place is very ambitious! For starters, the instructors teach Parkour, gymnastics, rock climbing, martial arts, archery, and all kinds of amazing adventurous things. A few of the instructors have been top competitors on American Ninja Warrior, and you can see that some of the obstacles are built specifically to train for the show. This gym is enormous! There are big trampolines, small trampolines, long trampolines, soft mats everywhere, a foam pit filled with soft cubes, a huge springy gymnastic mat with a basketball hoop. There are rings to swing on that go above the gym, salmon ladders to pull up on, running walls with rock climbing pegs on the back side of them. I tried out some of the new obstacles they are building as well, like a 20 foot Endo board (balance wheel,) that uses tractor tires for the base. All in all this was great fun for the family: me, the wife and my 3 year old. We will be back for the grand opening this Saturday, and of course when the gym officially opens in February! read more

Took my 12 yr old and 6 yr old here during the summer. #1 word that came to describe the scene: Chaos. There were so many kids during so many random things that I don't know how now did not get hurt. It reminded me a little of 'Lord of the Flies.' In that kids were in control. There did not seem to be an flow through the parts of the course, where to start, what to do next, or anything. Just kids running around. And the adults there, most were either on their phones or they were the ones literally hanging from the rafters 50 ft in the air and doing flips into the foam pit for the kid's entertainment. Kids were having fun, but it was too much going on with no clue for first timers on what to do. We had two hour pass and we didn't even make it to one hour. I was pretty disappointed. We drove an hour to do it. Won't be going back. read more

I am so impressed with this place and with Coach AJ. My 4 yr old is shy and hesitant to try new things. I have also worked at a pediatric level 1 trauma center for 12 years so I would be perfectly happy keeping him in a bubble (lol). I was worried this would just be a free-for-all for "wild" kids but it's not. At least not in our experience. Some parents probably treat it like that, in which case these coaches are saints. Coach AJ and the other coach with him seem to make sure the kids are listening, staying safe, encouraging them to go beyond their comfort zone while not pushing too hard to make them not want to come back. It definitely helps to have two coaches with the young kids. But even when it was only AJ teaching our very first class, I stayed nearby for when my son needed a little extra support. If you decide to bring your youngsters here, I would encourage you to stay and watch, as with any new sport/activity your child is trying. It's a great opportunity to build confidence and focus. read more

I walked in with my 2.5 yr old son, two weeks ago, not sure what to expect. It's amazing! Imagine everything and anything that can be climbed on, it's there. A little overwhelming at first because you're honestly not sure what to do. Then the amazingly friendly and passionate staff stroll over and your worries are gone. Every one of them exceeds your expectations. They guide, support and encourage you to go beyond your comfort zone. Their compassionate and supportive nature is like nothing I've ever witnessed, anywhere. It's not just a job to these guys, it's a passion. In the last two weeks, I've seen my very shy 2.5 yr old little boy, just blossom. Today he climbed walls, rope ladders, jumped off trampolines and his confidence grew off the charts. It's not just a place for kids to go and explore, but to learn about themselves, to trust their instincts and to build confidence. There's classes for everyone, adults and kids a like. Give them a try, I promise, it's unlike anything you've ever seen. Don't worry if you don't know how to do something, they'll teach you. Seriously Update as of May 8th, 2018: It's been a few months now and we still love going to The Jungle Movement. I can't stress enough how calling this a gym, just doesn't give it the credit it deserves. It's a family place where adults and kids alike can learn and grow together. This gym is soooo different....it's fun! Kids of all ages love it and adults enjoy it too. It is diverse and attracts those who want to get out of the exercise rut and are bold to try something new. We have attended 2 birthday celebrations here and the kids love it! The parents can sit and watch while they play. There gym is very spacious for the young ones. There is a mixture of serious athletes and children that just want to have fun. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I am not sure if having a video game in the lobby is a great idea for the people checking in at the front desk and employees on the phone, but if it works for the staff, why not? I took my 6 year old boy and 7 year old girl here today they had a lot of fun for the first hour. The staff decided to play a game of tag where the kids chased a staff member. My daughter tripped and feel really hard over these balance beams trying to tag him. She was in a lot of pain and trying not to cry. Another staff member gave her an ice pack and checked on her. She limped around for a half hour before giving up. I felt bad because my son was still having a lot of fun, but I knew she needed some medicine and rest even though she was trying to put on a brave face. I appreciate the nice staff member, but I am frustrated with them suggesting a game where there is equipment on the ground. I get things happen, but this could have been avoided. It's sad it ruined her experience there when we still had so much time left. read more

We have tried other parkour establishments in the past but our son now calls Jungle Movement His Gym. The staff (mostly adult and expert practitioners)are caring and considerate and know most of the kids by name. They spend a lot of time in the gym giving tips and encouragement. This place is incredible!! My daughter, loves it! She started coming here about 2 months ago, after trying a free class. She loves the competitive aspects, and the stories they tell. Every time I go and pick her up she is a sweaty mess, tired, but still excited to show me something she accomplished that day! Every interaction I have had with the crew that works there has been extremely pleasant, they have been super accommodating to my daughter who has had to miss some time do to the summer flu. We had our son's 5th birthday party here and it was incredible - for the kids AND adults! We went with the all inclusive package which included open gym use and games for 20 kids, fully decorated themed party room, and costumed instructors doing choreographed routines. The instructors were spectacular - fully in character and super kind and patient with the kids. The event staff was wonderful - the room was decorated perfectly on theme with awesome extra touches.
