This office is always busy. Aside from a few regulars, staff and specialists seem to have varied hours or work in numerous facilities, so I'm never assigned the same practitioner. The kingpin, Dr. Sethi, saw me once for eleven seconds and my $1500 treatment plan is based on an 11-second prognosis. After being sheltered for two years thanks to covid, patients come in hoards. Especially baby boomers who have the worst teeth ever, having been spoonfed processed food product as toddlers in the 1950s when government had no health department that scrutinized disastrous oral hygiene. During covid, boomers' remaining teeth, if any, rotted out and dentures rusted. With all this business, a small workspace, and only a few persons on the top of the hierarchy who know what's happening, it's no surprise that schedules get convoluted, billing errors abound, already long wait times are further exacerbated, and doctors treat multiple patients concurrently. Thus, Lakefront panders to retirees who essentially have nothing else to do and nowhere else to be. I have yet to see any yuppies or students who have a schedule and social life, and I have weekly appointments with large expenditures to help fuel the $multi-trillion$ industry called healthcare. I was very excited because they were going to put a bridge and a crown , after I got my bridge it broke after 2 months went back to let them know and fix it again pay a lot for the second bridge and after 3 months it broke again very bad material, the tooth that was holding the bridge broke and got infected I went to the dentist and she said that it was not broken and told her that I was in pain she said it's because is tender and left without giving me anything to that the infection, I end going to the hospital because it was very painful , and the crown also was loose and had to go to a different dentist and they told me that sorry for the bad experience you had with lake front smile , don't recommend this place not professional dentist read more

Would not recommend this place to anyone who cares about their teeth. My bf went in for a comprehensive exam and they took about half an hour taking x-rays. Then the doctor came in and saw him for no more than 2 minutes and (very unprofessionally) said how dirty his teeth were and that he needed a deep cleaning. There was absolutely no periodontal probing done at all and when I asked about that they told me they spot probed and measured gums through x-rays. They lied about spot probing because nothing else was done aside from x-rays at the appointment. And sure they can check with the x-rays but that is not as accurate. Probing is NECESSARY to correctly diagnose the type of cleaning (especially one as intensive as a scaling and root planing). The doctor did not even do an exam she barely looked in his mouth. We ended up going with another office where he was diagnosed with a regular cleaning (prophylaxis) and was told he had 2 small cavities (which the doctor at lakefront did not catch). The new doctor we went to actually measured his gums. Most of his teeth measured 3mm and below, indicating that a deep cleaning is absolutely not necessary. Do not go to this office because they don't properly diagnose and they just want to get you out the door. read more

I went here because I did not like the last dentist I went to. I was super nervous. They were very thorough with X-rays and did an exam. At first I was confused why they didn't do a cleaning but realized that they do their exam the first day and have you come back to make sure you get the right type of cleaning (deep, normal, whatever). The Dr. was super friendly. My previous dentist wanted to fill a bunch of cavities yet this dentist said I had a few that were so small that as long as they didn't get bigger, she didn't see a need to drill in and fix them. They would keep an eye on and fix if needed. Some people might not like that approach but I felt good about it. I do not know what to think about this place. This dental practice seem to lack in customer service and management. How do I say this without being too dramatic? but it was horrible! I was here for more than 1 almost 2hours and didn't even get my teeth cleaned just an xray! They couldn't tell me that was the end of my appointment after the xray but no the dental assist said to hang tight. I seen like 2 people already been seen by a hygienist who came AFTER me! I'm still over here waiting lying on the chair. They could have told me to wait in the lobby but I was just lying there then I started getting irritated plus my neck started aching. I had to ask another medical assistant if I'm still waiting to check if they haven't forgotten about me. She says "ok" checks the clip board and walks away and didn't even say anything to me - rude! Then had to wait 20 minutes then the dentist FINALLY came to examine me. He started saying I need this and that done which was kind of odd that I was recently seen a different dentist prior (a couple months back until my insurance changed) and said everything is good, all i needed was to get my teeth cleaned. Initially came here for them to examine my teeth that has been bothering me (wisdom tooth) which was not even addressed after I told him my concerns. I asked if my insurance will cover whatever he was telling me i needed to fix. He let me know that the their financial advisor will talk to me. I went to the front the guy working was busy with another so I waited another like almost 30 minutes. when it was my turn he said he "couldn't pull your insurance info up and he tried like multiple times, is it okay if i call you once i'm able to pull it up.." i said sure which i already knew they weren't and i was right they totally forgot! This place is not worth your time. They obviously doesn't seem to care about getting new patients. I came here because of the good reviews. I don't know where to start day 1 I chose this establishment from reviews. I had extreme lower pain in lh molars I had told the dentist that was examining me it was the last molar. from looking at ex rays he comes and says it's not the last tooth but the one next to it. ok it can be saved....you need a root canal, ok....we can't do it here you need to see a endodontist...Ok. you need to find a endodontist in your network, no help at that time to get me set up I had to do it myself....here I'm in pain trying to facilitate a endodontist if you have to find a endodontist it's hard. after finding a endodontist I set up a appointment and had the work done still in bad pain let me say I'm going on a month of this so far...so I go back to lake front for a revisit to that lower area of rear molars xray ect. now it's the back tooth that I originally had said I had the problem So dr said You need to see a endodontist for review....my God again...so they referred me to someone in this town two weeks later i got to see him...why didn't they refer me to him in the first place? when I had to find one the first time.. he was fabulous . his findings was a split rear molar not savable. back to lake front smiles to give the review....two months into this crap and I just want to get my teeth fixed literally wore out!....OK extraction and get a crown put on the tooth that has been uncoverd for two months. Ok let's get it done wow I'm ready.....Dr comes in with a plan to crown and extract...ok...I have the billing dept sit with you. Ok Keep in mind I have dental coverage. this is where as a patient you have to be aware of your billing and your coverage .....Estimate comes out double charges & for me a charge I didn't need. of course I didn't sign the copy of approval, I ask what does my insurance cover? are you denying I said yes. The biller said I'll have to get a pre authorization I said Ok....how long before we get this any where from 2wks -4wks. really?...2 weeks go by and nothing so I call and ask for a call back.....nothing....Literally I'm done with this place....at this point I'm upset so I go into the office since no call back to ask if I had to sign a form to release myself from them as my dentist as they make you sign a form they are your dentist.....at first yes there's a form to sign and then there wasn't a form to sign ‍ I do have to say the girls in the office are very nice. My Words of advise do your home work on your charges you are paying for or you will be taken advantage of.....! 3 days later I found a dentist I can trust and my bill wasn't 1,400 dollars it was 0 charge as my insurance coverd 100% and my dental work is done! and the pre authorization was done in like 2 minutes smh!!!!! watch your money don't get taken is my moto!! read more

Seriously the nicest staff ever! I have soooo much anxiety when it comes to dentists. Like, my first visit to get a crown done here I spiraled into a crying mess! I can't help it, genuinely but instead of feeling ashamed for being a big baby they comforted me and gave me the space to calm down. I haven't been to the dentist in at least 5 years because they scare me so much but I'm looking forward to my next few appointments because this is the best place I've ever been. Very unprofessional! They will not take you in at your time. I scheduled an emergency appointment for my husband and he left his job early for an infected tooth that was killing him all weekend. Appointment was at 3, he arrived at 2:40 to fill out paperwork (that he was suppose to receive via text and never received). He was not seen until almost 4pm. X-rays done and indeed his tooth is infected. They wanted $500 upfront for an extraction that they weren't able to do because it was close to 5pm yet they close at 7 so he'd have to miss work again. Once looking at the break down, there are definitely hidden fees. My dental insurance covers 70-30 and somehow when they broke it down the insurance was going to cover 600 and us 500. You do the math. They sent my husband on his way with nothing for pain or antibiotics considering it was already infected. Thank god it hasn't spread or else he could become septic. We had to go to urgent care just so he could get antibiotics, another 3 hrs waiting when it could been taken care of initially at this establishment. read more

Michelle and Jessica were great at calming my nerves before we started and Michelle was great throughout the process making sure I was doing ok even dealt with my horrible Gag reflex too!! I am only giving 3 stars, although I will say that my initial visit was quite positive. Staff is definitely friendly, but there were initially some chaotic moments - opening a new business, especially during Covid, is challenging though.... My first appointment was canceled after I arrived due to the doctor being sick. Next was fine... However, I was very interested in Zoom whitening which is not covered by insurance and is more money than I have EVER spent out of pocket since I haven't had any cosmetic procedures. The cost is $400. This is a lot of money to me. I was supposed to get one hour....15 minutes of prep and 45 of actual UV whitening. The prep took a really long time and the technician (who I really loved) suggested that we break the procedure into two sessions so I could actually get my money's worth and all the benefits of the process especially with my history of teeth sensitivity. I probably got about 20 minutes of total whitening that first session. I was supposed to come back the next day for my next half session. I got a call from the office and was told that the technician had "overstepped" and I would not be receiving the rest of my treatment nor any type of refund. I am not happy and am not going to let this go. I am mostly disappointed because I really wanted to find a new dentist and did like so many of the staff... I had a really bad and unprofessional experience when I talked to Marcy on the phone. I made a phone call to inquire the quote I received for my fills and crown because the price that my insurance pays on the quote did not match with the description of my insurance plan. She told me that she has to take a look at my insurance and she will call me back. I waited for 2 days but did not get a call from her so I called her back to follow up. It was so obvious that she did not remember my question at all so I asked the same question. She told that she will call me back in 10 minutes. But, I had to wait for 3 hours until she called me back. But, when she called me back, she told that she has a "technical" issue so she will call me back later. and Guess what. I've never got a call back since then. This is how they do the business. I planned to get braces at this dentist but thank God I didn't do it. read more

Following my mom's second visit, the doctor told me how much she did not appreciate the initial review I gave her office. She went on about how she is there on her day off only for emergency cases. She went on about how she cares for my mom as her patient. She talked on and on and even brought a dental assistant to talk on and on at me. It was hard to get any word in to the point I had to stop their talking to say one or two things. 1. She was more concerned about the initial review than rectifying the shoddy work she did on my mom. 2. The doctor took another x-ray on this second visit and suddenly discovered that my mother would need a root canal, something she did not see on the first x-ray, after a 'thorough cleaning,' that cost $405 after insurance coverage and $175 for filling after insurance. During all this, she did not see that my mother needed a root canal instead of a filling. 3. There was no infection evidence at the initial visit; by the second visit, which was forced by me, my mother's cheeks were swollen and she was crying from the pain. 4. Even after the first procedure, my mother complained to the dentist about experiencing pinches where the procedure was done. They told her it was normal. That normal turned into an infection that they are blaming on the silver filling she's had for over ten years. 5. With the level of pain my mother is experiencing, at least the dentist or hygienist should have called to check on my mom, that has not happened. 6. The doctor blamed everything on a dental assistant doing her internship at the office. That it was the assistants second day, which I countered by reminding her that customer service is customer service. 7. She did not numb the infected area to give my mom relief from the pain. Just gave her an antibiotic prescription. My mom is still in pain and if we do not see any sign of relief, we will have to take her to emergency. 8. Lastly, I do not need to know that she sacrificed her Saturday to come into work all the way from the Bay Area. It's her job. She has no problem collecting our money, yet has not provided the service, as a matter of fact, actually caused harm. Her lack of professionalism and poor bed manners is reflected in her staff. They are all rude, dismissive, and lack compassion. Blaming the intern does not absolve her from responsibility, especially since my own personal experience with her clearly showed the problem is from the top. My mother will not be returning to this dental office, nor will I recommend anyone that I know to patronize this establishment. It's just not worth it. The service provided, or lack thereof, was not free. read more

Drive me crazy confirming appointments , calling , texting I'm still waiting for my receipt I paid cash for 2 weeks ago , I feel as though if you push back and refuse to be taken advantage of they ignore you .... I said no that's not what the evaluation stated that I signed at my exam They were nice enough but because they have so many chairs you get a minute here and there , a hygienist is there maybe once a week ? My "deep clean " was a 5 minute drill session by the Dr. After waiting 45 minutes in the chair I had a crown done and it was ok but the porcelain color we picked didn't look the same after it came from the lab but it was a back tooth and I just wanted to get it finished . My son also tried them out , he is not easily led and just felt scammy With an exam after waiting over an hour , he had 4 surface cavities $900. Only reason I give 2 stars is because they were nice when I first went in. Rude when I chose to not stay with them. If you like to be treated like a number this is the place for you. Dental is the most important thing for me & this dentist doesn't explain things or take her time with you explaining. All the back room dental staff does everything, than the dentist will come and spend 5 min with you than rushes to help the next person. The only reason I left my last dentist was because their hours of operation didn't coordinate with mine, but this dentist has shown me quality or quantity is better. They provide a quantity service, so if you feel rushes/pressured here know you have been pre-warned. The setting is nice but also no patience privacy, you can literally hear what the person whose chair is next to you has to say.
