This park (located in a residential neighborhood) has an excellent playscape (appears to be new, since older photos show a different one). It's well-designed with a variety of climbing structures (including a climbing web). However, there are multiple deficiencies: 1) no swings; 2) no canopy cover/shade (although there is a gazebo with benches for parents to sit in the shade); 3) no playscape for younger toddlers (the current playscape doesn't offer much climbing or play opportunities for 2-year-olds). It's a great option for older kids but I wouldn't recommend it for younger toddlers. Bonus for having a large trash can on-site!

There is a small covered pagoda with 4 benches along with an uncovered playscape area with some swings. The playscape area is ringed by a sidewalk with two picnic tables, but no grills. There is no water fountain nor any public bathrooms on the property. It is a public park, not private, which serves the local residents.

This is nice if there happen to be lots of kids in the main play area or older kids playing rough, etc. You can always migrate to a different play area. However, I've never seen this place crowded. If you have younger kids that are too small for the play equipment, this park also offers ample green space to just run around. There is a short trail that circles the park and a little pond overlook where you can watch the turtles/fish. You can fish here. There are bathrooms and water fountains here. Ample trash cans and benches as well. There is even a "little free library" by the main playground. You can reserve the picnic pavilion for gatherings. Parking lot is pretty small but I've always been able to snag a spot.

Not sure if the Texas heat was a contributing factor, however, there was no one at the park at the time we were there. The park is well maintained and super clean. The grassy areas were perfectly manicured and aesthetically pleasing. There is also a humungous pool onsite, however, it did not appear to be operational...perhaps waiting for the hot days of summer. Silverado Ranch Park serves as a great connection point for families, children's and others to enjoy some down time and experience the greatest of being outdoors in a relaxed environment.

The pool area is one of the nicest I've ever seen in a residentialy owned park and is accessible by a key given only to the residents here. TLDR: Surprisingly spacious park with a playground with limited range (not ideal for really young…read morekids). Small canopies provide some shade. First of all, it appears the playground has been redone. There are photos here from a few years ago -- looks completely different now. In most cases, these are clear upgrades but I'm not so sure here. The old playground looks pretty nice -- with more equipment for younger toddlers. Why they chose to redo it is a mystery. The current playground equipment is decent with some nice climbing options. It's a little awkward for grown-ups to access (when accompanying really small toddlers who can fall off) since the steps can only be reached via tunnel. So if your young toddler climbs up, you either have to go through the tunnel or climb up some of the ladders. Not a huge deal although if you're an elderly caretaker, take note. The playground does have two small canopies that offer partial shade. One of the biggest deficiencies is the swings. Only two belt swings for older kids. No bucket swings for younger toddlers or babies. Oddly, the pics of the old playground show baby swings -- why did they get rid of them? Weird. There's quite a bit of space like I previously mentioned but I'm not sure if it's being utilized well. There's a small gazebo but it seems a bit pointless. There's nothing in it (no seating) so it looks like a bus stop. I wish they made it into more of a pavilion with benches (there's space). Ultimately, a decent park especially since Georgetown is a bit lacking in playgrounds (when compared to Round Rock especially).
