I've always been a very fearful person when it comes to going to the dentist. I had to leave my previous dentist because of poor customer service and a lack of attention to my needs as a patient. The staff was unpleasant, and that experience made me very nervous about looking for a new dental office. For about a year, I struggled to adjust to the idea of a new environment and kept putting it off. Eventually, I was referred to Dr. Sharon. Even though I was still very nervous, I started bringing my family members in one by one before scheduling my own appointment. I needed to hear their feedback first! Thankfully, they all had nothing but great things to say. Today was finally my appointment, and for the first time in seven years, I truly felt welcomed from the moment I walked in. Denise at the front desk greeted me warmly and made me feel seen right away. She was incredibly sweet and made me feel like I had been an established patient for years. Maura brought me back to the room and was just as kind and welcoming. Then I saw Sherilyn, the hygienist, and for the first time in many years, the experience didn't feel scary. She explained everything she was doing and made sure I felt comfortable the entire time. She was so gentle and kind that I actually ended up taking a small nap yes, really! Dr. Sharon was amazing as well. She is very knowledgeable, she explained the overall health of my teeth clearly and made me feel like she had been caring for me for years. I loved my experience at Dr. Manaois's office! First impression, the office is beautiful! It gives a serene vibe and it's very open. You can see outside and it doesn't feel like a stuffy dentist office. The dental assistant helping me was super nice and personable. Everything is up to date in the office and the dental assistant even handed me the remote to watch tv while waiting! Dr. Manaois showed me all of my x-rays and gave me informative answers to all my questions! Her 2 sisters are the hygienists and I had the pleasure of meeting one of them for my cleaning and she was super nice as well. Dr. Sharon Manaois and her entire office and assistant staff are incredible. I feel absolutely safe in an office lead and run entirely by women of color. I take my mother and have my husband also come here because they are simply the best and every time we walk in, it's like walking into a familiar place that prioritizes family, personal service, and support. Also, have you seen the inside? So chic and comforting and not like you're waiting for a painful and intrusive procedure. More importantly, all her machinery look brand new and she is rocking the latest technology in her field. If you follow her social media page, you'll see that doctor is constantly attending research conferences to make sure she always stays on top of her game and learning new techniques. You never want a doctor operating on you with possibly outdated knowledge! I never worry that I need a second opinion or that I can't be honesty with how anxious I'm feeling or if I'm going to be ripped off with this establishment. Never in my life I have to go through this BS they charged me $100 like she says it's only $100 because I canceled my appointment on that day of my appointment and I explained to them I had to rush my daughter to emergency they didn't care. for me to get my appointment back. I have to pay for that fee. It's only $100 but $100 does mean a lot to some people. Dr. Manaois is the most professional dentist I've had the pleasure of seeing. This review is long overdue since I've been seeing Dr. Manaois since the end of 2020, but right away we addressed my concerns & found a solution that fit my specific case. I had to frequent the office quite often, but every visit was as professional as the last. Upon entry, the lovely receptionist, Denise, offers you hand sanitizer & takes your temp. The staff then direct you to a room & walking through the office is a spectacle to say the least. Everything is clean & in perfect order. From the tools coming straight out of the autoclave to the staff wearing appropriate PPE, my COVID concerns were easily taken care of, no questions asked. I had my first appointment with Dr. Manaois today and everything about my visit was 5 stars. First the office was beautiful and clean. Her staff was nice, welcoming, and just amazing throughout my visit. But the best part of my visit was Dr. Manaois herself. I haven't seen a dentist since 2013 and she was very understanding. I never felt judged about not keeping up with my dental appointments and she was very empathetic about my situation. Disappointed that i wanted to schedule an appointment for an emergency/2nd opinion visit for my daughter. Too much confusion on what the price would be, if i use the insurance or not. Like 3 different totals i was told. The soonest appointment available was 2 weeks out but i was offered to be put on a list to be called sooner if something was available. The most uncomfortable part was that my credit card was needed in order to reserve my appointment. I have made appointments at many different dentists offices for my family and have never had to give my credit card over the phone in order to reserve an appointment. From the moment I walked in, I was wowed. I admired the beautiful plants (that were real) and the simple setup of the waiting room. Denise, the woman working at the front desk, was extremely friendly and patient. I respected the fact that they cared deeply for my safety and their own safety, and took necessary precautions such as requiring a masks and taking my temperature. Finally I met Dr. Sharon. She had such a positive energy. She gave me a tour and I fell in love with their office. The lighting was beautiful, I almost felt like I was at a church. She showed me the middle of the office, which reminded once again of how much they care about keeping things clean and safe as it was the sanitation area. I saw empty rooms which also communicated to me that they were expanding and their office could only get better. Finally I had my exam and cleaning. Dr. Sharon was extremely thorough. I appreciate that. With my previous dentist I always felt like I was kept out of the loop with what was going on. Me being a teacher, I really appreciated this. She also invested in technology that explicitly assist in informing me her patient. Next came my cleaning. The hygienist was extremely friendly, and gave me great advice. I will now be using a better type of floss thanks to her. When she was done my mouth definitely felt much more clean. Finally I closed out with Dr. Sharon, and shared with her future procedures taking place that she might want to notate on my file. I could tell she cared and made sure to do the proper documentation. As I was on my way out and scheduling my next appointment (of many I'm sure), she gave me a report card! I recently moved back from SoCal after living there for close to 10 years so I had to start from scratch with finding a new pcp, dentist, optometrist etc. Dr. Manaois was recommended to me through a friend after my friend posted Dr. Manaois' ig. I am VERY particular with who I go with for care because I have had TERRIBLE experiences with different dentists and these things have haunted me ever since. One thing I am extremely impressed with is the use of technology within the entire dental facility. It may differ from person to person but I rather communicate by text or email rather than phone calls and I got emails and text messages reminding me of my appointment. The X-ray machine was not this odd big and bulky machine AND you can watch shows while you get your work performed. How cool is that? During my exam/procedure, I felt that Dr. Manaois cared for my well being instead to treating me like a number. She explained what she was doing and what certain things meant so I knew what was happening throughout the entire process. She is very thorough and she made sure to explain possible future issues that may arise based on any issues she found. I liked that she categorized things in order of priority and what she recommended to do first instead of throw the whole bucket at me! It can get overwhelming but she made sure to listen, come to an agreement and asked for my input on when I would like things done. She's a very caring dentist and that's all I can ask for! She didn't make me feel guilty about the last time I saw a dentist and she made sure to value my input and address the concerns I had. They were prompt and efficient from the minute we entered her beautiful office. Loved it. Dr. Manois definitely treats you like more than just a customer. I was in a time crunch today going in for my first appointment and she was able to get done what I needed! Although during cleaning process it was a bit intense for a few seconds for my own personal reasons the tools made super loud noises in my mouth and low key scared me everything else went smooth!
