Anyway, this evening my husband and I arrived just after the store closed. We stood in front figuring out our schedule for tomorrow when the shop keeper opened and asked if we knew what we wanted. Without hesitation we thanked him profusely, I knew exactly what I wanted to gift my eight year old grandnephew. We were in and out in less than five minutes. I'm so grateful for his act of kindness. This is a quality gift store, all puzzles and games are beautifully crafted out of wood. I highly recommend that you patronize this business especially if you enjoy quality over quantity and durability over shoddy construction.

There were only 3 children signed up for the "Kids Clay workshop", so there was plenty of opportunity for the teacher to provide one-on-one attention to them. There was not much direction or instruction from the teacher on how to prepare the clay or proper painting technique to use on clay. She did demonstrate how to attach items to clay by scraping. For this age, we felt there should have been more instruction on designing of the objects and directions on how to paint the clay, so when fired, the color would be more vibrant. The color of the completed pieces was very washed out, almost if they had been just painted with water color. The teacher said the project would be ready in 7 to 10 days and that we would receive a text when the pieces were ready to pick up. It took 21 days and we were never notified for pick-up. We had to personally check 3 times to see if project had been completed and was ready to pick up. Very disappointed in the service after paying over $80 for the class.

I love a good local gift shop…read more I hadn't heard about this new spot in Nob Hill but just happened upon just walking by. It's not a very large space, but it's packed with local goods. They have everything from soaps to jewelry, but I will say it's a little more good focused. They have some in-house scent diffusers which I have one currently in my kitchen and I think it smells wonderful. I believe I went with the vanilla tobacco scent, but they had a few different options and the reed diffusers were super cute. The owner was super friendly and happy to share about all of their different products and where they were getting them from.
