It feels like you somehow wandered into a slightly spooky Disney bayou attraction that also happens to serve brunch. Decorated to the nines and immersive, it is both a meal and an experience. We went for an early Sunday breakfast and were seated quickly. By the time we left around 9 there were still a handful of open tables, but I would guess reservations are smart from 9:30 on. I started with a cortado made with Evan's Brothers beans. They also offer a chicory blend if that is your thing. Our waitress was attentive, answered all of our questions, and was great about a few modifications we asked for. They do have some gluten free and vegetarian options, though not a huge amount of gluten free. We started with the beignets and they were excellent. Perfect portion for two with a couple topping options. I would go back just for those. I ordered their take on eggs Benedict and my husband had the classic breakfast plate. Both were really flavorful, but the seasoned potatoes were a standout. Portions are generous, we ended up getting two more portions out of the leftovers. Overall, a really fun and memorable brunch spot. I am looking forward to going back for one of the events when they have live music.

Once we experienced the super-friendly service and delicious food, we understood what all the fuss was about. My wife had the Benedict and I had the biscuits and gravy and it was hard for us to choose which was better. The vibe was intimate and "down homey" and it felt like a neighborhood hang out. Don't miss your chance to have one of the best breakfasts at Izzy's whenever you are hungry in Coeur d'Alene

It was ok. Not worth $17. Then they ran out of blue cheese crumbles and ran to the store. Sadly to say I never got them which might have added to the taste of the salad given it was supposed to come with them. We waited a very long time for our salads. And a very long time for the bill which I thought the might credit a dollar or two due to running out of blue cheese. But no. Just an apology. Indoor eating is very loud. So be prepared. Also the bathroom had no hand towels to dry my hands. Sorry to be disappointed. It might have been an off day as it seems pretty popular.

Our expectations were beyond met in both arenas. My wife had the Country Bene and I had the Firehouse Bene. This was our first experience with both. They were excellent and we were especially blown away with the Firehouse Bene. Our server did her job perfectly. She should be training servers across the nation. In fact, the service was just about as amazing as the food. The atmosphere is a bit quaint, but we prefer it that way as we find it more comfortable. The cherry on top of our experience yesterday was the Bill. It was delightfully reasonable! Thank you Country Boy Cafe for making our 20th Anniversary extra special.

This cafe is the definition of a local spot. Everybody seemed to know each other and conversations drifted between staff and tables during our visit. The menu is made up of typical breakfast staples but there were a surprising number of variations too! I ordered the huckleberry pancakes with eggs and bacon. My wife had corned beef hash eggs and a biscuit and gravy. The food was delicious. The corned beef hash was the best I've tasted in seventy years. The meat was so fresh and tangy and the potato crisp. I have to comment on the bathrooms. They were incredibly clean, the tissue dispenser was set high on the wall near the bowl and dispensed easily. Everything about our visit was impressive. Do yourself a favor and drop on in!
