Good playground equipment that includes a playscape for younger toddlers. No canopy though so scorching on a hot day. That being said, there are shady areas in the park (saw a few families having picnics). The adjacent creek is nice. There's a little trail alongside it. Turn left (from playground) and you can see the famous Round Rock (just under the bridge). Turn right and you pass a war memorial and soon make it to the spiral (a spiral walking ramp that apparently offers nice views of the creek). It was super hot so we skipped the spiral. The thing that bothered me about this park -- there are lots of blank rusted signs. Were they ever in use or were they never completed? I was just confused by their presence. On top of that, I would have liked to see some actual signs. There were a few by the entrance of the park noting the location of the Round Rock, spiral, etc. But if entering the trail from the playground, you don't see any of this info. There's no sign by the Round Rock about its history and no sign by the tree sculpture by the spiral (at least credit the artist). Large parking area.

As the trail is unpaved, I would also be mindful of the weather within about seven days prior to your hike because it can get muddy. spotted beatutiful vegetation & wild life along the way. I'm not sure if there's many or any waterfalls this beautiful in the Austin Metropolitan and surrounding areas. 10/10 recommended

There are pavilions available and plenty of areas to sit down. The parking are was really good. There are several jungle gyms for the kiddos. The walking trail is well kept and free or holes or anything that will cause you to fall. I saw wildlife along the way. People were fishing, eating, walking, playing games, and just enjoying life. There are little hills next to the playground that have rock steps to climb. No idea if this is for humans or dogs or whatever but my toddler liked them! Ample green space to just run around (great if you have a younger toddler that can't use all the playground equipment yet). Lovely little walking trail nearby -- we had grandparents with us (stopped by en route to dinner) and they were able to take a nice walk. Ultimately, the design of this park is fantastic. The playground is surrounded by green space and separated from the parking area (which has ample spots btw) by large rocks. There is a road nearby but it's not super close and isn't particularly disruptive. Overall, it's just very pleasant being here. Loved it and wish it was closer.

After not visiting for a while, we stopped by today, and were surprised + impressed by the change! The play structures have been completely replaced and modernized. There are two separate structures for different age groups, and they are both fantastic. The playground is surrounded by large green spaces / fields, excellent for playing or practicing sports, flying kites, and more. My kids had a wonderful time playing and we can't wait to visit again soon, next time with a picnic lunch!

Due to the trees there are quite a bit of mosquitoes so during the summer evenings you should keep an eye out for that but otherwise we have found no issues with this park and love the size of it! I found a bag of Buzzballz in the playground (threw it out) so obviously teenagers are using it. A nice option if you're looking for quietude.

The park has some very nicely designed play scapes with swings and the entire property is ringed by trees and cacti. Towards the back of the park, you'll come across a primitive trail that is flanked by cacti which runs behind many of the homes in the area. However, the paved and primitive trails do not link up to any other trails in the area. There is also makeshift softball field, albeit not very large. What you will not find here are public bathrooms, grills, and a water fountain.

This was my first time here, so I wasn't sure where to go. The road that goes around & over the dam is closed until Aug 2024, so I just took the only other option. I ended up at the boat launch, and it's a great place for pics! Plenty of ducks & pretty scenery! Not too many people on the lake or in the campground, but it definitely looks like a nice place to spend a relaxing weekend & drop a line in the water!
