I asked to have the car brought to our house and the tow truck driver was very rude and began raising his voice saying the spot in the driveway was an impossible spot to put the car which i said ok but that's the only spot i have for the car and he insulted my intelligence and also called the police in which the police were on my side and questioned the tow truck driver why is it that he couldn't put the car in the driveway? After straightening out the tow truck driver he decided he could put the car in the driveway and charged me $400. After i paid him they caused a lot more damage to my car and to our drive way. He even dropped the car off the ramp about a foot off the ground. Just disrespectful!!! Not only were my 3 kids in the car at the time of accident but my wife who had to be put in the hospital for 2 days afterwards and there was no compassion from these terrible people just complete disrespect and rude behavior. About 20 miles from home, my car suddenly completely died in the middle of a 4-way intersection at…read morean I-43 off-ramp last weekend. I tried to get AAA to come help me but it was a nearly 3hr wait (typical for them in this rural of an area). I ended up calling the police to let them know since I was blocking traffic in all directions, and they offered to call a tow for me, which I accepted. After hanging up with dispatch and getting my daughter out of the car, a few good samaritans pulled over to help me get my car out of the intersection (I don't know who they were but a million thank you's to them!). About 5 minutes later, a county sheriff arrived and about 2 minutes after him, Carlton Towing also arrived on scene. I didn't get the driver's name but he was very courteous, professional, and made a very frustrating situation all the more tolerable. He got my car hooked up with the utmost care and en route back to my home in no time at all. I would have still been waiting on AAA in that amount of time! When it came time to pay, he was very upfront with all the costs and fees, and it was a very fast and easy transaction, all done electronically. Even the receipt was sent directly to my smartphone. I recently called for a quote for a catylitic converter replacement. I found Gaspers to be the…read moremost reasonable, so I made an appointment. I had informed the owner that I had recently taken my van to AutoZone, for a diagnostic, and I needed the converter replaced. Gaspers told me it was only an 02 sensor, and nothing more. He did the work for me. My check engine light came back on, and I took it back. I was told that it was now the catalytic converter. I was told that the codes change, and it didnt show up the first time. I called around to some other mechanics, and took it to Autozone for another diagnostic. I was told by all, that the code would have showed up regardless if the sensor was also bad. I called Gaspers to see if he would make it right, and he refused. Said he didnt care what other diagnostics were, because his didnt show that. This is highly unprofessional, especially when there is a pandemic going on in the world! I am not going to allow for a business to nickle and dime me, as I can clearly see, Gaspers must do. I do Not recommend this business to anyone!
