With no one else dining-in @ the time of ordering, and very few cars @ the drive-in, we felt confident in being able to be served quickly. 30 minutes after ordering, sitting by ourselves in the first booth directly in view of the staff, none of the 8 employees are working. When i approached them, they didnt have a clue of me ever ordering. While waiting for some type of resolution, a middle aged man, together with his son, also approached the counter demanding to speak to a manager. They appeared to be baffled by this request especially as none of the 8 could have been over 18 and none displayed any maturity in conflict resolutuion. This guy was screaming how he waited over 15 minutes for a simple bacon burger and finally received it cold and without bacon. We got here @9:55, I understand we were 5 minutes until closing but we had a small order and i was willing to tip. Both the boys that took our order and handed us our food were rude, and were obnoxiously talking about how they should've just said they were closed, which would have been fine. I would have understood, but they decided to take our order and then act as they did. We got our food, and there was more than 10 pickles on both our burgers, i really couldn't care less about that but it's just along with the customer service makes me never want to go back to such a rude environment. We stopped for lunch. We ordered our meals, I ordered a #10 triple cheeseburger my wife ordered a #5. One of the youngsters took our meals to another table and gave it to another couple, they opened it and touched it and told the younger that isn't our food, the they came to our table and asked if it was ours. I said it was, they left the tray of food with us. I said we're not eating this someone we don't know had their fingers on it. So they remade our meals, my wife's was food, but they only gave me a double cheeseburger not a triple.. So I said to a worker how hard is it to get a burger I ordered? So she said they're making you an other one. So after 20 minutes of waiting. So asked another worker about my triple cheeseburger. That didn't make one, so the cashier stood by and watched them make it. And she brought it to my table. But by then I was pissed off and not hungry at all, took it to go. They didn't offer any discount or a free cone or sundae or anything.... Last time I'll eat there. They messed up a total of 5 orders while I was there. Mine 3 times. Went up the other night for a chili dog and chocolate shake. Both could have been better. Chili dog ordered w/o cheese. Arrived on stale bun, no onions, mediocre chili. In all, not my favorite. Chocolate shake w/o all the toppings was ok but not anything to write home about. Have done Sonic, McDonalds, Wendy's and now, Dairy Queen. Nice location for fast food & UmmUmmm Good ice cream! Lots of parking. But!! The drive thru gets supper packed and it's hard to get out if your parked in the parking lot. The drive thru is very slowwww. But the wait for the ice cream is worth it!!! The customer service is wonderful and friendly. read more

My first time ordering actual food here and they got my order wrong (mind you I keep my orders super simple and if my kids don't want something I make them remove it at home). The most frustrating part is that I didn't get a receipt so I don't know if I was charged for the items I didn't receive or if they omitted them from the order all together. Haven't been to a DQ in years. Stopped in with my son for dessert. I wouldn't go there for a dining in experience- small seating area probably last decorated 15 years ago or whenever it was built. I would give 0 stars if I could. I understand having new employees and having patience while they figure out the job! I also know how frustrating training can be for a manager during busy day times since I myself am a manager. But simply uses the tools put in place by the franchise would have completely avoided me being mistreated by an employee. Had she called out a order number rather than #2 Large fry with a lobby full of guest there would have been no issue! I even asked the friendly cashier who took my order if I needed my receipt for the order number and he said we don't use order numbers! Im just in disbelief at how that employee treated me,If I was her manager I would have sent her home for talking to customers the way she talked to me . I have never been treated so poorly after paying a ridiculous price for one damn meal and ice cream! than she just turned her back and dismissed me when I told her my order wasn't complete she said "well I don't know" . I am absolutely appalled at how far this Dairy Queen has deteriorated in the last 5 years , this used to be my favorite spot for quick food in Rathdrum but now it is horrific . I went to eat there last night and I didn't receive two cheeseburgers I ordered , they left out all the sauces for our chicken strip baskets after we specifically asked they make sure we got ranch Buffalo and ketchup , the blizzard we got was barley mixed at all it was just vanilla ice cream 3/4 of the way up with all toppings and sauce sitting right atop the cup , and the worst of all was the absolutely horrendous customer service , the person taking our order was incompetent and had no idea what was even on their menu , when we got to the window there was a red headed man who rudely dealt with us and rolled his eyes when we asked for ketchup , which we didn't get . He practically threw our food at us and after all that we still said thank you as we drove away as he just squinted his eyes like we were annoying him . Do not waste your time supporting this miserable establishment , the one in post falls is worth the drive considering how this store is . This Dairy Queen always turns there open sign off way before closing time. An hour or more before they close. It seems they are trying to stop people from coming in. And when you do pull up there they seemed annoyed you figured out they were actually open. I have been noticing this for over a year now every time I drive by. Arrived at this location 10 minutes before close. I tried to open the door and it was locked. There were three people inside behind the counter and they all refused to look at me when I went up to the window to look inside. What's worse is they seemed to be laughing amongst themselves. Okay listen; this was so bad I downloaded the app just to let everyone know to stay the hell away, I paid like 7 bucks for four tiny chicken strip (nuggets) that we're smaller than the ones at McDonald's, which are like half the price, so that was a bad start, on that note the ranch I got was as sour as a lemon and spoiled to all hell.
