Full hookups and pull through which is nice, but no shade so it can get hot at the end of summer. The other area, with full hookups is around the perimeter and is nestled in the cedar trees. Larger spaces, quieter and lots of shade. The folks running the place are very nice and everything worked well. My only recommendation is that if you plan ahead ask for an area in the trees.

This is a very quiet RV park that sits off of the busy road that leads to the Bainbridge Island…read moreferry. This road is busy with a huge amount of traffic. Luckily you don't really hear the road noise inside the park. It sits between a mobile home park and a nice shady forest. We made the mistake of walking our two little dogs in the woods who became severely infested with fleas within 3 days so we had to call our vet back home to prescribe a flea and tick medication which luckily Costco carried. Don't take your dogs into the woods. We had the misfortune of being parked next to a chain smoking couple who sat outside their RV in a screen tent smoking one after another all day long. I could not even have my windows open due to the constant stench of cigarettes. It was awful. There are two bathrooms that you need a code to get into. These bathrooms do not get cleaned daily. The toilets are gross. I have had to carry Lysol wipes with me to clean off somebody's crusty ass remains on the seat many times. There was a spot of poo stuck to the side of the bowl that stayed there for a week so I know nobody cleans the toilets daily. The toilet seat was very loose and dangerous and I reported it along with the loose sink basin but both were still loose when we left 2 weeks later. The same filthy spot on the floor next to the toilet was still there too. The laundry room is nice so that was a good thing. If you have pets be aware that there are people that do not pick up after their dog even though there are signs around. Be careful where you step. And if you have a dog that hates cats watch out. There are at least 3 cats that roam around the park constantly trying to kill birds and squirrels. There are barking dogs that you can hear that get pretty loud whenever they hear a siren screaming by with is pretty often. Overall I wouldn't recommend staying here for more than a few days.

They need to restrict size we were way too big for that parking lot. Most of the people looked like they lived there in small trailers. The electric was a problem it couldn't handle 50 amps. We would loose power if we use the microwave but it didn't trip breakers it would turn back on after a few seconds. You have to make a u turn to get out of the park not advised especially if you are towing like we are. The pool was warm and in doors the sauna and hot tub was the only plus but not good enough to go back. Staff was nice but they should have turned us away we could have hurt the RV so easily in this tiny lot. Worst RV set up I have seen in 18 years of traveling in an RV. In 2025 alone we had stayed in over 40 spots coast to coast. If you are over 25 feet I would not risk your rig.

Mary and Pete, the hosts, were incredibly sweet and welcoming. Our one-night stay at this beautiful Olympic-area campsite was peaceful, scenic, and well worth the visit. We loved the never-ending water faucet--supposedly the cleanest water around--paired with a gorgeous mountain view. The site came with camping chairs and a fire pit (though we couldn't use the fire pit due to seasonal burn restrictions). We especially enjoyed watching the friendly chickens roam around. Mary mentioned they're about 4 years old and still laying 6-7 eggs per 15 chickens--very impressive! Their eggs ($6/dozen) had deep yellow, vibrant yolks that were clearly organic and fresh. Yes, the chickens can be a little chatty in the morning, but it added to the charm for us. The port-a-potty was far nicer than average thanks to the scents and care Mary and Pete put into maintaining it--truly appreciated! It came stocked with toilet paper, and the water faucet (with a blue handle) was easy enough to operate once you got the hang of it. Just remember to bring your own soap or dish soap, as those aren't provided. We stayed at Campsite One, which was spacious enough for 6-8 people and offered a fantastic value. Between the friendly hosts, fresh eggs, mountain views, and peaceful farm atmosphere, this was one of the best campsites we've enjoyed--and we'd happily return.

I determined our two hikes - Mt. Ellinor and Mt Townsend - then explored all hotel/motel/b&b options from the Union/Hoodsport area to Quilcene with 2 beds. There was basically 2 options with 2 beds - one higher end hotel (Alderbrook at $320/night for their most basic room, and not ideal since we were literally there just to sleep, and there was going to be a wedding) and motels. The Salmon Cabin was in between and at $140/night was great value. We arrived after hiking the Mt Ellinor trail. The owner, Jim, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us additional info on the Mt Townsend hike. He left us hot coffee in 2 travel thermos at 6am the next morning, and then came to the cabin to check us out after our hike since he knew we were pressed to make our afternoon flights out of Sea-Tac. What made it great: - 2 rooms - bedroom with queen for my brother, and living space with futon for me - Bathroom was very clean and they left toiletries - Great use of space, with a full kitchen if you want to cook, washer and dryer if you are staying several days - They let us stay one night, and were flexible with check-out to allow us to shower after our morning hike - It was quiet and peaceful on a side street off Route 101 A few things to know: - A great central location between Mt. Ellinor and Mt Townsend, but limited options for dining/groceries in Brinnon. Therefore, we planned an early dinner at Hama Hama Oysters before closing (5:30) on our way to the cabin - This is a great value option - the sheets and towels were good quality for the price but you should not expect luxury hotel linens

It was a romantic getaway that couldn't have been more perfect, Maureen recommended a lovely dinner at the Four Swallows and we came home to a crackling fire. I would highly recommend Our Country Haus Bed and Breakfast. It is gorgeous, the hosts are amazing and the price is exceptionally reasonable! I look forward to visiting again soon!
