Been here over 5 years. Great people. Our whole family comes up . S'mores, hot dogs . Weekends lots to do . Working on more fun things to do during the summer !! Love not having to move our trailer. Just bring some clothes and food . The dues $1100. A year. Cheaper than storing our RV .

    What is the longest trail?

There aren't really "trails" in this. It is a camping community that has RV spots you own and a gravel road to get to them. (Plus other amenities). It is however in the woods and has many trails outside the park, and it's within a couple miles from… Read more

Good for quick camp or practice camp for beginning of season. Campground is organized & well groomed. Campsite has tent ready slightly raised foundation area for pitching a large tent for 6 persons comfortably. Picnic table & fire pit on site. We were camped at site 4, across from the restrooms and garbage, less than 20 feet from the water faucet. No showers on site. Camp host has fire wood on site for $8 a bundle. Extra vehicle cost is $8 per night. We had a total of 7 people, 3 tents with lots of room to spare. We really liked campsite #4 as the river was just 10 yards away without being on the creek. Downside is we were able to hear traffic noise, trains and the mosquitoes were relentless!

The road to the camp is a bit of a trekk. It's long, windy, and much of it dirt with pot holes. There's also no cell service out there so be sure to communicate with anyone you're meeting shortly after turning off highway 2. The camp sites themselves are good sized, we easily fit 2 tents and our cars. There was a fire pit and a picnic table too. We had access to the river and enjoyed a nice cold plunge on a warm day. There were several hikes in the area to choose from but we couldn't turn down the incredible Lake Blanca, whose trailhead was only a few minutes away. We look forward to visiting this campground again next year.

There are two sides to this campground, an east and a west loop. My spot was on the east loop, space 15 and I'd definitely recommend the spaces on the east loop, as they give you ample privacy with equally ample access to the creek and the North Fork of the Skykomish River. No power hookups means you can set the devices aside and worry little about what's happening in the city. Out here, the entertainment is happening in nature. Views of surrounding peaks, the rush of the water as it flows past and as night falls, the dotting of stars in the inky black sky will give you exactly what you need before heading back to civilization. Nature truly is the best. I'll be back to this campground again, no doubt.

It truly has everything and is completely beautiful. There is tons of parking and it usually isn't too busy. They have yurts, tent camping, and drive in camping. All gorgeous spots. There are 3-4 amazing river access spots. The river has deep spots, shallow, fast, and slow, making it perfect for any speed of swimmer to hang out. There are usually people in floaties and on paddle boards enjoying the area. The view from the suspension bridge that connects the two sections of the park is stunning. It reminds me how much beauty Washington has and gets me choked up just thinking about it. There are endless cool trails to explore, all leading to fun little adventures and scenic views. This is the perfect park to just spend a day getting lost in nature, swimming, having a picnic, or having a leisurely campout.

We stayed in site #8, which had all the expected amenities including firewood ($4 a bundle), campfire rings, standing grill, tent pad, and picnic table. This campground has a camp host, trash dumpsters, and clean vault toilets. This campground does NOT have water, so plan accordingly. Some of the sites have great views of the Sauk River, and all sites have access to it. Sites #10, #12, and #13 have the most awesome and scenic views of the Sauk River. This campground is nestled among snow capped mountains. Our site had a shaded tent pad and the picnic area was shaded most of the time, except for an hour or so in the early afternoon. This site is a very short walk from the vault toilets, but not near enough to be able to smell anything unpleasant. Most, if not all sites at Clear Creek have so many fir trees that they are very private. To get to the river from #8, one must navigate the eight to ten foot drop to the mostly dry creek bed, then up another embankment. We could hear the mighty Sauk roaring from our tent at all hours. We saw bear cub not far from here! This was a very quiet and clean campground. If you are in search of more adventure simply drive up the Mountain Loop Highway to enjoy views of the river rapids and mountains. Within 10 miles one can access a gas, general store, restaurant, saloon, ranger station, fishing, hiking, rafting, biking, an swimming. This campground welcomes dogs and other domestic pets, provided they are quiet and you pick up after them. So please, be respectful of the campground and other campers!! (Don't ruin it for everyone else, in other words.)
