This is a parent, teacher, and child's dream store! We casually walked by it as we walked around this mall. I had never heard of Lakeshore before. You can find so many innovative and new toys, books, and learning supplies for children of all ages, many of which I couldn't even find on Amazon. The store is very well stocked and the employees were very helpful. It is huge! We ended up buying a pointer with a finger on it that my baby loved, and he still plays with it today. I was excited to find out that there is a Lakeshore store near me in DC, and I look forward to shopping there as well in the future! read more

As a teacher in California, I would always shop at Lakeshore but now that I'm in the Pacific Northwest, I have not seen this store anywhere near me! I was tired of buying things online and wanted to actually see what I was buying. I Googled teacher store and then this came up. Fortunately we were heading to Seattle so we stopped by and I had a field day! Husband, not so much (not a teacher). The place has a large selection. The store is easy to shop. Best of all, people were everywhere offering to help! How great is that!?! I love great customers service! I actually found a smaller cursive line. I normally buy the huge ones because that's all they have. This one fits above my chalkboard without me having to put the WXYZ below the line, like most. I definitely recommend this location and will have to make it my stop at least once a year, if not more. read more

Finally went to Lakeshore for the first time! They have so much and really great deals right now. It's definitely worth the drive because they have things that no one else has and most school related items are sold out online right now. It's not that big but they have a lot to look at. The customer was great! All the employees where helpful and friendly. I love great customer service. I drove an hour to come here and I definitely plan to come back soon to stock up on more supplies since I homeschool my 4 kids plus I am a teacher as well. Was excited to visit this store, but soon realized how one review was correct on another site about not being helped or welcomed. No greeting or asking if I needed help. Rather followed by an old lady with glasses and short hair throughout the store. Just kept following me and my child. When I got a shopping cart near the entrance, she almost collided with me as if she thought I was going out of the store. I made the comment to her directly asking if she had a problem and why she was following me? Instead, she scurried away and acted busy. No apology whatsoever. Prices are higher than what you can find online. So pull off to the side and look online before purchasing. Also, there are hardly any sensory items. I wanted to support a local store; instead I felt like a criminal rather than a customer/educator. Fix that older lady's mindset and maybe I'll give you guys another chance. read more

I'm very disappointed with this store. I made an online purchase, and made a special drive up to the Factoria store to make a return, returning 1 of 3 identical items. My purchase was Buy-1 Get-1 1/2 off, so I wanted to ensure I received credit for a full priced item. The refund receipt shows $66 from 12/27, and now that it's going through their home office where they process PayPal refunds, they changed it to $33. (Refund for the half off item, leaving me with paying full price for the other 2) I've called twice to speak with a manager and was told the home office would call me back. And they haven't. What a racket. So disappointed in their method of sneaky refunding. read more

Love this place! It has everything you could think of for kids learning! I don't think you can find a more comprehensive store anywhere else. Before buying on Amazon, check this place out. I've been eyeing on the lakeshore multiplication table for my son. It costs $38 on amazon which I thought was way overpriced for that plastic toy. They sell it at lakeshore for $19.99. Go check out their items. They have everything from arts and crafts, to phonics, to math, to school supplies as well as kid chairs and miniature tables. read more

I had no problems finding my 1 year old Granddaughter many learning toys and chew proof books. They also have outdoor play gear as well. I always seem to end up at Lakeshore sometime during Labor Day weekend - and usually with Lissa M. I usually volunteer to help her decorate her classroom and we always need cool supplies. During Labor Day weekend various teacher types fill the store making the parking lot impossible and the small isles impassible. There are kazillions of teachers (most of them with doting husbands holding their choices following behind). You have to get here a bit early because they do tend to sell out of staples pretty early (sentence strips, cursive boarders, etc...) but they always have the highest quality of construction paper, fadeless paper, scissors, blocks - I could go on. Lakeshore tends to focus more towards early childhood and primary grades but has materials, ideas, and crafty stuff for pretty much any kid. I particularly love the "people colors" crayons and markers. They also have zillions of different boarders for bulletin boards and stuff for basic classroom decor. The project kits are legendary - everything you need for an entire lesson (sometimes month-long lessons). There are so many zillions of ideas that the store can be overwhelming! The online and catalog offers teachers and early learning professionals the opportunity to purchase furniture and rugs - but these aren't sold in the Bellevue store. Many think that the Lakeshore line is the finest around. read more

This is a top notch toy /educator's supply store. This is not just a toy store, they have so many educational tools that are suitable for kids 0-5th grade(?). So many of the items I found while interviewing at various daycare and preschool centers were purchased from here, especially a favourite for Bright Horizon @ Summit teachers across the street and the downtown branch. Their parking spaces are actually BELOW the store, if you enter through the 111th st side, there are over a dozen spots. It's a bit difficult to get into the 2 spaces in front of the store level on NE 4th street. So nowadays I always park below and walk up the stairs. I took a brief tour of the store, they sell everything from expensive private brand items to little interesting trinkets. They especially has a commercial grade lamination machine that I will be finding very useful, particularly for my paper crafting projects. :) I would definitely be returning again and again for many more years to come. read more

This place is fantastic. The parking however, is whack. For that flip and crazymaking nonsense, I must deduct a star. If there's ANYTHING you need, however, in relation to making your kid have some educationally based fun or get them smarter or say a great gift for a teacher, this is the spot. It's chock full of things that will expand the brain of the 12 and under set and I'd say that the prices are fair in relation to the awesome. read more

Forget the mall, forget Toys 'R Us, etc. This place has "toys" that engage the brain and are fun - what a concept. The store is arranged well and it is easy to find stuff. The sales staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable as well. Prices can be a little high-ish, but look for a coupon. read more

I love, love, love this store! This store is generally geared toward teachers and classrooms but most items can also be used in the home if you want. A lot of the items come in bulk packaging (sets of 12) but also are sold individually. There are educational/learning items such as flashcards and writing materials as well as games, gadgets and just fun toys. A great selection of art supplies and projects as well. In general there's an eye toward everything having some use for children's education and development, even if it's in a fun package. This particular location is a bit awkward - it's smaller than other Lakeshore Learning stores I've been to and the the parking is limited (two spots in front and then about 10 downstairs) and it is pretty much in the middle of downtown Bellevue but it's just a block or so away from the Toys r Us. So far the employees have been friendly and helpful and the store has been well stocked. On Saturdays from 11:00 - 3:00 there are free crafts for the kids. Oh - if you join what used to be the teacher's club which is now open to everyone, there is 10% off many of the educational items! read more

I nanny for 6 and 8 year old sisters. We stopped by here today to pick up some things for the 8yr to help with skills over the summer. This is what they had to say about their experience... 6: There was cool and different math stuff. I saw a timer that my teacher had. There was A LOT of stuff. I saw some math games in there that looked interesting to me. I think I'd like to go back again and get some of the math games. 8: I saw a lot of things that could help people with their learning. I got a Brainqwest workbook, and a "math key" to help me with my multiplication, it's good because you can't make a mess with it, you don't need a pencil, and you can take it in the car, or the pool! I also got a Writing Journal to help me with my paragraph writing and developing your ideas. I'm happy with what I got and I'm excited to get to work on them! read more

This is my first visit to this location. This store is great because it offers many different teacher supplies for the coming school year. They have things that are fun to use whether your a homeschooling parent, daycare provider, or an early childhood educator. It's not a very big store, so it was packed. Everyone was really kind. But I felt like I was in the way, no matter where I was standing. Plus, the parking situation is very tight. They have a handful of spots on the top floor and about a dozen spots underneath the store. It can get tricky getting in and out of there. It's also important to note that 405 has a lot traffic, so please remember to plan some extra cushion time getting to and from this location. The only other businesses for pedestrians offered within eyesight is Subway. This store is in very business corporation district. I just want to give you the full picture before you decide to go. Even given all that I found some fantastic pieces for my classroom. I look forward to using them this coming school year. And right now they're having a sale for back to school. What a great place to buy *intelligent* rather than dumb-entertaining (Toys R Us) toys. Immediately became our favorite place.

A good store for older kids 3+, didn't have a whole lot of my little one, but we'll come back when ours is older. The staff weren't super helpful. They could do a better job of lighting in here. The aisles were super narrow so if you're babywearing, prepare to be very careful. They had the little kids toys in a back corner that was dimly lit and I wasn't super happy about that, with no room to play or test the toys. One comment I did have is that they had a computer setup right next to the little kids' toys and all my toddler wanted to do was play in the computer, I couldn't get him to play with the toys. I would recommend that they move the computer to the big kids section s that the littles can play without any screen time. This way they can sell more toys. read more

Drove by this place for years but never realized it was filled with such a wide variety of games, books, and school materials for kids. Very helpful staff, prices are fine, and you'll find stuff you won't see in typical toy stores. An educational angle (teachers shop here) but don't get a preconceived notion of flash cards and math books. I grabbed a couple gifts and a book for my nephew's birthday. Two things to note: they don't sell batteries so bring some along if getting a gift that requires them. And the gift wrap, while a free service, is a bit tacky with the franchise logo prominently displayed on it. They don't sell gift bags, either. read more

Wonderful store full of everything teacher's need. The parking was bad when I've gone in year's past, but is even worse now because of all the construction in the area. We finally parked in a 2 hour zone 2 blocks away in front of a driveway (that had a construction fence along the whole street, so no one was using the driveway). Came out to a $40 ticket. Clearly it is time for Lakeshore to move locations. A great store is not great if you can't get into it!! read more
