You can see the toll plaza from the parking lot

Lake Underhill Park is a lovely little oasis that sits right by the 408 highway. It is a nice place to walk around and just take in the lake. When I say that it is by Highway 408, I needed to stress that this park is literally by 408. You can see the toll from the parking lot and for one section of the park, you are basically walking beside the shoulder heading east on 408. All that is separating you and the shoulder of 408 (and the vehicular traffic is basically a wall. If you are looking for a park that will make you feel like you are a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of a city and that you are in some oasis of nature, Lake Underhill Park is probably not for you. With 408 on one side of the park and busy Lake Underhill on the other side, you never lose sight that you are in the middle of a city, but it is still an enjoyable park and one that I enjoy. I am not alone in my admiration of this park. I was here on an early Sunday morning and the park was quite busy. People were walking it and bicycling it. We had boats out on the lake either fishing or just enjoying being on the water. They have a parking lot, but it was kind of full when I got there. All in all, I am a fan of this park and give it five stars.

Talk a relaxing walk or enjoy an exhilarating run on this scenic and serene route from sunrise til sunset. If you're thirsty there's a few water fountains spotted around the trail or if you're running low fill up your own bottle at the fountain which has fill up station perfect for water bottles. When you drive in there's bathrooms directly to your right and they are always clean. Test your strength at multiple workout stations throughout the park. Even enjoy watching the sunset or even bring your boat for some fishing at the dock. One of my favorite parks in Orlando!

Love this place to come for a walk If you need a place to kill time this is the spot to come to. Parking is limited tho

This is a lovely park with a nice walking loop around the lake and over the 408 bridge (on a pathway next to it, not on it so it's safe from zooming traffic). There's a nice view of the lake and the skyline of downtown along with some exercise stations along the path. There is also a boat ramp and restrooms at the parking area. It's a great area to get outside and take a nice walk or bike ride!

Gorgeous 1.5 mile paved path around Lake Underhill with intermittent workout stops. Some of the path is shaded. Very dog friendly! Residential/streets nearby, but safe area. Private parking lot.

How long have I been living in Orlando and only recently just visited this park for the first time? More importantly, what took me so dang long to do so? This park is perfect for cross training, walking your dog, heck even water sports. Saw some people jet skiing in the lake while I was there and they seemed to be having a great time. Personally, I came to jog, and the scenic beauty coupled with watching others contributed to make my 4 mile jog go by in a heartbeat. I was shocked to discover I had been there for over an hour, it went by so fast!!! Love the different workout stations they have too, I was going across the balance beam just like I use to when I was a kid. Watch out Blanchard Park, might have found me a new park to jog at.

Love this park, wish they had one by my area. Nice lengthy jogging area, body weight gym stations and water fountains!

I have lived in this area for over 30 years. Needless to say I have seen many renovations to the Lake Underhill Park area. In the beginning it was mostly only used for people who wanted to take their boats out for a day of relaxation or for people who wanted to relax and fish. But several years ago they decided to renovate it and make a new and improved walking and exercise area. I think the best thing they did was to create an elevated walkway across the back of the park connected to the 408 highway behind it. This makes a great place for you to take a long leisurely full circle walk, and because there are many people there you feel fairly safe. I have walked there several times and I have seen people running, people biking, people rollerblading, and families walking together. There are several exercise stops along the way as well. There's also a small picnic area where you can stop to have a lunch or other meal. There are plenty of benches for you to stop and rest along the way. I highly recommend that you go out there and check out this beautiful area.

It has a full loop sidewalk around the lake.

I loved finding this park and seeing that it had workout stations. It's a lovely walk (or run) around Lake Underhill. It's a bit weird being so close to the service road and the highway as I am used to more wooded parks and running trails. They have miler markers around the lake, benches for sitting, workout stations, water fountains (with new automated water bottle fillers), bathrooms, boat load in area, dock for fishing, and limited parking lot. It can get pretty busy, but it's not terrible. There aren't any playgrounds, so it's not really a kids park.

You can try parking at the church on Lake Underhill Rd - that will put you directly across from the pull up bars. I came for the pull up, monkey, and parallel bars. Solid bars with rubberized floor. Great view of the Lake and decent running path from the looks of it.

As others have mentioned, it isn't much of a "park" per se and more of a walking trail with various exercise stops along the way. I personally enjoy the view of the lake against the 408 as it reminds me of Orlando's beauty coupled with its business. I like to come here at night and sit on the boating doc and just look at all of the highway lights. I also recommend this park for taking a scenic dog walk.

One of the better parks in the City of Orlando. And a popular park for the residents living east of downtown. Many residents use the trail for walking, bicycle riding, roller blading, and jogging. There are several work out stations, and the trail is also great for walking the dog. As to whether the dog can use the work out stations remains to be seen, but... Anyway...Lake Underhill Park has a public boat ramp, making this perfect for those who like to fish or for jet skiers. And for those who like to fish and do not have a boat, the dock is ideal for casting a line. Many of the fishing enthusiasts, however, have their favorite spot along the lake. Whether you walk by or drive by, there is always someone by the lake with a fishing pole in hand. There are public restrooms, a pavilion with picnic tables, and several benches along the walk when you feel like taking a break from walking. Or perfect for watching the world go by on the East-West Expressway. I myself always enjoyed going down to the lake and feed the ducks. There are also water fountains and water stations for filling up water bottles. Parking is available. Although the parking lot is large, it may at times fill up on evenings/weekends. Whether it is using the trail for exercise, or going out on the water, Lake Underhill is a great recreational park for the residents living nearby.

The wetlands were created in 1991 between the Lake Davis and Lake Como neighborhoods as a stormwater treatment facility to handle the water run off. Wetland parks are some of my favorite kind of parks because they attract a variety of wildlife including wading birds, migrating birds, lizards, turtles, and alligators. At the entrance to the park is a community garden and Little Library. My favorite part of the park is the 0.7-mile loop trail surrounding Lake Greenwood that takes approximately 13 min to complete. This trail is great for hiking and walking. Along the way you will pass cypress trees, cross two bridges, and see a variety of birds enjoying the lake. Animals that have been spotted here include blue jays, ducks, barn owls, and red wing blackbirds. During my visit I saw a Great Blue Heron and a Great Egret along with ducks. The scenery during my walk was stunning. I saw a number of people reading, playing with their kids, and exercising. This is an ideal place to practice your photography, bird, watch, and have a picnic. This is such a wonderful natural resource for the city of Orlando and I loved my visit.

The meet-up instructions weren't extremely clear, but I was able to use context clues, such as the clear kayaks and a small sign with the business name on the side of a plastic tote, to figure out which group we were with. The guides weren't dressed in any specific colors or anything. As far as I know, we were the first to check in, but somehow we were close to last when being set up in a kayak. We weren't told about or offered dry bags either. I saw others with them, asked, and had to run back and grab a couple while we were lined up to launch. Another group asked us to grab some for them as well. Stevie provided us with a brief paddling tutorial prior to our departure being that we were the only ones in our group to have never been kayaking previously. Ben made sure our seats were set up properly and secured for the ride and assisted me with fashioning my life vest into a cushion for my bottom. After the tour, everyone was complaining about their bums hurting, but I was just fine! As paddling novices, we stayed at the rear of the pack for most of the tour and missed out on all of the informative bits and bites provided by Stevie, but the springs were relaxing, beautiful and teeming with wildlife! It would've been nice if we could've been positioned at the front of the group, being one of the first to launch since we did arrive first and we were beginners. Just a thought for future tours. The manatees were majestic! Go for the manatee. I was worried that we wouldn't see any, but that was no issue. The water is crystal clear and the manatee are present. They're calm and they come right alongside and beneath the kayaks. It was amazing. Our guides got us back to dock safe and sound and that's all I really cared about. Pictures were taken throughout and a QR code to view them was provided. Later that day, they weren't there, despite tours that happened after ours being online. During the tour, we were told that we didn't need to take pics because they'd take plenty. In fact, most of us had our things in dry bags for safety. We really wanted those pictures. I called the office and spoke to a woman who said she'd speak to whomever uploads them and if they weren't there by the end of the day to call her back. They were eventually uploaded and I was stoked to see the underwater video of the manatee! I'm happy I took pictures of my husband and I because those candid shots of us struggling to paddle are only suitable for comic relief purposes. Speaking of which, some of the guides' jokes and anecdotes weren't funny and were borderline offensive. I tried to let them roll off my back, but it is partially the reason for the lower rating.

Let's start by saying that you should make sure you are scheduling for the right location as sending someone the direct link may still send them to a different location, as with our experience. I sent my beautiful partner the link to Rock Springs (Rock springs was literally in the URL), but it sent her to Silver Springs. We didn't notice until the trip was booked (less than 10 minutes later) and tried to contact the office to see if we can be transferred over to Rock Springs or if they could cancel the booking since it was literally minutes ago. Unfortunately, we didn't think we would need the trip protection add-on for something like this, but we were told we can only reschedule at the same location because we didn't purchase it... The funny thing is that the Rock Springs option didn't even show up for her when she was trying to rebook, but it did show up for me. Anyways, it's just something I highly suggest you pay attention to. Unpleasant booking issue aside, since we did have to book and pay again for this trip, the tour was pretty good. Our guide was Meagan, who was great. She was also accompanied by a guide who was transferring over to this location who was also helpful. First off, let me say if you have never done a two person tandem kayak before, it can be a little difficult to get in sync and start making progress. We did however get into the groove after the first stop upstream, and after that, the trip was fun and full of sights. The paddling up stream is a bit of a work out, so be prepared for that. You will stop at multiple scenic spots to snap some pictures on the way. I guess we were lucky to take the last tour of the day, as there wasn't a ridiculous amount of people going either way. Once you get to the end of the upstream paddle, the ride back is a breeze. You just have to figure out how to steer and to back paddle to slow down. You can get some really good pictures and take in the scenic views during this time since you don't need to paddle against the current. Our guide took some nice pictures and videos of us and provided them to us at the end of our trip. The initial part of the trip can be difficult, but if you work through it and figure things out, the tour was enjoyable.
