    Mini Bowling Alley
    Jill B.

I found Lakepoint Station through Groupon. I had no idea this place existed and the deal was too good to pass up for some summertime-rainy day family fun. The deal I purchased was three activities for four people, so my husband got to channel his inner kid with our daughters while I was their personal photographer, videographer and score keeper. Hands down the Clip n' Climb was everyone's favorite activity. We sat through a short safety video before getting harnesses on and getting to climb. Each group is given 30mins to climb as much as you can handle. My crew found the variety of climb options entertaining and challenging! Our second activity was mini bowling, which was quite underwhelming. Our third activity was nine holes of indoor blacklight putt putt, we liked but felt like 9 holes is really short. We had lots of fun at Lakepoint Station and will definitely make the 30min trek up from Marietta again.

What a gem! Can't believe I haven't been here before. My kids were invited for a birthday party. Started in a private room with pizza and cake for 45 minutes, then the adventure began. And boy was it an adventure and we didn't even scratch the surface of what thEy offered. Dodging lasers, rock climbing (absolute best), arcade, and bowling. Both my kids had so much fun and requested to have their birthday parties here, which never happens. Can't wait to come back and try all they have to offer.

    No time limits notated anywhere

Things started off well during our trip here, but ended poorly. My wife and I enjoyed playing putt-putt and glow in the dark putt-putt. We enjoyed some of the ice cream they have there. Lastly we moved to the climbing event. We got our token, and no communication from the staff that there is a time limit. Nothing on the posted signs that they have a time limit. We completed the safety video, and no mention of a time limit. My wife and I went out and had fun climbing but my wife was standing to climb one last station and the young lady stated that time was up and walked away. We both thought that was very poor communication skills, as well as poor customer service. When we brought it to the manager's attention, he did not instill me with confidence that he would actually do anything to rectify the issue.

Ridiculous to close host a business group and close early the weekend of a huge baseball tourney.

Of the 5 visits this summer, 4 of them have required calling for support on the bumpers, most often resulting in having to change lanes, even after mentioning as we were booking a lane that we need one that has working bumpers. I get this - it's an older facility, and I've watched grown men hurl bowling balls at the bumpers for kicks and giggles, but the basic attitude of the workers here has been difficult. The actual techs try to keep things working, and when one is actually on staff while we are there they get things going pretty quickly. If one is not on staff, though, the majority of workers report they just started, and based on how often I see new faces there I don't think that's an excuse. For whatever reasons, this location struggles to retain staff. I get it: it's a bowling alley, but apparently whoever runs this bowling alley is not hiring and/or training adequately. We typically make an evening out of our visits with food and often games as well, which is why I'm a little surprised that no real effort is made to retain us as patrons. At this point, I might as well just drive to the closer Cherokee Lanes and save a few cents on gas for the same lack of quality. ______________ In the wee hours of the morning after I posted this review, a third-party, off-shore account "replied" to my review, leaving a broken link to something called momo. The name and picture match someone listed for Stars and Strikes on LinkedIn but had the boilerplate language of a copy and paste. This is consistent with what we have experienced in Woodstock - a company that is not investing in hiring and training locally or handling complaints with honesty and accuracy.

Every person in attendance had so much fun, including the parents! VINNY IS THE MAN WITH THE PLAN!!! Make your reservation and when you get there, ask for Vinny and he will take care of you. His level of customer service is comparable to 5 star. He made all of us, especially the birthday kids, feel so special. He was constantly keeping an eye on us to see if we needed anything, which was a HUGE help for me (especially considering our entire party was full of autistic and special needs children and adults). Vinny and the gang were on top of things before I even noticed and had a chance to ask for assistance, so I felt more at ease to relax and enjoy the party with everyone else. It's clear they have a high standard of excellence and they absolutely achieved it during our visit. They even gave our kids a special spray painted bowling pin with a Sharpie for all their friends to sign to keep as a memento! They said it was the best birthday they've ever had! This place USED to be a dive where I wouldn't DREAM of even dropping *late teens* off to hang out without parental supervision. It just didn't feel safe. But NOW?? It has been *completely* transformed into a place where the whole family can go and have a great time without breaking the bank! I HIGHLY recommend Cherokee Lanes (and Vinny!) and we will definitely be returning!

Our visit today was focused in the arcade. A nice rainy day activity to busy the kids. Plenty of games both virtual and live action to keep the self occupied. Something different about this space is that the games are based in dollars versus the typical points systems that a lot of arcades are based on. $50 went pretty fast after some virtual reality and video racing games.
