I chose this clinic because it advertises a family‑owned, fear-free experience, exactly what I wanted for a senior dog. Unfortunately, our visit was the opposite of fear-free. The vet came into the room without having fully reviewed his cardiology report or medical records. Within minutes, she told me (very bluntly and without context) that his heart was failing and he might have "around 18 months." This was based solely on a single in‑office exam of a nervous, shaking senior dog. It was extremely distressing, especially because she delivered it in a matter‑of‑fact tone with no empathy or reassurance. The appointment also felt rushed. Her vet tech had mentioned she was leaving for vacation the next day and we were her last appointment of the day and the entire interaction reflected that urgency. Despite how visibly upset I was, the vet continued with worst‑case scenarios, including telling me that at some point I would have to choose between protecting his heart or his kidneys. She then told me she couldn't help us any further and referred us to MedVet in Dallas, framing it as if he needed specialist, end‑of‑life management. Hearing that, without a full review of his records and without any compassion, was devastating and completely unnecessary. After the appointment, I confirmed with his cardiologist and primary vet that her assessment did not match his actual condition or prognosis. The emotional impact of that visit was significant and avoidable with proper preparation and communication. I'm giving 2 stars only because the front desk staff was kind and the office is clean and modern. But based on our experience, I cannot recommend this clinic for senior pets or for anyone seeking a thoughtful, fear-free approach.

Unfortunately, our experience at the new facility last night was completely different. We brought our 5-month-old Doberman to the emergency clinic around 10:00 PM after he suddenly showed weakness in his back legs. I carried him in. Despite this, about 20 minutes later staff walked him back to me in the waiting room and asked me to remove his ear post because the doctor said she was uncomfortable doing it herself. After another 30 minutes, the doctor entered and asked the exact same questions we had already answered twice. When I pointed that out, her demeanor noticeably changed. She immediately began discussing genetic conditions, CT scans, MRIs, and surgery--without first performing or even proposing basic diagnostics such as an X-ray. When I asked whether an X-ray had been done, she responded sharply that she hadn't obtained my approval, despite never mentioning or quoting one. At that point, I declined further services and carried our puppy out. Thankfully, he is fine today. We followed up with our regular veterinarian of nearly 20 years, who agreed that monitoring for additional symptoms was the appropriate next step. I fully understand concerns around backyard breeding and puppy mills. However, we purchased our dog from a well-established, reputable breeder, and the judgment we experienced for owning a cropped-ear Doberman was unprofessional and unwarranted--especially during an emergency visit. Based on this experience, I would recommend considering other local emergency clinics. In fact, we stopped by a newly opened ER in Prosper on our way home and were treated far more appropriately.

****** UPDATED REVIEW****** I've brought my cat here 3…read moretimes now. I like the convenient location of the clinic because I live across the street. First time was for new patient visit and vaccines, second for her teeth cleaning which was over 700$ and then third time to recheck an area at the base of her tail because she was missing hair- $200. I usually give my cat gabapentin for long visits or wellness visits where she gets shots like her vaccines and obviously for her dental visit. But for a random check up on a small itchy lesion on the base of her tail that had already been previously reviewed, I didn't think to give her the gabapentin. She just got weighed and she just got given antibiotics from her dental treatment and she's not showing any symptoms of disease or sickness. Well, the assistant got clearly annoyed with me when I told her I hadn't given Darla any gabapentin, then she grabbed my cat without asking and said they were going to have to take her to the back to review her, when I asked why, because I just needed a visual opinion from the doctor about her hair loss spot, she said "because you didn't give her her gabapentin and she's known to bite" ---- After posting this review the manager of the practice, Duke, who said he's been here 17 years, apologized and gave me a credit for the service that was rendered without consent. And apologized for the behavior and steps taken this day. Changing my review from 1-3 stars due to the kindness of Duke and his understanding of the situation. Thank you

The entire team is incredibly engaging, compassionate, and responsive. They take the time to answer questions, explain treatments, and genuinely make you feel like your pet is their top priority. During emergency situations, they acted quickly and kept us informed every step of the way, which brought so much comfort during stressful moments. Their grooming services are also fantastic -- our pets always come home looking and feeling great. It's rare to find a veterinary clinic that combines excellent medical care with such warm, personal service, but this team truly does it all. After five years of trusting them with our pets (we have 4 who see Dr. Tabor), I can confidently say they provide outstanding care and exceptional customer service. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a veterinary team that truly goes above and beyond!

I called in December 2024 because I was visiting family and had forgotten my dog's prescription for incontinence "proin" and was worried about it. The staff was totally unhelpful and stated they would need to do a full annual exam for it. I told staff they can call her current vet to discuss the diagnosis of incontinence and see her full up to date vet records. The unhelpful lady stated this was against TX law. This is a lie as the law is "For Schedule II controlled substances, a written prescription must be issued on an official Texas prescription form or through an electronic prescription that meets all requirements." Proin is not a controlled substance, and staff was unhelpful and rude to simply get another annual visit in. I don't think most people lie about their dog's veterinary diagnosis. But I had up to date records to confirm that. There is no reason they could not have responded reasonably with an uncontrolled substance for a week. Staff/Owners, you're in a state where dog populations, abuse, and euthanasia rates are some of the worst in the country. Do better. The great news is, I skipped my dog's prion for a week and learned her current vet had diagnosed wrong and she's not incontinent and never took the pills again.
